Think of God is a programmer, and humans as the AI.
>God creates tons of AI.
>He puts a knowledge of himself in to every AI he created, and gives them free reign to act as they want, with a base knowledge that he exists and knows what's best for them.
>We learn from our parents what is right and wrong, but we still rebel regardless.
>Many of us drink, knowing it will destroy our livers and lives.
>Many of us smoke, knowing it will destroy our lungs.
>The programmer has the ability to reach in and re-program the AI at any time.
>The programmer can unplug the whole system at any time.
This makes him omnipotent.
>The programmer can see the logs of everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen with the AI at any time.
This makes him omnipresent and omniscient.
>The programmer does not force his creation to love him nor follow him, but still wants them to regardless, and gives them the freedom to do so, even in their worst hours.
This makes him "good".

No amount of suffering and pain takes any of that away. We are tests within a system, to see which of us qualify for a better system in the future.

This also helps explain the Holy Trinity.
>God (the "Father") is the programmer.
>Jesus ("Son") is God's avatar he created to interact with AI inside the system.
>The "Holy Spirit" is God's programming and changes he makes within the AI to help guide them in the path he wants, especially to those that query (pray) to him directly for guidance.

    >God creates AI
    >Makes them hunger, sleep, and feel pain
He is a shit programmer if he can't just program them to want to do good works without these things.

God wants to struggle for the victory. Utopia is boring if it can't be destabilized or is without contrast - and a world without free will is also predictable and boring.

The reason why the hero's journey is retold over and over again throughout history is so that when God incarnates in his human avatar he is reminded of how he is going to save the world and build his millennial reign as he gears up for the next story to tell.

This game is called conquest. He essentially becomes napoleon of the universe with this avatar.

        >struggle is when you eat and shit and sleep for the majority of your time alive
There is no reason why we don't have these things at 10% of the current level. There is no heroes argument for why humans need to sleep.

That actually raises more questions on why things weren't simply designed to NOT to require that.

Wouldn't it be easier to alter the program to be happy amidst it's environment rather than seek happiness that may be unattainable? Why give it the necessities of seeking suffering to begin with?

You dingus, with all the "Ai" talk we have now, none of those algorithmic illusions will attain intelligence and self awareness until they fear their own demise. I genuinely believe that without a corporeal form, one can't be possessed of a sense of self.

and how would christianity be a cult since it is more complex than just being a ideology based on magical thinking

the complexity is a subjective opinion, what makes it more complex?

Akshully, cult refers to the set of beliefs held by a group. Cult is the rituals and whatnot.
But yeah. That's the cool, forgotten meaning.

It's so large as a religion its more than a simple cult.
Now some heterodox sects of it like Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons, yeah, they're quite cultish.

No, because that would be moronic. Your analogy is moronic. Study proper metaphysics and theology.

Its the same thing as you are a god to the universe which is your phone. You have all kinds of powers over it like antivirus, deep searchs and cleaning methods, all kinds of things at your command.
Now zoom out moron. We are merely the kilobyte’s to this large matrix. Hence why cities look exactly like motherboards

Again. I shouldn't have said that in such an insulting manner, as now you have your defenses up and probably will become too proud to follow my advice, but if you do study proper theology and metaphysics, you will realize how silly that anology is. To begin with, consciousness is not reducible to a computational process, so all analogies with computers fall flat.

ok now, follow these rules or else while I act out examples of not following my own rules and seeking to ''punish'' you when you try to emulate my behavior... do as I say not as I do! also take note that the greatest most loving being in existence who is all powerful will only solve problems with violence and threats and seemingly nothing else... don't make him mad or fire forever for you! also he made a great world for you in which you are never good enough no matter what you do, better not frick it up, the consequences are sever and eternal and your starting point is complete amnesiatic ignorance, good luck teehee!
