Ketamine ceases brain activity, but a conscious experience happens during that time. If consciousness was produced by the brain then a k-hole wouldn't be possible.

    NDEs mainly.
The brain limits consciousness. Slowing down your brain with meditation makes your consciousness more active. With psychedelics it's suppressing my whole body in order to get into the visual head space. If I remember my body again it breaks the trance.

Synchronicity. Newtonian physics only accounts for dimensional reduction, talks to Rupert Sheldrake and Peter Duesberg to understand intuition and creativity. Only my unpublished theories explain why my subconscious has shaped half the heavy metal scene's lyrics. homosexual science fairies think truth comes in a Beethoven or Chopin box, not the reality where it screams at you with a Glasgow grin.

Out of body and near death experiences together with channeling prove otherwise, of course you neatly ignore those.
Sadly for sleepers, those in the know can't offer repeatable proof because it breaks the free will. You desire to be a materialist and that should be respected, gods, aliens, humans none of these can repeatedly prove to you otherwise. Proceed to perish like a dog.

The scientific method only works if you believe it works. All modes of reasoning require axioms, which are founded upon improvable assumptions.

Reality is founded upon delusions brotha

      2 things.

      1) Absolutely 100% of what we know about "brains" was learned FROM consciousness, without even 1 single exception (and I challenge you to name 1 if you think you can).
So then to claim we know of "brains" and that they create consciousness is just as absurd as claiming your friend told you the truth because he said he did. It's circular reasoning.

      2) Basically what other anons have said about psychedelic drugs enhancing experience yet lowering brain activity at the same time. This is sometimes called the "black swan" argument.

Not that anon, but on the contrary it's you who is ignoring simple fact. Because the model disproves ITSELF.

If we assume that we are brains, then we are saying we can know nothing about the external world aside from the inputs into your "brain", and that every single thing you see in front of you right now is a re-creation inside your brain...
In other words, your own theory implies you've never seen the real world. Your own theory implies that 100% of our observations about brains were re-creations inside brains.
So you're trusting a brain to tell you that it's a brain.

If you cannot acknowledge that there's a problem here then your rationality is questionable.
This is exactly the reason no scientific experiment exists which can distinguish between "reality" and a "simulation". Because you're building on top of the patterns of consciousness you perceive while simultaneously being in denial that that's what you're doing (not just you, but even scientists are making this irrational error because like it or not science has a dogma against questioning materialism).

Its less that theres evidence that it does not and more that its absurd that it does. Emergent properties all fundamentally work the same way as its base parts. For example the emergent property of magnetism attracts/repels which functions fundamentally the same as the previous properties of the strong/weak nuclear which also attracts/repels things

Consciousness is something fundamentally different from attraction/repulsion, it cant be described by the movement of things as previous emergences have. It would be like the brain creating a whole different reality where the previous rules of physical matter can no longer begin to provide a description. It makes far more sense that consciousness is a different layer of the universe that was always present and the brain somehow utilizes it

“Always that same LSD story, you've all seen it. 'Young man on acid, thought he could fly, jumped out of a building. What a tragedy.' What a dick! Frick him, he’s an idiot. If he thought he could fly, why didn’t he take off on the ground first? Check it out. You don’t see ducks lined up to catch elevators to fly south—they fly from the ground, ya moron, quit ruining it for everybody. He’s a moron, he’s dead—good, we lost a moron, frickin’ celebrate. Wow, I just felt the world get lighter. We lost a moron! I don’t mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am, so that’s the way it comes out. Professional help is being sought. How about a positive LSD story? Wouldn't that be news-worthy, just the once? To base your decision on information rather than scare tactics and superstition and lies? I think it would be news-worthy. 'Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we're the imagination of ourselves' . . . 'Here's Tom with the weather.”

You have nerve cells in your entire body, not just your brain. The brain does not produce consciousness alone.

If you want any ultimate proof stare at any wall up lose for 2-12 hours on any day you are prepared for it (No food or drink is a rather smart choice). Do that a few times and experiment only with your eyes. Body should be just seated, no special preperation needed. You should after some time notice automatisms which you should ignore (Thoughts, body pain, itching). Do that until you can ignore that. Half closed or fully opened eyes don't matter. Try to let the focus of the eyes adjust itself. On further note don't botcher it by following anything which feels too much out of place or seems the stray from the feeling of doing that right. Really simple when you think about it. Effects could highly depend on the person. If anything happens that is [REDACTED] call your local [REDACTED] and inform them about it. Help at any given day is available.
