    >We are God.
You just lack the whole omnipotent, omniscience, and omnipresence part
    >The universe IS God.
If your God is just matter in time and space why bother calling it God? That's just cope.

Infinite matter in infinite time and space working as a giant brain that we contribute to is certainly far enough beyond us and a part of us to call God. However, most people don't like thinking of God as limited and consider this to only be a part of God.

a giant brain in space would still be matter stuck following the laws of physics

If everything that could ever happen is happening all at once and we are saying the conglomerate of that is GOD, how could it not meet those three requirements? From what I understand, those were added in later- and in any case, is still accurately represented by this idea.

You aren't thinking about it enough. You are going, "I can't bang seven women right now, so obviously I am not God." instead of going "I am literally everything that has ever happened or could happen happening all at once, so somewhere, a version of me is fricking seven b***hes at once.".

You are a grain of rice in a pile of rice.

How sad, a grain of rice thinking it is the entire bag. It may come from the same plant but it is neither the source nor all it produces.

You're right. But you break down every part that you mentioned into the VERY SMALLEST PART and, oh shit, once again, it's all the same thing, rearranged and rearranged again. But it's all the same thing.

I'm not saying there isn't the illusion of division. I'm saying that the division is an illusion.

Let me help you out. A grain of rice can become a new plant and source of rice. It is a microcosm of the greater whole, but still it is more a piece of a fractal than the whole picture. It will never produce the same rice that was born alongside it. That is the source of separation, an evolving identity of relationships. Why do you believe this is an illusion?

            Anonymous

Not an illusion as in "it's not real", more like an illusion caused by wearing a mask. You've got the other stuff right. Why are you suggesting you disagree?

Seeing that we are a part of a greater fractal does not dismiss the notion of uniqueness within.

            >Why are you suggesting you disagree?
I'm sorry if it seems like I'm being obtuse. I try to not attach myself to illusions like the existence of a mask that prevent us from seeing our place in the universe.

We are all unique and individual minds and consciousnesses. People don't understand how that's possible though. And neither do I, but it's clearly the truth. How else are we all having a conversation on EerieWeb?

You're right, it doesn't seem possible does it? Almost like a paradox, where true and false are no longer relevant due to some framing error or inherent ignorance.

We don't know the laws of physics. In quantum mechanics we see the future influence the past, but still most of it looks random to us. We also don't know that the universe is finite. I personally think that spacetime is finite, but declaring it so doesn't make it so.

The universe is cyclical, so it is effectively infinite.

A circle may be constructed with an infinite number of theoretical points, but it's still a finite structure with very specific limitations. You may be able to follow its perimeter without end but when you reach the start there is nothing new to find making it effectively finite. Is the earth infinite because we can fly around its circumference forever?

I said effectively, didn't I? I believe the universe just reboots when it dies. Forever and ever. Like a computer. Like a simulation. Oh wait, aren't we in a simulation?

I made this up by the way. We are God. God exists as many. WE created the Cosmos. God is WE by its very nature. And we ARE God. Also, if you argue that you are "OF" something, you're literally just arguing that you are that something. Like, if you say we're a part of God. what do you mean? That we're his balls or something? The Balls OF God. Catchy name.

It actually makes a huge difference because, like it or not, your individual actions have an affect on the whole and the whole is asking you to stop hitting yourself holy shit.

Like you are tethered here to this Earth. You keep coming back to this place daily. You think that doesn't matter? You're experiencing it. It matters. Especially when you know other parts of yourself are suffering. So, maybe work towards fixing that?
