I often wonder, do people really believe in the demiurge? That would mean you actually believe in the god of the Bible (only that he is slightly incompetent and/or not as benevolent as Christians and israelites believe, but still a real being). Would a Gnostic argue for the existence of the god of the Bible against say, an atheist?

I am able to act on a small scale, but God is the one who chose to make the world as it is, including the conditions that led to me becoming a "baby that shits on itself." He is the one whose actions had the greatest consequence, so He surely must hold the greatest responsibility.

The point of this thread was condemning a God that would allow evil.
