    Synchronicity isn't just coincidence.
    It's a "meaningful" coincidence.
Sure, you could argue that the "meaningfulness" is bullshit, but to reduce it to simple coincidence is missing the point of the term.

      Anonymous

      it is time related
      and the meaningfulness isnt bs
it is important that the meaning is set before and not after the event(s)
therefore it isnt something you just put together in your head

most people never had any real one i guess
/x anons maybe more than others tho

The point is synchronicities are not coincidences. Because it isn't possible for any one person to know all variables leading to events, this leads to many unknowns. In coincidences there are no unknowns. Why did a thing happen? Because it did. Unknown factors leads to speculation and that speculation is sometimes considered esoteric. Synchronicity allows for the possibility of these unknown and esoteric factors.

    you misunderstood it.

coincidence is, when there is no causal or a-causal link whatsoever between two events. its purely random and there is no relationship whatsoever.

a consequence has a causal link.

a synchronicity is something, which has an a-causal link. its not correlation either.
it may be that we lack the organ of perception to discern this. we can deduce it, but not discern by which means they are linked.

"Skeptics" always say bullshit like "we would believe you if you just showed us EvUhDenS" but then use concepts such as correlation, coincidence, bias, and probability arbitrarily as rhetorical weapons against any case of the paranormal. Sure, it could be a coincidence that people have pre-cognitive dreams that come true. Sure, it could be a coincidence that everybody hallucinates the same few entities while under the influence of certain drugs. Sure, there could be a probability a bullet ricocheted so perfectly it shot a person two times in the back of the skull. But, genuinely, what are the chances that all of these absurdly unlikely things all seem to happen? How do you even calculate the probability with all the endless variables involved? Also, if "skeptics" followed their rhetoric honestly then they would only be at the polar opposite end, in an epistemological sense, to the quacks they themselves hate. Whereas the quacks will believe anything, rationalists should deny everything (of course they won't and there will always be some excuse it doesn't apply to them).

      Anonymous

That's why the True Skeptics were all mutes who said nothing. The endgame is skepticism is denying all possibility of knowledge of the world because ultimately all knowledge is based on faith.
Just take sensory experience. You're already making a giant leap of faith by assuming that all the sensory input you're perceiving is "real". You can't prove it's real it could all be a spontaneous hallucination, you have to assume it's real. This is the rational conclusion. But moron """"""rationalists"""""" wave it all away and assume it's already true.

Basically it's all fake and gay but as you know midwit goysloppers are going to midwit goysloppa.

        Anonymous

just know we created a new, much more fitting, word for "skeptical rationalists" ..

        midwits.

        Anonymous

Lol, thats not the same and you know it. If you're going to deny your sensory experiences altogether, you still have to treat the hallucination as real, since you're living there no matter what. This is denying wild experiences that break the rules of the world, that no other character can corroborate, and that already have a rational explanation.

          Anonymous

          >that no other character can corroborate
Except when it does. Then it’s dismissed as folie a deux.

I can honestly respect Socrates and Pyrrho, as counter-intuitive and paradoxical as their beliefs were, because they were genuinely dedicated to their principles. Contemporary skeptics don’t deserve to call themselves that. Like, wow, congratulations. You debunked a flat-earthed, something a literal third grader could probably do. But you still mindlessly agree with the current statist, scientific, and academic paradigm with a massive bias towards contextualizing everything through a modernist lens based on a knowledge system which inadvertently requires a leap of faith (as all do). My eyes were genuinely opened when I learned about the replication crisis, where even the hard sciences (including physics) failed over half of replication attempts and were cited more often.
