If you don't focus the camera properly, you'll get those disk shapes in the OP image. >why venus shined like a star
Its atmosphere is very reflective.
>t. never used a camera
jesus christ
You know, you're not helping anyone by being smug and dismissive in the case where someone genuinely doesn't understand something. Sure, you can dunk on bad arguments and the like, like the OP image, but treating a question like that just makes someone think the 'stupid' people are right.
>the planets, which are spherical no matter what, look different from a telescope than they do from satellites >therefore, Earth is flat >also, your telescope is lying, too
>why the frick would a gas giant have a shadow from its moon
because its moon blocks light from reaching a small area on the surface?
this fricking video implies that jupiter has a nonstop solar eclipse
while the moon is on the sun side i suppose it does, whats the issue? not sure how long the moons orbit is but there will be a period when its obviously not between the planet and the sun.
See that? Vapor. It reflects light. It's the same with the gas on Jupiter. Gas reflects light and the moon are blocking it.
Im a flat earther myself but you are hilarious
Yeah. Jupiter is HUGE. I don't think you seem to understand that. We don't get a constant one here because the size difference between the Earth and the Moon is pretty small when you compare it to the size difference between Jupiter and its moons.
Close your curtains, turn on your bedroom light, put something about the size of a hat on the floor, and then hold a coin between your bedroom light and the hat. The coin is the moon, the hat is the Earth. Move the coin around, there are plenty of places you can put it in your room where it won't be creating an eclipse on the hat. In fact, most places you hold it, there will be no eclipse.
Now get rid of the hat and imagine THE ENTIRE FLOOR of your bedroom is a planet. That's Jupiter. Everywhere you move the coin, there's going to be an eclipse.
It makes sense because your floor is HUGE compared to the hat, the coin is small, and most importantly: It's very close to the floor, relative to the size difference between the objects.
Eclipses are only rare on smaller planets, like ours. It is not a universal thing for eclipses to be rare.
I actually find it funny that flerfs never include Jupiter in these "planets fake" Nikon compilations, because you can easily observe Jupiter's rotation and its moons orbiting around it
I got a shit chink 400$ telescope last winter and observed Venus, Mars and the gas giants. Mars appeared as a small circle with some slightly visible detail. Jupiter was very easy to observe. I observed it multiple times so I saw it with and without the red spot. Caught a moon too
Saturn wasn't a blurry mess like in OP's image. It was surprisingly clear. Putting such a blurry bright picture of it seems pretty dishonest
Uranus and Neptune were blue dots with no detail visible
>Planets? Lights in the sky.
Googled "space telescope," clicked "Shopping," there's one for $57 on the first page. If you want to look at shit yourself, do that.

Two, why hasn't any country adversarial to the US, with their own space programs, gathered evidence of this to use against the West in their propaganda war? Surely, even a fabrication that the richest, most influential country in the world is lying about the very shape of the planet would be a propaganda atom bomb---the idea of a round Earth going at least as far back as Ancient Greece notwithstanding.

Light travels in straight lines.
Just how you cannot see the bottom of the building due to angular resolution, the suns light cannot hit the bottom of mountains when it is far away, due to angular resolution.

So what the hell happens to light that casts a shadow on a mountain that isn't Earth's own curvature? You can't just repeat "aNgUlAr ReSoLuTiOn" and think I'm gonna think that makes sense. >Non sequitor
Is it? If the argument is that the entire world is already a global order because one treaty exists, then wouldn't everyone defying that treaty fly in the face of that?

No, im not going to repeat angular resolution. Your agument is in bad faith. I can tell by your logical fallacies.
What happens to the light? You can watch the sun set everyday. Watch it travel on the ground away. Just as a match doesnt light the entire room.

If I light a match in a dark room, and move it away from a standing object (say, a towel roll) along the surface of a flat table, without bringing the match under the table, will the table start casting a shadow on the object?

Why hasn't any country ever broken the Antarctica treaty despite all the adversity between them during this time?
>Lights in the sky
at the very least they would be elaborate models containing objects which appear to be spherical and have other spherical objects going around them. all of the objects also display lighting effects consistent with being lit by something located at the same place as the sun of the heliocentric model.
To just say 'lights in the sky' seems empty and lazy.
Stars are so far away (in the official model) that they are essentially pinpoints of light. Those weird shapes would basically just be pure distortion. Although I don't know what would be causing the colours if that part is not edited, there could be something to that.
>iToddler is a flat earther

More like "ifricktoddlers".
A 14 year old is not a "toddler".

what does this mean?

It shines but it doesn't twinkle.
I think all "planets" and "stars" are only small balls of lights, because God only made them to help us when we travel or need to know the time.
>the planets, which are spherical no matter what, look different from a telescope than they do from satellites

Flat Earthers should be euthanized
No you
Flat earthers are chronic liars
Here is a video of Jupiter that some anon posted in an older thread.. You can see its moon casting a shadow on it
you're mentally moronic if you think that doesnt prove flat earth even harder
why the frick would a gas giant have a shadow from its moon
if i had to pick the best evidence to convince someone that NASA are chronic liars, i would pick this video
>why the frick would a gas giant have a shadow from its moon
because its moon blocks light from reaching a small area on the surface?
while the moon is on the sun side i suppose it does, whats the issue? not sure how long the moons orbit is but there will be a period when its obviously not between the planet and the sun.
>why the frick would a gas giant have a shadow from its moon
What does being a gas giant have to do with its moon casting a shadow?
Or that it's a big-ass planet with a lot of moons, so eclipses are frequent.
See that? Vapor. It reflects light. It's the same with the gas on Jupiter. Gas reflects light and the moon are blocking it.
Im a flat earther myself but you are hilarious

Ah yes, an anti-flat earth thread. Entirely populated by anti-flat earthers. Besides me of course.
You even have anti-flat earthers acting like flat earthers, to create more anti-flat earthers.

You know a planet can be just big enough that the curvature is unnoticeable, sadly you don't have the imagination to even comprehend such a scale.
