I have never worshipped but lately I've felt a good vibe about Hekate. I am considering worshipping her. Anyone got experience with her? What is she like?

      Anonymous

I've only worked with her for a little bit (a week or so) - and I'm sure she puts on different masks / roles for different people - but for me, think of her as a prudish dark gothy teenage girl who has a quirky sometimes morbid sense of humor but who tries way too hard.

        Quints of arcane knowledge: checked.
I get a different vibe from her but she IS a multifaceted goddess, so that's probably also a part of her

You don't know until you actually start working with them, if you actually reach out to them and aren't mentally jerking off.

I know for a fact that I made contact with Hecate because I asked her about this appearance, which was also shocking to me - I did not expect a youthful gothy quirky teenager presence - but she showed me that she was a virgin goddess in the Greek myths.

            Anonymous

Appearances are just symbolic, means to an end, so it doesn't matter overly much. You may have seen the maiden? Idk.
I've been following a banishing ritual that entails calling upon her. I don't really have any lofty goals, big conceit or lust of any kind in mind (for results or of the carnal kind).

While I'm still too weak and unfocused to see a manifestation, I do like her energy. She responds when I call on her with all my heart, like a gentle caress on the head. Cold, but in a crisp, pleasant way, like a spring afternoon.

            >Anyone got experience with her?
Devotion to her resulted in spending a LOT of time in old graveyards. After about a month or so she suggested I redirect my focus to White Tara.

Graveyards here are not accessible at night. They are heavily walled, gated, and guarded.

Man you can't just expect people to dive whole-hog into worshipping a very spooky deity that requires all sorts of witchcraft type ingredients and spells and blood. Especially in a world that discourages it heavily and shrugs off any evidence as schizo. I'm doing the 9 night ritual this new moon but even I am super sketchy about it.

Do what I did: give simple offerings, make a clean tidy altar, burn incense, and speak to her out loud. Thank them both for their gifts. Maybe someday, like she did to me, Athena will make herself known.

it cant be named. and there is nothing except it. making everything else an illusion. and its not even a person. its not a thing nor is it not not.
    thus it cant be named.

it is the source of your mind or consciousness.
the moon's light reflected on the innumerable water surfaces is an analogy for it, albeit a bad one. because it implies the existence of a moon and distinct and apart from it, multiple water surfaces. this is not so.
is it a dream? perhaps a beginningless one.

Aphrodite, mostly. Love is a transcendent concept, and without love, no things could exist. A nation cannot exist without the love of its countrymen, a family cannot exist without the love of two people, and ideas cannot propagate without the love of thought, and the movements that spawn from that passion. Love can be cruel, and it can be tricky, but it is thoroughly necessary. Even hatred is just the love of something but spurned.

I feel strong alignment to Zagreus Dionysos. it's the prototypical resurrection myth that's closely reproduced in christianity as well. even the symbolism with the vines is directly borrowed by early christians. it feels like a more natural veneration for me because or despite my christian upbringing, I'm not quite sure
