It's the realm of the spiritual. . . Where man and spirit mix . . . And if you can learn to lucid dream it opens up a whole new dimension of reality to you consciousness. . .

it's literally you being able to peek into alternate, parallel universes that you're co-existing in right now

No it isn't . . . You can lucid dream and you'll learn that's not remotely true once you see what those 'things' in dreams are

yes it is. this is why you can't ever encounter yourself in a dream because you can only be in one place at one time. lucid dreaming is yellow belt karate-tier tho. wait until you harness the ability to have psychic OBEs and peek in the house of the girl at work you have the hots for. i could literally tell her exactly what she sleeps in at night and what her bedroom looks like but then i'll get arrested most likely as a voyeur creepazoid

Last week a had a dream where I met myself and my family flipped out and murdered me right in front of myself. Then I was considered legally dead and had to go into hiding until I woke up.

I literally wouldn't want to waste my time using lucid dream to perve on some random person . . . Have you even used your dreams to communicate with higher powers yet? The secrets they can tell you if only you can keep focus on your mind when you awaken . . .

If I'm guna do that I'll just hit on them in real life. . . Guess I shouldn't expect much more from EerieWeb lucid dreamers . . .

hi there. If you shouldn't be there in your physical body, what makes you think its a good idea to be there in spirit? Arent you worried about the spirit police coming after you?

          > could literally tell her exactly what she sleeps in at night and what her bedroom looks like
big claim, can you back it up? not even that girl specifically, but just visiting places in the dreamworld just the same as the material world?

Your unconscious mind isn't bound by time or space. It can only use symbols that your conscious mind understands.

Energy is timeless, the mind is aware energy and therefore timeless. You can focus your mind to perceive any point in time and possibility meaning space.

Be careful what you wish for. If you knew the truth about dreams and reality, you'd soonafter wish you didn't.
If you're looking for a point in the right direction, ponder how an unreliable narrator would challenge their audience, imagine if foreshadowing could operate in non-linear time, what does an artistic abstraction capture of its subject? How do children learn through imitation? A man jumps back at a lunging snake, but did not do so consciously, who conducted his behavior? Can observation be a creative act? Has your inexplicable apparition into this dramatic human universe ever been relevant, or do you just roll with the punches? Do you see shapes in clouds, and when they blow away has a being perished? Will you perish? Will a famished snake be sated by the meat of its own tail?
Do yourself a favor and suspend disbelief. Humble yourself and enjoy the show.

Why don't you get to the point and stop larping as some "wise mystic" homosexual with your stupid long winded cryptic post. News flash homo, you don't sound cool, you sound like an insufferable dingleberry gets high off your own farts. Yah fricking goof!

oops i answered in the wrong thread, copying and editing my comment from other dream thread:
that's a good question but i don't think there is a definitive answer. i try to pay attention as much as possible to my dreams and put their message to good use in my real life, but more often then not the message is unactionable. the one thing i'd say is that the "messages" come from a much deeper source than everyday consciousness. if my dreams were just random rehashings of what goes in my mind most days, they'd be much more trivial and grounded, but in as much as they are so, they are like from a 35000 fts above the ground warped perspective that has nothing to do with my daily consciousness. a lot of my daily preoccupations and obsessions are entirely absent from my dreams, while stuff that has seemingly nothing nothing to do with is currently going on pops up every now and then. for example, a thing weird thing is when i dreamed of an ex-girlfriend from 10 years + past, a story which was entirely settled in my mind, i don't miss her, i hardly ever think about her, she even lives in a different country now. why did i dream of her that night, when i hadn't thought about her consciously or even reminisced about her in months? the only answer i can think is i saw a person that reminded of her without really noticing that previous day, but that doesn't really seem like a stisfying answerr to the question.

They have a connection with what you experience in your waking life. There is a continuity there, but your the content is often recontextualised. You may not immediately make the connection from your dream content to waking experiences, but it is there.

this is one of those rare instances where you experienced one of the higher powers that this anon is alluding to, i think

i've crossed the dream threshold while lucid several times. i've seen "the beings", not machine elves bullshit, but one in particular looked like picrel but it had a much cooler-looking face and was made of crystals. they can psychically connect to you like a bluetooth. when i saw it and it saw me, it immediately looked surprised and a bit upset like it was saying to itself, "how did you get here? you're not supposed to see me." and right before i could acknowledge its presence, i woke up, of course
