I've recently been wondering how we know what day it is. Like how far back can verify - anyone know?
It's a complicated subject, but we're mostly on track because work cycles haven't changed too much.
The stars are the source of our time-concept. The calendar is built on top of that.
The planetary days of the week, however, are astrological, shared between cultures, and can be verified by the higher senses.
