    It is
    Sorta
It just has a mod that makes people likes or dislikes you based on your physical body
And another mod that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to become good at some stuff (or strong etc) (you can’t really choose it, it’s an end thing when characters are made, and you don’t know until you waste a lot of time at a skill and keep sucking at it)

what about ghost sims? do you think human afterlife is like the sim? death personified comes and makes you a ghost?

I don’t think (if there is an afterlife) ghosts are represented correctly here
You can be the most evil mother fricker there is, be a criminal and hurt a lot of people verbally and physically and yet, “death” appears to you the same as everyone else, and you be a normal ghost like everyone else.
I mean sims is a non judgmental fair world doesn’t matter how you look like, people like or hate you based on your character alone.
and as long as you keep at something, you can excel and max out your skills at it. So it rewards based on pure will and not luck (genes)
So it makes sense that the after life of one person is not determined by what he did in this world (a lot of which are due to circumstances of either environment (being poor, or lead paints) or genetics (like being psycho black decenced from rapist murderer slave who got sold instead of getting killed)
Nah, our life starts with struggle, end with struggle, you might even get punished for struggling
        So much shit mods

is true that sims do robotize the human experience, but i do believe that in great shapes the game cosmology is like matrix, and that one sim/human can wake up from the dream and become fullfilled

also ghost sims have a colour and some reactions that work accordingly by the way the sim die. as example, the sim who died drowning will be blue and always wet. do you think there is any paralelism with real life ghosts in that regard?

            >color changes due to activity before death
            Never noticed it, interesting.
            >any similarity
            I really don’t think so

Still remember playing that family, and how that day was full of drama. And when it was over I just sat in awe watching that guy play with his sister a videogame in their TV.
Simpler times, I guess the magic was gone when I realized... it was just a video game...

the simulators are dicks, but they're having a bit of a moment coming to grips that they're sims as well

the sims is, by all means, a parody of our life, and when it comes to spiritual purpose we find ourselves reflected in the game. the existencial means of the sims are profound as long as you observe the game as a its conceptual basis. i go though the streets and i see such different people with different clothing, personality, experiences and shapes, and yet, every human around has been born from a womb and raised under the social contract. the philosophy and the fun of the sims is to play under this awareness, if you don't, want you aren't experiencing the game to its fullest

          That’s something called a pelvis.

Do you know that most Americans who identify themselves as being a healthy weight are actually medically obese? In fact, obesity is almost universally bad for your health, so this isn’t healthy in any way!

I play it in a variety of ways.
Issue is that it never comes to what the reality is.
Sometimes I try to live like a sims, as in “ok something telling me I need to read this book, instead of watching a movie,” so I sorta push myself toward that direction.
But unfortunately genetics mod gets in the way; I can easily quit stuff, many can’t. I can easily get depressed, many aren’t.
This effect our ability to navigate in life.
Our will almost has no effect here, while in sims, will can overcome all type of roadblocks.
Also, I like that drawing. Really like that tan color
        Your making?
