the only scientific thing it can say is: we don't know and conclusions cannot be drawn. You can make a statistic study in a sound and effective way and thereby some construction show that given these and these circumstances and this group of people, prove beyond reasonable doubt that these people had no external sources aiding them when they prayed.

The problem is that prayer or any immaterial communication does not work linearly. You don't put something in and get something out immediately. There are personal psychological effects, mindset issues and then at the top is the mystical experiences you might get. These mystical experiences are all very personal and hand-crafted experiences that make it nigh impossible to do repeatable studies on these otherworldly phenomena unless you have friends beyond the veil, so to say.

Science can’t even prove how your consciousness works so how could it disprove prayer?

    >how do you know if you're Praying wrong?
You don't feel heard or don't feel a change in atmosphere. Real prayer and really grabbing the attention of a higher spirit will cause a subtle but noticeable effect in your perception or senses.

        >thats scary
        >can it be corrected?
How is it scary? Communicating with the divine is a skill and not every person is at the same level so to say. Some people have very open connections, other people have to work for it.

My question to you would be: why is it scary to you? What is your feeling system really telling you if you meditate and dwell on it? The thing is that just talking doesn't induce necessarily, a change in your brain's state of mind. This is why some people recite psalms meditatively, why people in the east meditate a lot in their own way, why shamans, seers and other sages spent time alone in contemplation and study.
Your consciousness isn't entire free at first, but with effort, focus, prayer and good works you can make it stand out. This process is also very personal. Bible study and reading and thinking can bring you in a particular mindly zone that makes it easier to connect and be heard. But it might also be that you need a cup of tea and some time alone before you sleep to build and cultivate that connection.

Every religion has these kind of "rites" that they do to prime their mind to step a little closer to the most high. You're not reading prayers from a book. You're listening and sitting there waiting for an urge or something you feel dwells in you. And if that happens you just start speaking even if there's no one there. There's the urge to say something, break the silence, and speak your mind. And after you're done talking you know someone heard it and that someone mattered.

I wonder if I am soulless or God can't hear me

            >I wonder if I am soulless or God can't hear me
Soullessness comes from disconnect itself. Disconnections come from various sources, some of them bad reasons some of them good reasons. There's plenty of people up and out there who are complete dipshits compared to anytehing you could do bad here on Earth. If they prayed at some point they'd be heard too.
The problem is just that you have to imagine your mind as a radio signal that's out of tune. You can't broadcast or project yourself as well as you should be able to. Your inner apprehension or reluctance can also play parts in that. Sometimes you can pray but you hear nothing or feel nothing. If you do that a lot it might seep into your unconscious as insecurity or soullessness. It can also be that you carry some grief from the past or youth with you that shuts you off. Or you can have layers of guilt or shame which have to be shed.

In any case, actions speak louder than words to. When you pray try to just see it as a conversation with your conscience and yourself first. Use it as introspection and refining your character and self analysis. Eventually you will refine yourself further, study and enrich yourself, you will accomplish things and touch and affect real people and real spirits in that way. You'll be noticed by your works too. A person looking you in the eye and saying: thanks you helped me with something important weighs way more than a brief brush of a spirit while you say good night to them.

You're right, that makes sense and feels correct.
Thanks for helping me, your posts are great

Take your time to observer how your mind responds to different environments and stimuli. For me for instance I need to have had a good run or physical work done before I can relax my body and mind correctly. There are places where you are in your spiritual power and places were you won't be. It's a learning path about your own inner body and emotional system as well.

Praying (letting archons prey on you) is just way of dismissing the non-dual self and the sucking of the demiurges wiener for merits.

Love, faith and prayer are all tools of the devil and you will know why, when you think about it in truth.

Speaking as a Christian, there are good ways to pray, and there are bad ways to pray, but praying is always a net positive for your soul, even if in that moment you're unknowingly praying for the spiritual equivalent of hep C. I don't know what you are, and I believe prayer should only be directed at the Holy Trinity of Christianity. But regardless, the best thing to start learning to deepen prayer is to read traditional prayers (in Christianity, various Psalms. The Our Father. etc) as well as the spiritual writings of those before you (in Christianity, the Desert Fathers. Even though I'm not Catholics, the saints also had some wonderful insight into prayer)

Regardless, please keep praying to God. Ask him to make you better at praying, and better at discerning what to pray for. He will help you.
