I think he's saying that when you're doing the Work, you don't even have to put in active effort to get what you want and need. Things appear at the right time and place. The tide ebbs and flows but it's very different from when you place yourself outside the Work.
That would be my interpretation as well. The alchemist's ultimate goal, the Magnum Opus, the Great Work, is to transcend this realm. Somewhere along the Path, you realize that what we call reality is just a dream, it's YOUR dream, and you eventually Awaken. When you wake up, you are able to control the dream at will, but before, the best you can do is to flow with the tides. So much time and energy is wasted fighting the tides, it's much easier to roll *with* them, to use them to get where you want to go. If you can harmonize with reality rather than fight it, everything just seems to click into place automatically, no effort on your part is required.
But I could talk about this all day, and it wouldn't mean anything. It has to be experienced, on a personal level, as everyone's journey is unique. good luck to any aspiring alchemists out there!

It's one thing to be able to use magic to do things like "I will never miss the train" nobody really knows how far you can take it though. Disbelief is poison to magic. Maybe you can shoot fireball out your butt, the reason you can't is because you "know" that's it's impossible. Quantum mechanics works off similar principles (the light switch only works because you believe it will)
Meditate until you realize what you are, no amount of reading and thinking can make you do it, the only action that leads you to it is inaction.

I feel that what you named is the best for you. Also with a relaxed mind try focusing all your energy into a fingertip, imagine your whole body filled with energy that strongly flows into the tip, this is not so much a practice but something that gives you an experience.
Chakras are your energy centers so naturally work with those, how you do it isn't that important, you can focus on them the same way as with fingertip, feel and sense them grow during body awareness meditation or put your palm over one and feel (imagine) energy flowing in. Chakras are pure fricking magic.

Yes starting to unlock the secrets of the body was amazing and soon turned into positive addiction, later the focus shifted away from body into all that is, until unexpectedly coming back to the body and human experience "human is the hero" kind of way. From that opened a new dimension that didn't exist before, now I'm all and nothing in a way that can't be explained. It's not like the focus only shifts from point to point but also expand and includes more and more.
