Why would Jesus ask his father to forgive "them", if Jesus came in his fathers name and can do nothing without his fathers permission. Why is Jesus commanding his father to feel a certain way, when Jesus is his fathers will manifestation.

if i'm not mistaken the orthodox christian explanation is that god is so powerful that he was able to manifest as a human being that it self while holy and right about most things it self does not share total conciousness with god and experiences it self subjectively as seperate from god. thats why he has that moment of doubt where he's like "god why have you forsaken me" because the whole point was to incarnate as a human being and demonstrate to human beings how to live and that it can be done even with all the limitations as a human being. that moment enshrines that its even ok to have moments of doubt but you must persevere by understanding that god has a plan.
