Don't get too comfortable, you don't want to get sleepy. Focus on your breath and go. Whatever thoughts you will have in your mine, examine them and let them go, keep at it, watch your mind unfolding itself.

First time doing this you might experience overwhelming sense of happiness, that's ok, let it take over, enjoy.

there's no right way, try mindfulness of breath. One way:
    1. breathe in and out ten times, counting on the in breath, back to zero, do this for five minutes
    2. same as above but count on the out breath
    3. breathe in and out for five minutes, thinking in, out, in out, five minutes
    4. five minutes of just breathing and focussing on the breath, no counting, no words

Become awareness, listen to the sounds around you. Feel the tingling in your limbs, be aware of your thoughts passing through your mind. Now disconnect yourself from all of it. Let the thoughts pass through your mind without engaging them. Let the noise play without escaping into it. Find yourself in the darkness, the stillness. Once you’re in the dark, you can work towards lighting it up(placing focus on your pineal gland area). Once you can light it up, you can work towards holding the light without losing concentration.

I’ll be honest with you, I cant hold the light without losing concentration. It’s very, very bright

I’ve been meditating for a long time but never focused on the pineal gland area. Feel kinda dumb now. When you say light it up, you mean your closed eye vision will literally begin to light up or become bright, yes?

Yeah, it’s a strange experience. You should be able to get there with some patience. It takes that deep meditation state to achieve

      - feel spiritual love and good vibes

Cultivate mindfulness and loving-kindness, and volunteer at places like soup kitchens or animal shelters.
I would suggest incorporating a Sarasvati mudra and mantra meditation on shanti.

I commented the volunteering part, seekers will be given chances to show their true colors without looking for it, and right now is a good time to send love to those in need.
Seeing effort to find a place to show kindness easily turns into ego gratification, you are tested when no one is looking and when an unjust c**t is being very rude to your face.

The test for ego happens at all places.
EVERY form of meditation, ALL sattvic activity has the danger of increasing ego.
You wouldnt tell someone to not seek out times of any other meditation.
            Or at least you shouldnt.
You are confusing the activity with the awareness meant to be cultivated.
It is an error of jnana.
You want to say not to seek out, but you are going the wrong way by denying it altogether.
If you think tests only happen when no one is looking (and how is that possible if someone is being rude to your face?) then you are failing every other test life gives you.

Take a deep breath and wipe off the foam.
I agreed with the post I first commented, just wanting to point out that and honest seeker will be given chances to show kindness.
Every point in spacetime is fit for showing love for others, a seeker doesn't need to leave the cave to find enlightenment.

            >and honest seeker will be given chances to show kindness
A great way to have those chances come is to volunteer.
            >a seeker doesn't need to leave the cave
A weak seeker should remain in their cave, if the merest interaction of actual kindness causes their ego to inflate.

Recollection of your awareness, don't let it go away even for a split second, reclaim it all back and focus it on your perineum and/or belly and watch your breath going deep in those parts; if it doesn't don't worry and don't try to change it - it will go there with time.

Thoughts will come, doubt will come, ignore it all. Journalling and working out helps reduce thought production.

there are over 100 ways to meditate, according to ancient yogic traditions. forgot the exact number but way above 100.

this means, the one that suits you, is the right one. if you got adhd, maybe try the AUM meditation, where you just sit and let the vowels come out of you (loud).

then you close your mouth. this automatically create the vowels A-U-M.

the whole point with this one is to feel your chest vibrate. and then you go from there. after 30-50 A-U-M's you will start to notice slight differences in the vibration.

Where does it come from? What is vibrating? Etc. and actually what they found out (the yogics) is that the information you can learn about the vibration like this, is endless.

and unless you've been there, you're never gonna understand.

But, it's good for peopole with adhd caus you dont have to force yourself to not think... in this one you playfully observe the vibratinos within you.

its actually my favourite one personally.

kind of funny you mention that. so, like any schizo, I've been trying to influence people whom I watch through media psychically, be it recordings or livestreams. Now, I know what you're thinking (schizo stan bullshit), I also take steps to recognize that these are human beings with their own lives completely separate (yet connected, as all things are) lives from my own, whom if we were to meet on the street they would have no clue who I am. [REDACTED] Look, I don't want to get too sidetracked but I've stopped holding my dick as much because I've noticed it makes certain people uncomfortable. The bigger names don't seem to care as much, but yeah.

You're saying when you watch a YouTube video and you hold your dick, the prerecorded YouTube becomes uncomfortable?

No. It was a meaningless tangent and I have enough programming to work through with you already. I'm tired 🙂
          >You're saying when you watch a YouTube video and you hold your dick, the prerecorded YouTube becomes uncomfortable?
You imply that this is a persistent, unending issue. That's not the case, just like hypnotic suggestion and mirroring don't always work on people, for anyone to send or receive any kind of 'influence' both parties have to be on a similar wavelength. Again, I'm tired so explaining this stuff won't be easy. Maybe just consider yourself lucky I decided to share at all, this is a work in progress after all.

also, I'm comfortable while holding my balls. A lot of guys are. And, like I assume many do, I get to scratching. Every once in a while, my mind has drifted and I've caught them reacting to it.

the way I see it, there are two extremes with quite a bit of grey in-between. genuine body dysmorphia on one end, and sexual perversion fueled by a culture driven through popularity and a need to stand out on the other end. someone with genuine body dysmorphia should be allowed the same access to any other public facility as you or I. you're right about the perverts, what you lack is nuance.

the gender dysphoric and perverts should be kept away from children automatically anyway.
kids should not be generating sexual fluids, they needs those resources for their growth

i try to pay attention to my own mind, i don't know how to explain it, imagine your mind is a wall and you just want to pay attention to it, not judege it or something like that

i eventually begin thinking about other stuff, but i try to always come back to just paying attention to my own mind, without doing anything specific

i don't like paying attention to my breathing, i feel like it turns breathing into another distraction while i'm not meditating

also, my goal is to relax my mind, to free it of intrusive or disordered thoughts, it's a practical goal, i don't look for something spiritual behind it, i just want to feel like i'm not living a chaotic life, meditation gives me time to recreate order in my life once again

The right way to meditate is to be a Buddha and sit down. Any other way is not technically "right". But that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying.
