its funny I never get demoralized, this type of threads actually wake up strong empathy in me and it conduces me to think beyond and try to "help" the person, trying to put myself in their shoes and respond in a loving manner

Go to the dentist? How do you know you actually have hearing problems and not a blood pressure/ear wax issue? They have free dentists my guy. They might just end up pulling a bunch of teeth, but it's better than letting them fester. You're on benzos aren't you? Those will cause both of those issues. What meds are you taking? Be honest.

Try oil pulling and pushing your tongue to the top of your mouth while holding your jaw steady. Thing of it like a postural issue causing an overuse injury. While hearing loss can be debilitating, it can also be a blessing because no longer will idle words take perch within your mind without your will.
If it is cavities, I recommend flossing and trying to getting rid of coffee, sugar drinks, and mouth wash from being used. On the subject of hearing, that one can be cleared out with going down to a pharmacy and clearing out potential earwax. Otherwise, if it is hearing damage, I would start early on learning sign language (always a good skill to have).

I found a movement Art that suited me. It gives me a time of solace when I practice it, and having a body that can move well means I am not nearly so bound by the wicked laws of man. It doesn't solve everything, but it helps a lot. Maybe you can look for something similar.
