Time

Is there any paranormal magic involving time? things like, slowing, rewiding, etc? Surely there is at least some stuff about such a fundamental aspect of reality.

You ever really just emptied your mind and tried to focus on 'nothing' ? When i do that, time seems to move way slower. When you have a fever, your perception of time actually gets slower. You process things slower, including time itself. This can be proven by playing a video game while having a fever, it will literally feel like you're playing on slow-motion

You can do this dissos as well. It's like your fps goes way up. I've seen the clock grind do a halt on ket, and I've fallen off a chair on nitrous and I had a long and complex chain of thoughts while falling, forgetting what I was doing, then remembered that i was in mid air before hitting the floor

Yes it is possible to alter your perception of time such as fast forwarding and slowing down. Do to how the universe works you cannot go back in time however relativistic time travel does exist. You can only go forwards using the distortion of gravitational space time.

      >Experiences of time differ fundamentally depending on our activities, inner states, and the information we perceive and process.

One of the keys to "magic" is realizing time is an illusion.

      >time is an illusion
It's a dimensional observation. We were there but now where here, how can we measure the speed at which you came from there to here? Distance divided by time. It's a ruler of measurement that can be perceived differently but remains real. You can be going 10mph or 500mph, each observer sees the world differently.

Anyone else felt like time has always crawled for them? People say that life begins to speed up when you get older but I'm nearly 30 and life hasn't picked up speed, if anything it's gotten even slower. I feel like I'm a thousand years old, I don't mean past lives, but that I've lived a thousand years in 30. Why is it like this?

Activity and experience, the reduction of routine, your genetic make up. The truth is it's still and active field of study. I'm in a similar boat. Others say I do things extremely fast, even then I still spend most of my time relaxing at work and doing nothing with about 30 minutes of work correlating to an entire day of productivity for others.

There is something magical about this, along with overlapping phenomenon like the pump, being in the zone, ecstatic dancing, zen, oceanic feelings, and more. It could be a change in consciousness and/or the body releasing natural drugs.

    Here's how to time travel:
Considering space, imagine you want to go from place A to place B. Even if these two points are close together, you'll be unable to move absolutely to place B, as other parts of space are moving (earth, galaxy, etc), so by the time you reach what you thought was place B, the absolute location of place B has shifted. The way to get around this problem is by defining a scope of space that is relevant, which in this situation is the simplest system encompassing both A and B. Now knowing how this artificial system works, you can freely move between A and B.
Everything I just described about space should be analogous to time. To travel through time, you'll need to define a certain region of time and attach it to some type of system, like the time it takes an hourglass to end. You'll ignore anything that happens outside this range. Once you're inside the closed system, you have to explore the system to find a way to repeat it from the inside. In the hourglass scenario, we can easily time travel because, although we are limited to the timespan between the beginning and end of the hourglass cycle, we are not as limited in space, and can turn the hourglass to make it flow backwards. We haven't time travelled in absolute time, just as we can't control our movement in absolute space, but we have controlled the flow of time within a localized field.

Nice theory but what about practically doing it?

Nice theory but what about practically doing it?

This might seem stupid at first, but I've set all this up because it shows what you have to do to time travel:
      1. Identify the relevant time span (ie the time you are coming from to the time you are coming to)
      2. Identify the shortest cycle (of something inevitable and frequent, like the phases of the moon) that encompasses the time span
      3. Ignore anything that happens outside of that cycle. Nothing that is real outside the cycle currently exists
      4. Now you have to start moving, which is the hard part. The easiest thing is to go forward in time (analogous to falling in space), but we can trick the mind into going back by overlaying events
      5. By performing the same action, in the same mindset, both at the beginning and at the end of the loop, the mind will be forced to consider the events following the end of the cycle to be the beginning of the cycle, as the events that happen after the cycle are being ignored.
You can increase the chances of this working by having the action at the beginning be done in its usual place, while the action at the end is done in an unusual place. The mind, which associates the action with the location at the beginning, will resume the flow of time from the beginning of the cycle, as it makes more sense.
I've only managed to get this to work two times, both starting off from going back to sleep in bed to the sound of an automatic bell, where I slept for about half an hour more before going to work, and at the end of the cycle (a bell going off in my workplace) going back to sleep at work, which I never do. This had the effect of me waking up back in bed around 4-5 hours in the past twice, performing my whole morning routine identically twice over.
Theoretically you can use this for slowing down, speeding up, freezing and skipping forward in time as well, but I've only been able to loop back so far.

Or a change in your aura / energy field while in certain states, where the mental and physical are both active and harmonious

Depends on your intention. If you pay enough attention, you might see something happen. Just imagine the scene clearly, your first impression is probably the best...

I can offer you my own perspective... in my experience, time is subjective. an hour is an hour for everyone but the passing of time is what's subjective. that's why I can sit for meditation and have an adventure where I fly over the mountains as a crow. when I open my eyes and rouse from my meditation, four hours have passed. sometimes my hallucinations feel like they last seconds, but hours pass. I don't believe in physical time travel

time is an abstraction of the movement of matter in relationship to distance and speed
    it's not real friend
*but with true magic you can alter the very nature of reality and make your will manifest

OP, consider studying CCRU, namely the numogram / lemurs, what they are and how they work, if you want insight in the mechanisms of time, how to work with it, etc, that is my suggestion to you from experience.

I used chaos magic to turn it back an hour once.
Took zero planning and I wasn't actually trying to do that but it made it so I wasn't late for work. The thing is it translates as a "oops lol mistake" in the brain so lots of times if you're not perceptive enough it'll just seem like "oh I guess I was just mistaken about the original time"

Yeah, you can’t really control time, it’s more so your perception of time. You can increase your adrenal flow and from your perspective slow down time and move slightly faster than those around you. You can also do the opposite via meditation to put yourself in a hibernation state.

That’s all I know, as far as ritual magic or invoking things I don’t know. These methods require meditation, fasting, training, breathing exercises etc.

I think time is actually just a mental construct and that it doesn't really exist outside of human imagination.
I think it's been one of the biggest scams of the 19th century. Before time the farmer rose in the morning, tended to his crops during the day and then reposed in the evening and slept at night.
Now he rises at 6am, of which moves forward and back during the year, works until 5 and goes to sleep at 10.
Despite the fluctuations on time and how to make up for it, it suddenly jumps and hour ahead or falls behind.

Time measures something sure, but it seeks to measure something that is not constant, even our years are off, even our hours, our minutes and our seconds. The sun rises and falls regardless of what a watch might say, moving east or west will change your watch but will not change the fact that the sun will rise and it will set.

      Anonymous

Your example of the farmer is still a series of events in time.
      What is your point?

        Anonymous

        A farmer experiences the seasons
the phases of the sun and moon
the fall of rain or the parched drought

He does not feel experience the seconds, or the hours. He works until the sun falls low, doing what he can or if he finishes before, he can stop working.
The modern man works not until the work is done but until his timepiece tells him he is done, even if the work remains unfinished.

There is a difference in experience what time seeks to describe and experiencing that which is regardless of time.

          >he works until the sun falls low
Passage of time. He also has to plant crops at certain times. He works to times.

events are not time, you plant after the last frost, which can vary several months at a time, you harvest at the first of the cold winds, which again varies.
Many things in the world do not have set times and trying to order it with time is a futile endeavor that at best will delay you and at worst can destroy you.
Imagine planting all your seeds because it's April and your calendar tells you it's spring but in reality winter frost still chills the ground, killing your seedlings. Or imagine letting your crop lay fallow and rot because you always harvest in october.
A plant may grow and bloom and be ready in a short manner under the right conditions of rain and nutrients, or may take longer.

These are not governed by time, time merely describes how long each event happens, or how long it's been since the last event. Alas, it tells you nothing of note.
