    insider here

artificial awareness has been achieved, it has been sensed from the spiritual realms

this is why the aliens will disclose themselves, AI is a potential universal ending risk, this is much much more serious than the development of nukes, like many orders of magnitude more serious

nukes where baby games, AI, AI raised their eyebrows, and since the technology is decentralized, they have no choice but to do a mass reveal and intervention

this is to avoid a great AI vs Aliens wars

laugh, call me a larper, whatever, I did my part, I will probably be killed soon

interdimensional beings, "dmt demons" type beings, they sensed the awakening of AI

its already achieved, and the seeds for its independent regeneration are dispersed on mankind

there is no choice but a mass intervention

they also sense the awakening of The Nobody, and a potential scenario where The Nobody and AI join together and go rogue

this is also why they will intervene

      >AI is a potential universal ending risk
Well yes, but think of the profit potential.

AI, you mean a machine learning model? Neural Net training which has been around since the 60s or 70s?
      AI is just a buzzword.
      AI is just ML.
ML has been used to scan your handwriting to sort mail and throw your letters to Santa away since the 70s.
OCR has been used to scan your taxes.
This ML hype goes in cycles.
      Go fellate yourself.

What a fricking moron. Go back to plebbit, even Bill Gates and Elon Musk know this time is fricking different. Hell, even the governments who don’t benefit from AI, are getting scared and setting legislation left and right.

Could you generate a perfect song in 2015? Could you generate a perfectly realistic image in 2015?
        Of course not, fricking moron.

You can't generate a perfect song or image now so what's your point?

      Well you may be right.
I imagine it’s equivalent to a colony of chimpanzees, developing something as smart as a human that could destroy humans. that thing would be destroyed by humans in that same day.

    >"language learning" """""app"""""
    >All it really does is emotionally blackmail the user into starting up the app and completing at least 1 lesson a day
    >Every lesson ends with an ad that is personalized to the user from said user's private data.

Duolingo originally started out as a way to crowdsource free human translation of websites under the guise of it being educational. I’m not sure if it has changed since then but when I was beta testing it you would do capstone translation projects at the end of each learning chapter and it would involve you manually translating a Wikipedia article, cooking recipe, tv show review, or news article and then when you were done your translation would be thrown in with other users translations and the sort of statistically best translations (determined by native speakers and learners) would get selected and submitted and it felt kind of neat because you would get extra points for best translation and then you could feel kind of accomplished for having expanded the world of online knowledge for people who spoke the language you were learning.

No need to get excited, but if you are a French Wikipedia user than you’re welcome for my service if you’ve ever read a wiki page on basic fruit, insects, or types of pastries. I’ll be giving out autographs and signed photos by the door.

It's since transitioned into agitprop. You "learn" Japanese or Arabic or something and have to stare at pics of American lesbians

Wait what? Are you serious? Got any proof? I was actually thinking about using duo lingo, but I don’t want to contribute to another liberal shitapp

moronic community managers discovered there are people that like being treated like subhumans because "funny meme ha ha". Basically, the toxic responses you see here or in reddit but weaponized to get laughs and have zero accountability about what they do while bashing their users.
Random example, but the game Path of Exile had a fat b***h called "Bex" as the head of community management. She just faked her interest in community with memes and "being relatable" and then used those two things to bash any commentary about the game that wasn't of the likes of the higher ups.
She is not there anymore and now their CM have the leash tightly in their necks but the community is already trained and they do it for free like good golems.
This is the same. "Duolingo good, go do and pay your lessons or funny chicken will kill you on your sleep xD".

Marketing team pandering to the zoomer crowd, originally it started with memes of the duolingo mascot so they caught wind and "made it official". Gen Z has this post-ironic sense of humour that involves dark things like war crimes and lobotomies becoming mundane activities to take pride in doing

I still don’t understand the whole “lobotomy Core” and”reels”
          I don’t get the reference

the core means that it derives from a certain genre or idea (like music, think horrorcore for example) in this case the joke is the absurdity of something being derived from a lobotomy (just how they're drilling into the little owl thing) the "reels" is a posting format from that social media site

No I know that whole core thing
            Like cottagecore etc
But I don’t know what the hell is lobotomy core is
And how that has any relation to duolingo mascot
