What experience, never got the impression that monkbro actually made much of any meditative accomplishment. He just went to chill with monks and never really got into cultivation methods that deeply.

the dude's more of a counselor than anything else, only focused on ways to eliminate suffering and going no further, seeking people who are suffering, and offering them some sort of solace.
I would expect monks to cultivate but evidently they didnt teach monkbro much of any cultivation methods outside of just try not to suffer

Bobby was really the reincarnation of the Monk they revered but due to his family and friends fearing losing Bobby, they legitimately caused him to reject his calling this life time.
I get it, on one hand - Bobby took a break this lifetime to live how he wanted but on another hand it shows how enlightenment is oftentimes stunted or roadblocked based on the fears of others.
