Thanks for having the balls to say it, not sure why this meme has caught on. It feels like something people hear and go "Hehheeh ok, I am le God!" because it's exciting and powerful to believe. Quite juvenile. Just as everyone has a boss, no man is fatherless.

Liberal culture has been elevating the individual above all else for a long time now.

Has it? I feel completely drained and demoralized as an individual when observing and partaking in liberal culture, and I fall into some of their special interest groups.

It's in the definition of classical liberalism
            >Classical liberalism is a political tradition and a branch of liberalism that advocates free market and laissez-faire economics and civil liberties under the rule of law, with special emphasis on individual autonomy
            >emphasis on individual autonomy

Individual autonomy means being able to act of your own volition regardless of family, nature, etc. Where in the past we saw ourselves as a part of and beholden to such things, now we are elevated above them.

            Anonymous

Bro, look around, classic liberalism hasn't been the culture for DECADES. Just because they call them selves liberals doesn't mean they think like Roe Jogan

            no, buddy

Modern day liberalism does not match the description you've given. The culture we've seen come out of liberalism in the past few decades carries a whip and mental chastity cages. It's demoralizing and demotivating. It certainly does not uplift the individual, just the refugee/shitty wife/naive teenager

The progression of liberalism is well studied. We are in a phase where people have progressed to being liberated from social constructs, not just material constructs. It's best to remember our past in order to contextualize the present.

            no, buddy

That said, has it gone too far? Can liberation lead to entrapment? Have we begun the path down illiberalism?

            I certainly think so.

            Anonymous

Alright I'll see you in the iliberalism middle. That being said , what do you propose we do? Shut our senses off to the current culture and remain in a stable individualized state? Or is that alone still prone to decay?

            no, buddy

We need to affirm our roots and recognize that not all things that limit our actions are inherently bad for society. Singing the praises of what people think limits us (like masculine culture for instance) is enough to open eyes and to set a path towards a more balanced approach to social development.

Sorry, I replied to your post and wrote incorrectly as I'm tired. God is One and One only and His qualities reflect this. God is referred to as an omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent being. So, God must firstly have no equal, if He had an equal that possessed the same abilities as He, then He would not be all powerful (omnipotent), he would also not be all present (omnipresent) nor would he be all knowing (omniscient), anybody who claims to be God obviously doesn't know of what God truly is, start with It's qualities and work your way down The Path of Truth until you know. We are like God in some ways, but I can't disclose these, you have to learn how for yourself.

I'm not saying to do it with this guy but there are results you can get from even practicing something simple over and over. I'm sure a well made complex conditioning system could maybe make something even more resilient. I somehow both believe and don't believe Christianity/Catholicism for instance.

You are a particular infinity 'in the image' of the Absolute Infinite by virtue of being unto yourself (and for yourself) Infinite vis-a-vis The World of mutiability, Finitude, mere beings with no positive existence (i.e. presence, consciousness). Calling yourself 'God' just by virtue of having a shared substantial existence/essence is blasphemy-- an abstraction bound up in vainglorious delusions of personal immortality (which would condition and oblige the Soul).

Just, it's fricking incredible. Ramana Maharshi attained Enlightenment when he was 16 years old, and when asked how, he said that he did it through previous incarnations. I tell you the truth that I have experienced, and that is that when you devote yourself to HIM (Ramana) you will change. I tell you that even the demons change when exposed to Him. Why? Because our ego's are lucifer needing conversion. God is simple, it's just the ego gradually exposing itself to the Light.

    >The problem of evil!
    >This or that is true!
Gradually pull your special butthole that you hold so dear towards God and you will get the whole universe. The ego's doubts will be fewer and fewer.

i'm of the belief that only the dead can be truly at peace with knowing the truth of creation. to do so, they become one with God and in feeling that they're God so that they may rest. When we're alive and in a living corporeal form, we have less of a capability to reach that understanding based on the limitations of our corporeal form. However, there are reasons for us to amend that by living or dying as we do. There's reason for how people experience the passage of time. Do everything right in living and in death, you may not only experience your existence as one of God's creations, but also as one within Him and all of ourselves. Understanding can be synonymous with peace. I'd rather people call you or I not God if they have a deeper understanding of death. I'm bothered less about it when the dead speak to me about it.

You learn in school that every single thing is made up of the same few fricking things, right?

You ALSO can understand the idea that you can only *truly* know something inside and out, right, if you ARE that something? There's no way to 100% be sure you can *know* EVERYTHING about something inside and out WITHOUT being that something in some capacity.

Put these two concepts together and, oh frick, you'll find GOD. You won't ever know GOD without first making yourself like GOD, as in figuring out a way that could be possible. This is how.

Like others have mentioned, you're one small component of GOD, but GOD is undoubtedly wholly you. It's all the same thing. You go, "Where's the magic?", buddy- YOU ARE THE MAGIC.

The shit you think is your own voice in your head is actually and directly the voice of GOD, just spinning around in its own partitioned room right now by virtue of being in your body, the same way it's in mine. It's how we can form Egos and create "distinctions" between the self so we aren't alone.

None of this was by choice. I cannot stress to you enough that it just IS, and we are.

Read up about Tesla attaching to the aether and getting his ideas. He's not the only one. Great minds throughout history have often touched on their ability to get information or downloads from the "Great Beyond".

Time isn't linear. It's perceived as linear by virtue of us having a body. Time is a measure of change, how we can ascribe portions to our experience and order them in a line. However, everything that ever could happen in every iteration of existence is happening all at once. If you can connect with the all (which you have a direct line to), you can functionally "pull out" or receive downloads from that all.

Let me explain it this way. GOD is you.

You stick a human being in a dark room alone and the psyche shatters into pieces to create new personalities and "people" to keep itself company. The exact same thing is happening with GOD, like a brilliant diamond shattered internally, forever reflecting upon itself.

Come ON dude. If you can go to the GodMind thread in the archives it would help because I don't want to rewrite this shit.

Yes. Both posts completely avoid the question.
The closest you get to an answer is "you want to", but this is demonstrably not the reason because the presence of only one "live" experience remains even as you or I desire something else.
So - I dont want to, yet the question remains. Why?

The question is trivial and tautological IF you start with the understanding of different people are indeed different people.
If instead you begin with the idea that we are all one consciousness, then it becomes a nontrivial question to ask why is it that this experience is the live one, and not some other.

If you're asking me why you are you, it's like asking why this dot here isn't this other dot here. The dots are. The paper just is.

And, in the best case scenario, it's because you chose to be you, because that's always what you have been. That's your portion. That's where your awareness is located at in the giant tub that is filled with GOD (in this analogy GOD is also the tub and the water to make it clear). It's like asking why one piece is below another in a bowl of candy.
