it's /loa/, what they are doing is law of assumption. the variable success rate happens because some of them simply happened to do it the correct way without knowing it.

it's a distraction, the only motivation of the tik tok app is to spread mental illness. since this is very close to /loa/ i am assuming either they are spreading a corrupted version of it or they simply are unaware of it and a bunch of teenagers simply happened upon it by accident.

Having looked into it, it's literally only lucid dreaming. Go to the subreddits or something and read for yourself. It's lucid dreaming with Law of Attraction/Assumption techniques tacked on to help with said lucid dreaming (and nothing else).

You know, this is the shit kids have done since the dawn of time. Every kid likes to dream up a story for themselves that makes them the main character, kids in the past probably said they were they were really the son of Thor or Zeus, hell, I remember being 6 and telling my friends that I was really a saiyan like Goku and they believed it. The thing about this now though is we have mass media so those kids can find others willing to entertain their delusions and they can retreat to these enclaves when reality disagrees with them so they end up being 20 year Olds who still claim they're meant to go to Hogwarts.

I hate when people hate things just because of other people who use it.
If you literally give things away to people you dislike, and give away the meaning of terms to those people, then I wonder what else your soul might be giving away to darkness without realizing it.

It's at least a minor improvement over blind faith religions. At least they believe they aren't totally helpless to someone else's whims and have the ability to improve their own reality.

I heard about this shit, zoomers lucid dreaming being in another world (usually a media franchise like Pokémon/Harry Potter/etc. or some AU version of it) and thinking they're actually astral projecting to a real version of that world by doing so.
It goes deeper... there's drama in the community, idk if it's still the case but you could find callout posts about how "[user] LITERALY WENT TO A HARRY POTTER WORLD AND KILLED HERMOINE! SHE'S LITERERLY A REAL LIFE MIRDERER OMG!!!!1" because they genuinely think this shit counts as real

This sounds seriously bizarre. I wonder what it'll be like if these people grow up and get more serious and intellectual about it:
      - A silly generational thing, like hippies believing in the Age of Aquarius or whatever?
      - An academic thing? Scholars and grad students publishing papers that use reality shifting as a sort of scholarly metaphorical concept? Kind of like how there are intellectuals who are like "we use cell phones; we are LITERALLY cyborgs"
      - A more serious niche religion like neopaganism?

Like I could see it turning into any of those

      https://i.imgur.com/1Z4XrUq.png

Not even lucid dreams. I think it’s just roleplaying movies they’ve watched

If it's not lucid dreaming, I wonder if some of these are doing the equivalent of "automatic writing" except instead of believing it's a spirit dictating, their subconscious mind writes fanfiction for them and they believe since it didn't seem to come from themselves, it must be real in another reality.

One thing I realized and am surprised it took me so long to understand is that intelligence is basically IQ minus imagination, that a highly developed imagination is basically like an infection of the mind, wasting mental resources on generating pure bullshit. I worked with imaginationtards before, they are usually bad at their jobs and unhappy, I would be too if I spend hours every day in lalaland.

Anon, someone has depth of experience, even though he literally doesn't experience life as he should and prefers to life in a fantasy world.

I am completely serious, people with too much imagination are literally lunatics, these people fail at life, are always unhappy and go around making other people miserable.

The thing with imagination is that it is the precursor to originality, innovation, conceptualization of abstract things. Morality, justice, sanctity, sin, loyalty, faith...all of these things stem from pure imagination as they are not real. Too much imagination and you've schakled yourself in a world of delusions and coping mechanisms, too little and your life will always be the same mindless survival routine revolving around pleasing primal instincts and pretending to be human. OPs post is a prime example of using imagination as a coping mechanism.

        ---

THE FIRST FAMOUS STORY OF TIME LEAP

shifter: I can't do it every time, but I've done it three times now.

I don't know if anyone else can do it, but I'll teach you.

3: I want to go back in time to when I was a sperm and give it to someone else.

shifter: >>3 I can't do that, but the range I can shift in my kind of time leap is up to the time of my ego and my memories.

I can't choose a definite time to shift, and maybe the world is slightly different each time, so I don't know what will happen where I shift.

5: Please use a method that doesn't tools or anything like that.

        shifter: >>5 I don't use tools.

What I use for my time leaps is the dream world, especially when I feel the dream is deep and vivid, I tend to succeed.

I think it happens to all of us sometimes, when we wake up we know we are dreaming, but when we are asleep we sometimes don't notice it at all.

        I use those dreams.

The first time I went back in time was when I was 21 years old. I was NEET and had no friends at the time.

Every day I would think about what I could have done if I had tried harder back then, or how good I used to be.

I often wondered what I was doing before I went to bed.

I've recently learned that it's pretty important around here to think about the reality you want to shift before you go to bed, even if it's just a rough idea.

If you do that, you have a much better chance of trying to time leap in your dreams. (1/4)

          Anonymous

When I repeat this process every day, I sometimes arrive at a dream that is as clear as reality, even though it is a dream.

I still don't know how it happens, but it can happen even when I'm sleeping normally, or it could just be a coincidence.

The dreams I have are just dreams, so they can be anything, as long as it's me in the time I want to go back to.

The first time I had a time leap, I dreamt I was in middle school.

The content of the dream is that I am playing soccer with my friends who were close to me in junior high school.

The place where we are playing soccer is a white grass field, I don't even know where we are, and we are all wearing uniforms even though we are outside the school, and for some reason our homeroom teacher is there.

Of course, I don't remember playing soccer with my homeroom teacher, and there is no such field in my memory.

When you dream, you often don't realize it's a dream at first.

Once you realize that you are dreaming, you wake up and the dream fades away, so you have to pay attention to that first.

The important thing is to concentrate on the dream. In my case, it was soccer with my friends, so it was easy to concentrate.

And then concentrate on the dream for a while.

The only way to do this is to train yourself before you go to sleep, but it is important to try not to think that this is a dream or something like that.

Then your dream vision or sensation will gradually change.

At first, you may feel as if you were just looking at yourself in a dream, but then you will feel as if your awareness of yourself in the dream has entered into your dream.

As this continues, your awareness becomes even clearer, and you begin to feel the ball hitting your leg and the movement of your body.

It's like being in a video game character's mind.

Once you get to this point, it won't be long before the reality switches. (2/4)

            Anonymous

Now all you have to do is just concentrate on the action, on the connection between your body and your consciousness.

Of course you have to concentrate hard, but when you're dreaming, you're not thinking about going back in time, because once you think about that, the dream will go cold.

If you really want to go back to that time, you can naturally focus on what happens there, so you don't have to think about it too much.

As I continue to concentrate, the scenery around me becomes clearer and clearer.

The scenery I know, my neighborhood, and the town where I live are gradually recreated from my memory.

Of course, not everything is the same as it was before I fell asleep, but it's a different world, a world that I recreated based on my memory.

Where my memory is hazy, it is filled in appropriately, and in the worst case, the shape of the country can change.

after this, the meadow where I used to play soccer turns into my old junior high school, then other objects are added, and finally people are recreated.

As you are unconsciously concentrating, these things are recreated, so you feel as if they were there from the beginning.

Then you start to get a funny feeling, what am I doing now, where am I? Where am I?

But then I look around, and by that time, unlike the hazy world I was in at the beginning, I am in a world and consciousness that is just like the one I was in when I was awake in reality.

When you get to this point, it's over.

I can't go back to the world I was in before I fell asleep, and I even feel as if the world I was in was a dream.

Even if you think it's a dream, you can't go back, your consciousness is too far into the body of the dream world and you can't get out of it.

I've tried everything, but nothing works. I can't go back to the original world even if I wanted to.

This time leap is a one-way trip, there is no way to get back to the original world. (3/4)

I know exactly where I am, where my memories and memories are clear, so I know exactly where I'm going and where I'm going to be.

All you have to do is go back there and sleep, and when you wake up, it's over, and you have to live in that world from the next day.

It's important to note that each new world reflects my memories, so the reality is slightly different every time.

Even my classmates and the streets are different every time, and sometimes I'm surprised when someone I don't know suddenly starts talking to me.

It's like I have amnesia, and the longer I go back, the weirder the world gets. (4/4)

As this continues, your awareness becomes even clearer, and you begin to feel the ball hitting your leg and the movement of your body.

It's like being in a video game character's mind.

Once you get to this point, it won't be long before the reality switches. (2/4)

"Reality shifting" is just lucid dreaming while awake. It's like a very vivid hallucination where you lose track of physical time and space.
You might think it's cringy that zoomers use this to live out harry potter and capeshit fantasies, but it's a good stepping stone if it keeps them in a playful and motivated mood.

It's a stepping stone for getting into a deeply immersed state where you (nearly) forget your physical surroundings and feel like you're in your imagination instead, or "dream reality" as they've named it. Having a detailed plan for where you want to go and what you want to do helps your subconscious to cooperate to get you to that state.

difference between this and astral projecting?

        Anonymous

Astral projection is done asleep, while shifting" is done while awake.
In both cases I'm sure you can access real locations and get verifiable data back, but I must admit I have not successfully done this myself.

        how do i do it

        Two resources I've benefited from:
        1. Tom's Park, by Thomas Campbell. It's a book that describes a park with a ton of places and activities that stimulate all your senses to get you engrossed in your imagination. The idea is that there are data streams from your imagination and by the "Larger Consciousness System", and the first will naturally blend into the second. You can find the book on libgen.
        2. Extended Reality (ascensioncenter.ca/xr-extended-reality). It's a free but demanding 3-month course where the first half is about making the conscious and subconscious mind speak the same language, and the second is for practicing XR (the shifting). This one is great but takes a lot of time. Many of my cohort (september) got very good at it, but my experiences aren't very stable 100% of the time. When they are, they are the most amazing thing I've ever experienced though.

The most important message that both of these gave me was: HAVE FUN

Shifting tips and advice from XR:
            >don't think. feel. this is the field of the intuitive mind, not the intellect.
            >be naturally curious. inspect and interact with everything you encounter
            >if your subconscious spawns you in an unexpected place, just go along with the ride. don't judge or analyze.
            >engage good feelings

            >stay in the moment.
            >if you start with the outcome in mind, you're setting yourself up for failure
            >set aside any work you have to finish before you start
            >move your body, head and hands around to look around you and touch objects

            >learn to imagine in real-time
            >we tend to skip ahead and teleport around in our imaginations
            >instead try to walk around like you would normally
            >in your mind, walk a few laps around your house or the room you're in

            Instructions from Tom's Park
            >Pick an activity from the many that are available, then totally engage your awareness and all five senses in that activity to the fullest extent possible.
            >Have fun, get involved emotionally.
            >Accomplishing this may take much practice over many iterations
            >Slowly build up the complexity of what you are trying to fully engage in.
            >Focus totally on the imagined experience you are having until the story begins to unfold easily on its own, in its own way, however it does.
            >Do not question, assess, or judge the experience, just have it.
            >Do not try to notice or verify the shift from you actively imagining what happens next to you simply letting what happens next unfold however it does.
            >Trying to observe the transition of your data-stream to the LCS’s data-stream will prohibit the transition from taking place.
            >The idea here is to learn through repetitive practice to so fully engage in your Tom’s Park experience that your assessing, judging, comparing, and analyzing intellect lets go of its need and habit to control. Simply experience Tom’s Park without imposing any constraints, or providing any intellectual supervision or input.

    Shifting isn't a lucid dream.

I'm an avid lucid dreamer and I do out of body stuff often. I use the phase technique. So I have tons of them in the morning like three or four days a week.

I've had two experiences that just cannot be explained by LD or OBE/AP. Maybe you can call them persistent realms like the hyu post. But they were completely different. They lasted way longer than the time I was asleep. There was no control of dreams. All reality checks passed. The entire system was completely stable. I don't know if it's an internal thing or what but shifting is something else.

I came back when I wanted and woke up. Like a forced wake up. But to liken it to a dream is a huge undersell. If I rate it on realism I'd be just as likely to wake up from this world.

        Everything's a dream, fricknut

      Anonymous

I used to do LD and I remember there was basically two different ways to induce them. If you remember to do a reality check during a regular dream it can turn it into an LD, this is called a dream-induced lucid dream. The other way was staying "aware" while falling asleep directly into a lucid dream from a state of awakeness. These wake-induced lucid dreams generally felt far more real than the DILDs. Basically just as real as reality itself. Most types of reality checks aren't bomb-proof either, they can fail. The one that never failed me was holding my nose shut while trying to blow air through it.
So, I believe you, but they were still dreams.

        Anonymous

The more realistic dream you are talking about is exactly what I do almost every morning using the phase method. Shifting is nothing like phase dreams. These experiences take it a level up. Books, electronics, physics all work as instantiated. You can go on EerieWeb and follow threads in these DrEaMs and come back to them hours later in DrEaM time and reread the posts. You can read books. You have a past. You can do reality checks all day long and all of them will work exactly the same as here.

Still dreams. Lol. Lmao even. Who cares if it's an internal experience?

I think "reality shifting" is real, because of the dedicated shill on /x/ to shit up the subject, I also done it before but it wasn't a mass media fictional world. Its that I hoped into another incarnation/avatar and vice versa. The other times I shifted were hell realms and I had to escape them to wake up in my "body", ironically they were more fun and less cruel than this realm.

I think some of what they say is bullshit to get attention in their communities but I think they can do it because they truly believe in it to the point that they sound insane. They don't feel shame in it either because they were never made fun of like the autists that would make OCs and fan fiction of sonic and anime. But they add a bunch of "limiting" ideas to subject which I think is cope because they fear death, because they still attached to this realm materialistically as they have no future and they can see it but they want validation from this world, so they get it from attention on their social media accounts. They binge watch media in between constant social media reels. I dread to see what kids are born today are gonna grow into.

If you can astral project or control your dream what is stopping you altering your POV to your ideal world? Because astral projection is insane same with lucid dreaming. Think about it.

I'm saying that our realm is insane if you think about it with a rational materialist outlook, people believe and can separate their soul from their body during sleep to travel the astral. If you can do that, what is stopping you from changing the outside dream? Also I never said it wasn't real shill-kun. Stay put in the third world and off /x/, or you can use it shift out of your impoverished hell hole.

notice how its only zoomer girls that believe in this bullshit. Its always out of a few reasons
    >solipsism
    >narcissism
    >refusal to take responsibility for their actions by deferring to a higher power
Often a mix of all of the above. They feel either extremely powerless or they delude themselves into believing they are Gods special little angels with divine powers (main character syndrome).

unless one of them can come back with some kind of tangible resource or generate matter in some form, it doesn't mean shit. What is the point of it if you still return to the same setting, the same shit job, the same shit situation, the same shit people. A true ability would generate matter in some way or at the very least allow you to teleport instantaneously.

Research Jung's -- Active Imagination -- practices for inner work and shadow work.

At its core, everything revolves around integrating / unifying your Self. All spiritual, religious, sociological, political, and other human studies orbit the Self.

The goal is to know yourself. The key is the inner work.

    Good luck

    I can't help but wonder
    how many of those "shifting"
are who so called "alpha males" told to show their tit's or get out while view their orb when pretending anyone who needs to ask what they are talking about should shut the frick up and lurk more

like a common every day troll
    who is all talk
    and no action

zoomers have no imagination, they grew up with the most wile shit imaginable on a screen in their pocket. they are probably just unlocking their imagination for the first time.

wasn't this a trend like 6-7 years ago? did they pick it up again?

    >they have never really used their imagination as a kid and had a screen in their face since they were old enough to hold a phone.
eveything started getting depressing around 2013 and has just gotten worse. its like everyone is always one upping each other on how sad and bleak they can make the future.

    >There’s a big zoomer trend on “shifting”. Zoomers believe they’ve figured out how to go to alternate dimensions using their mind.
    >It’s basically just imagination.

Good on them for learning to see the apple. What a time to be alive, NPCs gaining souls.

Not him but he's referencing that some people lack an "inner eye", so they can't "see" an imaginary apple in their head.

im actually gonna permashift this year (shifting with no intention of going back here), in the reality I going humanity is ruled by an alien empire similar to the combine of the half life games (but without the part of extinction and slavery of the species), but my reality isnt focused on the aliens, Im just want to be famous by being a model, actor and member of a boyband lol, realities where you are a celebrity are called fame dr (desired realities)
but before going to my desired reality im gonna take a nap in a waiting room (a special type of reality you can shift into just to relax and have more time to plan your desired reality)
becuase im very lazy at scripting im basically stoling the idea of this waiting room I saw on tiktok
