Does anyone else know how infuriating it is to have your parents force you to go to catholic school for 12 years and go to church at least once a week ONLY for my mother to call me a weirdo when I quoted Jesus to her in an argument? And my dad is the same pretty much and just decides to look past the Bible verses he doesn’t like.

The whole of christianity is built on pre-existing themes found in primitive mythologies. Jesus' teachings have been propped up and popularised because the early church wove old themes into his story.
There also seems to be something weird with how they never appear to help their own members in any way .. they only help illegal migrants it seems. Like the big abuse scandals happen and now they are like largest non government organization to help migrants who probably don’t understand the abuse that occurred.
Unless you are reading news media in Italian, Portuguese, Croatian or other languages I doubt you would find out about it.

The church of rome has gradually become infected with numerous unbiblical notions, such their clearly idolatrous regard for Mary, mandatory celibacy for the priestly class and the sacerdotal system in general.
When they freely apply roles and titles to Mary which are only ever given to the Father Son or Spirit, when they ignore the clear requirements of being married to one woman for being a pastor, you know something is off. If you're just starting out in coming away from Rome you could do worse that to read something from the old reformers such as Luthers Bondage of the WIll, maybe something contemprary from reformed teachers like James Whites The Roman Catholic Controversy, and listen to stuff from ex-romanist priests like Richard Bennet at https://bereanbeacon.org/.

That's what pretty much every denomination does in some form. Think the more doomsday-oriented fractions of Christianity, they conveniently omit the fact that there is a verse in the New Testament where Jesus says that nobody will now the day of Judgement save his Father in Heaven. Similar things could probably be said about pretty much any denomination with some digging through the text.

you'll generally find that they do know that verse very well and refrain from stating a specific day. But they'll get all legalistic about what that means and feel free to name a year or a month even. Only the most wacky little cults will dare state an actual date.
