I haven't been to /x/ in many moons because the last time I was here it was over run with retarted children.
    Has that changed?
I thought the eclipse would draw in the good posters.
Was I right, hows it been here lately?

no. board is overrun with LARP generals, very few interesting threads anymore if you're like me and enjoy posts about actual unexplained paranormal shit and not "hur dur i summoned a succubus last night but it turned out to be a different demon, how do i reverse"

I read that eclipses change the weather. During an eclipse, it gets icy and cold, and that ends up dissipating the cloud coverage. So, how is it that some places are being told that their viewing might be obscured by clouds, when eclipses dissipate clouds in an area, due to making it cold all the sudden?

        >I read that eclipses change the weather. During an eclipse, it gets icy and cold

well for one, if it got suddenly colder, the water vapor in the sky would condense and you'd get more clouds not less. but that aside, it doesn't really get colder, only a small part of the sun-side earth is in shadow during the eclipse, the heat absorbed by the ground is more than enough to eliminate any temperature change from a few minutes of shadow. if the entire sun was blocked out for the whole earth for days then we'd definitely get cold, but a small part of the earth that constantly moves is not going to measurably change the weather

Yeah, no shit. Why do people think this works for roof in the atmosphere, but wouldnt happen when it's the Moon?

I don't have any sped glasses, so I won't be able to look at it, but I'll still go outside and bathe in the energy. Here we see symbolized the light and warmth of God cast out, rendering us vulnerable in the fear and darkness,, but we're delivered from that evil and back into the light of God soon after. It's a reset, and goes to show that disconnect from God is only ever temporary. I'm reflecting on this time and choosing to renew myself and my spirit using the power of the God-Consciousness invested by the millions of people watching the eclipse today. Pretty nifty. I think things are gonna get a lot better for me. I'm not too worried about the rest of the world. Also, an eclipse symbolizes the feminine Moon overtaking the masculine Sun, so be mindful of the women around you for the time being. I'm not sure how powerful this will make their auras, at least over that of the men around them.
People are getting all doom and gloom and paranoid about this, but I think it's beautiful. Rejoice in the beauty of God's cosmos while you can, it'll only come back to America 20 years from now.

      what are the exact coordinates?

The overlap of the paths of totality of the two eclipses lies in three states: Illinois, Missouri, and Kentucky with the dead center of the intersection being in Southern Illinois. Can't help you with the latlong coordinates though.

Anyone know how the frick people saw the eclipse wayyy back before eclipse glasses? Everything I fricking google is saying that they just saw it as a bad omen, not if they physically saw it or not. Just looked and its like 40% covered but you cant tell without glasses, literraly cant see anything without the glasses

Thank you for saying this. This is exactly what I was thinking when I watched it. Without the glasses, you can't even see the object in front of the brightness of the sun.

Anything that creates a pinhole light source will show the effect of a partial eclipse.

    Texas anon here.
It was overcast and you could actually look at it without glasses.
    It was kind of cool.
Definitely reinforces divine symmetry and sacred geometry.
Sorry humans, you can only create based off the creator and will never be able to create what the creator has created.

Lilith would strike you down after devouring your children right in front of you and sneer about it. Praying to Lilith? Ffs. That's like getting 20 lashes and saying "Thanks, may I have another beating, m'lord?"

When its in partiality you do but when totality strikes you are supposed to take them off and it's safe to view during the duration of it.

Partiality being like,,, before the suns fully covered by the space ship or like during?

          Anonymous

Partiality is when the moon is only covering a portion of the sun. The eclipse is in totality when the moon is 100% covering the sun and you can see the corona around the moon.

Hey, there were two other objects during the eclipse. One touching the sun and one off to the bottom a little distance away. Anyone know what they were? The one touching the sun was like a red dot. I thought the other one might of been a star. Maybe. They both looked stationary.

See the odd object circled? The red dot on the sun didn't photograph well enough to show up, I guess.
            What is that?

I did have some light clouds giving it a bit of a foggy glow, but those little red flares came through well enough. I wonder if there's a name for them.

Very cool. I'm glad I got to see this. It was quite literally, awesome. I only wish it lasted longer.

i had no idea this was a thing. i had a dream last night about an eclipse happening. waking up and seeing this is really strange to me. not like i had any idea about it. dont even live in america. in my dream it wasnt clear if the sun would come back so there was a lot of scared feelings and darkness. people had to wait to see if it would come back this time. maybe getting an mri has finally awakened my psychic powers or some shit.
