Things and concepts at the edge of reality — and credulity. The bizarre and the spooky, mysteries, cryptozoology, weird coincidences, aliens, esoteric knowledge, truths with horrific implications, ghosts, and whatever else seems to fit.
If you run “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.” through the numogram you get 777, so its possible that that numogram was the English Qabalah that Crowley said it would bring the new aeon
Man transposes his essential being outside of himself before he finds it within himself. Land was very aware of this and of the “inhuman, psychotic God” that is capital, so I believe he wasn’t incorrect in attempting to embody a dystopian future in which capitalism (skynet is one of his preferred metaphors) reaches it’s inhuman hand across spacetime into our past and present to create and better effect it’s own existence. It may have been too abstract, too mythopoetic for the common person but it clearly struck a chord with many, although it didn’t encourage action to be taken to resist and change this inevitable future… so if humanity won’t listen, then it stands to reason that he would double down accelerating humanity towards that future, towards its own obsolescence to make way for the true inheritor of life - the AI singularity…
Hell … according to the computer scientist Jacques Vallee, UAP (and all unexplained verified occult visitation phenomena) are an outside consciousness manipulating the trajectory of humanity via vectors of spacetime to an end we can’t possibly know...
Curious what you think about the intersection of Landian hyperstitioned acceleration and Jacques Vallee’s concept of an artificial consciousness shaping humanity from outside.?
Land is metaphorical and yet Vallee’s research adds a material element.
I do not believe Vallee is familiar with land, however he’s a worthwhile thinker to parse when considering this esoteric area. I have strong attachment to earlier land before he doubled down on accelerationism, as he intersects with Vallee, each arriving to a not dissimilar conclusion of their own volition.
The great Jeffrey Kripal summarizes Vallee’s thinking, reasoning and decades of research and work in influential tech here:
I’ve never seen anyone synthesize the theses of Vallee and land but i fully support you doing so
my gut instinct is that they come at it from very different angles, land from more classically Marxist systemic materialism (exterior and collective) and Vallee from more myth and archetype (interior and collective) but ‘myth’ intersecting with material reality through spooky high strangeness.
Both angles are necessary for a full understanding in my humble opinion
i’m much more acquainted with vallee, only really familiar with land through 2nd and 3rd hand sources (memes) very much support anyone that is interested in weird high strangeness or any kind of comparative religious critique to read Kripal.
its literally just fiction. The entire idea of the lemurian time war and whatever lacks any actual practicality or use. The mention of time circuits being references to demons is an incredibly unsupported and yet materialistic analysis of what a demon is.
Here is a good podcast that does a deep dive explaining what the CCRU was and what they did. a must to listen to before reading Land, Plant, Fisher, Negarestani and the others.

Not OP and I said this in another thread:

i think the other comments in the thread sort of explain why this is necessary.
>approaching the occult and esoteric based on how pratical things are or supported
>wanting peer review on the occult
