Yes, but it’s tied into a group soul. That’s why birds can fly in formations and know exactly not to crash into one another. Their soul is individuated but like I said part of the distinct animal group soul it is part of.
i asked tarot once and it seemed to indicate they don't go to the same heaven realm as humans
their souls are more connected to the spirit of the earth
reality is being projected collectively by the humans living in it. as a consequence the earth and all the animals are part of what is being projected and are not real. humans are the only real part of reality.

Predator animals are murders, a spider entraps others in their web, a serpent is a deceiver.
If love dominates in an animal more than survival instinct, than it has a chance of going to doggy heaven, but most animal souls are going to hellish realms.
People who have near-death-experiences see hell realms filled with massive serpents, spiders, and other such animals.
Animals go to animal afterlife realms, many of which are just as severe as the nature documentaries show on this earth.
Love for God and neighbor vs Love for self is the defining factor separating a hell realm from a heaven realm.
yeah, God has pets, people on earth have pets, why wouldn't regular angels in heaven have pets too? seems unfair.
and if heaven is a paradise, where you will reconnect with your loved ones in that paradise, then it only seems reasonable your pets are loved ones too so you'll see them there

My Christian mom said bluntly “animals don’t have souls.” when I was 5 and asked about that and it really would have helped me cope in that moment. Anyway, I’m not Christian but the best Christians can do is “maybe, we don’t know.”

I'm not quite sure anon - although I'm not quite sure if any afterlife exists. I currently have a dog who might not make it to next week and while I have faith that there is something after for her and for all of us I have been fighting to find the strength to accept the mystery. GK Chesterfield said something to the effect of "Accepting the world is a strength, whereas understanding the world is a strain. Many people will try to fit the whole universe into their heads and in turn their heads will split in two." Perhaps the best answer is to accept the mystery and just have faith it will be alright... Also, any claim here is unfalsifiable - the best you can get is you proving it to yourself. The paranormal exists at the fringes of empiricism after all. But if this post was in response to something bad happening to an animal you love, know you aren't alone and itll be alright.

Christ, ngl I really hope bugs don't have a soul. I dealt with Mormon crickets one summer and never have I have I had such hatred and disgust for any being on this earth than with those things. A horrible existence they have.
