The truth is that bad people work together. Bad people in government or terrorist groups/gangs/cults/other evil groups. The problem with this is that it's not one group doing all the evil. It's a huge confederation. That's what I've figured out through so called conspiracy theories. The only label that really fits all of them is Children of Darkness.

Honestly OP? Same. Whenever I see some crazy conspiracy theory and I start really looking into it myself and not just accept other people's words at face value, the truth is always way, way more boring than the fiction. But maybe that's the entire point? Believing in conspiracy theories might be fun for these people and I think, undeniably, it gives them a sense of control and understanding knowing that they've "figured out" this big, complicated crazy world.
How is calling out the governments of the world and big institutions "fun"?
I mean for some people it's practically their only fricking hobby, lol, so obviously they get some sort of enjoyment out of it. If you're trying to pretend that people like Alex Jones, or the less famous YouTube schizo's who post a bunch of different videos every week revealing the TROOF behind every major news events, are some tortured souls who are bearing the cross of waking up the world, I think you're being a bit disingenuous.

What they all have in common is that they're the Sons or Children of Darkness. Those tend to be tied to YHWH and that is why so many incorrectly hate israelites, but they're victims too. Just an example of scapegoating in the conspiracy sphere. We need to stop doing that. Also we need to start being serious about the evil in the world.
Personally, I believe what Alan Moore said. Paraphrasing...people like conspiracy theories because it gives the illusion that someone is in control. And people would rather someone be in control..regardless if it's the Illuminati or israelites or whoever....than to be living in a world full of chaos and random events that no one controls.
