Last night I had a dream about the sun turning black in the sky. It had a timer fill in gauge around it and it was about 7/8 of the way full. Everyone around the world was expecting the end in acceptance, watching the sky and the news as the media covered it. All the world "leaders" were MIA. I just stood there in disbelief that it had come so suddenly, I expected at least a year or two more. I then woke up. What do you fellas make of this?

I don't recall temperature making any sort of impression in this dream so I would say regular temperature. The world had a golden/yellowish light imposed on it. It was beautiful, except for the eerie sun and the timer about to fill in. I never did understand what the timer was for, only that everyone assumed it meant the end of the world.

It just so happens that one of the fresco murals painted by Benjamin Long in Bank of America's corporate center located in Charlotte, NC..just so happens to feature a black sun. The Majestic 12 documents do speak of civil deceptions and psychological warfare. It's very possible that a fake alien invasion is in the works.
Weird. That more closely represents the sun I saw. The difference being the sun had a timer around it and time was up. I know there is mythology behind the black sun, I'm trying to research what it is and what it means for us.

Most have subconsciously realized they arent spiritually evolved enough to make it to the other side, many choosing malevolence or nihilism due to this revelation. you put that well. But it's also important that some people and beings are able to divert or express true malevolence and direct it to a better outcome. The emotions, feelings and sensations that are held or kept from you cannot come into your awareness and this is used for some people to keep them circling and bound by a weight they cannot see or identify.
Allowing yourself or other people or even feeding the dog in yourself a dose of malevolence is not demonic or bad either. How well you control that of course, is up to one's own past and their works.
Two conditions can cause this.
Either a singularity just ate your sun.
Or your sun is about to shit the single biggest solar flare.

NTA but esoterically there are three suns, yellow, white, and black (or dark blue, but that's besides the point) that represent material, psychic, and spiritual or masculine, neutered, and feminine respectively. As without, so within just with a different color of light. The black sun represents endings and beginnings, the point where the serpent eats its own tail.

This can happen if the electrical power source of the Sun cuts out or reverses. The Sun comes back after a few days but The Adam And Eve Story (Youtube link below, not the Biblical account) suggests that the continents will slide from their moorings and earth-fire will rise from below killing most people and resetting Man to the Stone Age.
If that were the case it is not surprising you could have atavistic dreams of the event, either as precognition or race-memory.
