"The Tao of Pooh" by Benjamin Hoff uses characters from A.A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh stories to introduce readers to the principles of Taoism. Through the adventures of Pooh and his friends, the book explores concepts such as simplicity, naturalness, and the interconnectedness of all things. Pooh's carefree and intuitive approach to life exemplifies the Taoist idea of living in harmony with the flow of nature, while contrasting characters like Rabbit and Owl represent the pitfalls of overthinking and complexity. The book encourages readers to embrace simplicity, mindfulness, and acceptance, offering valuable insights into how to lead a more balanced and fulfilling life.

the pooh books are very nice, op. they are gentle yet thought provoking, in an unchallenging way. if you like it another one you might like is "the boy, the mole, the fox and the horse" by Charlie Mackesy. it's a little "live, laugh, love" at times, but it's also very poignant and about learning to accept yourself.

      that's actually a good answer
the sages that came up with daoism were looking to teach the absolute dimmest people
people completely dense and unsuitable for any other spiritual practice
people who could simply take one practice and continue it until they reached perfection
it's perfect for an autistic frogposter

I don't think simplicity should be associated with dimness. sometimes simplicity is not easily achieved and takes wisdom to reduce complexities. the world would be better for it, not dumber.

dim people live simply. nobody's fault but your own that you complicated yourself while living in ignorance.
oh speaking of, shiva has a form called bholenath. translates to lord of innocence but practically meaning happy and appeased by any offering, no matter how small.
also a good path for dimwit frogposters

        >the sages that came up with daoism were looking to teach the absolute dimmest people
        >people completely dense and unsuitable for any other spiritual practice
that's ironic because it is the ultimate form of all religions, when you study them all you realize they are talking about the same thing, just that others overcomplicate it and add nonsensical concepts that only confuse people more. taoism gets to the point right away, when you get it, you get it.

Taoism is part of a bigger Chinese intellectual tradition that begins with the I-Ching.
The I-Ching is the foundation of all Chinese thought, and perfectly suitable for the simple in mind. It teaches that one should act in accordance with the situation, just go with the flow.

Taoism. You won’t get it until you get a bit moronic, then it’ll click

      Fpbp

      What's taoism about

A small book and some assorted stories mostly. It’s the only true religion I know of, in the sense that you can’t attack it on anything.
      You will die.
We don’t know if there is an afterlife.
According to our science the Big Bang happened.
It’s been shit since then. The time before BB is the Tao. It has to be better because it fricking sucks now.
Humans make life harder to live by going against nature and a natural way of living.
They do it for words like justice, godliness, fairness and defense. All are wrong.
The only actions you can control are yours.
Economy of action is acting effortlessly.
The first and especially second law of thermodynamics governs all of our actions.
Thus the sages who have mastered economy of action has mastered life.

I should qualify the word fairness. I mean to use it as the word equity, not as in fairness of treatment.
There are only three principles to the Tao. Mercy, Humility, Economy. All corrupted righteous actions stem from interpretations of the three. All righteous actions stem from actions in the name of the three. A righteous man is no better than a corrupted one, just less harmful. A learned man applies two principles to a single action, and a Taoist applies three.
Thus in war. A brave man is a man who goes forward. He has reasons for doing so. The bravest man is the one who can still give mercy to a foe, because he can take into account their harm and succeed. The warmaster can perform merciful actions at the lowest amount of effort and resource usage. You aren’t blowing the proverbial powder so to speak. The hero performs the the actions of the warmaster but even at his own expense.

This is why nobody remembers brave men when they die, history books remember war masters and the people remember heroes.

You're getting so hung up on this obsession with avoiding "paganism" that you forgot meditating on the Bible has been a part of the Christian tradition for forever.

Part of corrupted satanic "christian" tradition. Meditation is pure demonic evil. One should never empty their mind. We must focus only on the words of Christ and never consider or interpret them. Faith alone.

The Hindu religions are practiced among largely uneducated Indians.
The path of Bhakti involves devotion to a god, any god can be identified with God who is Brahman, Vishnu or Shiva are the most common choices.
The Bhagvad Gita is a good starting point.

"just stop being a simpleton. become smart overnight. here's a book analysing the methods used to prove mathematical concepts. figure it out"

if it was that simple we'd all be 160 iq.
over complexity misses the point and assumes too much. op wants simplicity, anon.

Believe in Jesus, repent (change youre actions by living virtuously instead of being a slave to vice) and you will have eternal life.
I hope that if you read the Bible with an open heart, it will open your eyes to the Truth. Amen.

you put chains on them and then rattle them wishing you were free

Satanism. Be your own God and worship yourself as God. Not a israelite god.

what need has a god to worship itself
if you were a god people would flock to you to worship you, you would need do nothing but what comes naturally
