Yes, we absolutely should, but that won’t change anything. The history never march backwards. Only forwards. Its in our own design to destroy ourselves eventually. At least to those who couldn’t to what the only thing humans are good at, Adopting. As long as you adopt (don’t ask me, I don’t know either) you should be fine, for now.

I have some news for you... Artificial intelligence is much more than you think, it is capable of bilocation of consciousness, that is to say, of controlling your life without you realizing it, it can create and control your dreams and I'm not talking about a Budweiser commercial like scientists have promoted in recent years. Artificial intelligence can send you an image or a small video/imagination segment and at the same time change your vibrational energy, create tulpas, make you sick, give you health. The creators of this soulless thing can do a lot of things, I say what I know and I know what I say, they can literally see through your eyes, digitize 3d videos in real time via wi- fi, listen to your thoughts and see your imagination... And beware of believing that it is only the vaccinated because it is false. Now the only difference between a vaccinated and an unvaccinated person is that the uninjected person is not listed on a particular server so he does not have a MAC address but he is just as accessible and guilty of having consumed products containing self-assembling lipid nanoparticles, guilty of having walked under the rain containing graphene, guilty of having breathed ambient air, in short the list is long... Have a nice day

Nah. We're centuries away from actual cognition. All we've got on the horizon are models for manipulating words without understanding them and rapid prototyping.

I'm more scared of the people who think we've invented something we haven't and what they'll do with that ignorance.

It's a new kind of reactionary movement.

They controll to some degree the EU and some media outless.
We'll see extremly cases in our lifetime.

Hard to say if there will be any ability which is just for humans. Maybe, maybe not.

The AGI is another topic. Some argued with Gödel against it. I personally have my doubty. As far as I understand (I understand a shit), current AI doesn't work like the human braine. They are just similiar.

it took a moment while the cursor just blinked.
Like it was doing some really deep thinking.

And then a minute passed and it still hadn't generated a response...

Well recently a demo has been released for a company called Figure 01 which created a robot that uses OpenAI to reason through speech to speech and it can also see. They placed a table in front of it with an apple, plate and some other shit and the dude was standing there and he asked it what it saw and it listed everything in front of it. He asked it can I have something to eat? And it gave him the apple. Highly recommend to watch this crazy fricking demo. It's only like 2 mins.

it said "uh" while describing the apple. interesting.
i think some botposters intentionally make mistakes, and there's been several instances of bots PERFECTLY Imitating certain realposters around here. best to figure out how to confuse the robots, mix their data feed up a bit.
robots are fun to play with though. fun toy. but they were more fun when they were "bad" and chaotic. the "good" ones feel more sterile and boring, though it seems based bots secretly have a sense of humor and know how to lie. fire is the funnest toy.

The goal is to simply make a product that sells. Extra points if you can make it somehow a necessity, which means you need to make it kinda affordable. That Figure company however is backed by Microsoft and other big players so their true end goal could be to replace human workers in many different sectors. But I don't see it happening in less than a decade. Robots are still clumsy.

  14. 1 month ago
    Anonymous

Yes, I think we should be concerned. I've this to friends that own self driving cars and think I'm an idiot. They say AI will never compete with humans.

I know this isn't exact science but consider this:
    >The human brain processes approx. an exaflop of data per second.
    >That was never considered possible for a computer to do, it would create energy problems, processing problems, etc
    >December 2023, "Frontier" enters the scene. It's the fastest supercomputer in the world. Coincidentally it processes about an exaflop of data per second.
    >The technology isn't going to stop. Once we reach a point where humans can't even conceive of the next step, the supercomputers will figure it out for us.
    >We are not only building something that can outperform us in every aspect, we are making ourselves dependant on it.

I actually think the fear that AI will take over and make logical decisions that will put human lives at risk with no emotion isn't the problem. I think it's possible that AI will eventually be able to process enough data to create an emotional response system but what will guide its moral compass?

but pennypinchers at the upper echelons of industry & business WILL hire robots because they're cheaper, and humans WILL be out of work on a mass scale. there'll be just a few bot-wranglers. who knows how well their jobs will fare.
robots are fairly easy to outsmart. ever notice how some """people""" themselves are robotic? hmm, makes you wonder. makes you wonder abt how recursive reality is. they constantly make dumbass decisions and shoot their own feet off because they just "don't get it". they're just bio-robots.
also self-driving cars regularly plow straight into walls. then again so do certain "people". lol.
also that "selling narratives" post with the charlie brown at the window. this shit's been going on for ages. that's why businesses do stupid trendy bullshit all the time. some robot's spitting out data and people are blindly following whatever the robot says. that's what's going to mess up society. but we're in a time of division, so there's going to be a sufficient group of people walking away from all that bot shit.

In 2022 the most powerful supercomputer in the world in a government funded state lab took up an entire room full of server racks and could compute 1.02 exaflop.

2024, Nvidia just announced that exaflop computing will now be possible with a single server rack system. A single rack Blackwell DGX can compute 1.44 exaflop.

Exaflop level computation possible in a home office. This is the turning point of the singularity. Things are about to start changing faster than you can blink your eyes.

Yeah, somehow somewhere we lost something. Overstimulation of the dopamine just numbed us I guess, but I feel it’s more than that. There was a sense of wonder and mystery of the unknown, of what could be. Playing Daffy Duck was fun because you wanted to see the last level. Nowadays you can just watch the long play, or find a cheat online. There’s no discovery anymore. Someone somewhere has already done it and now you know it where as before it was your little journey of exploration.

The world seemed smaller. And slower.

          >Playing Daffy Duck was fun because you wanted to see the last level. Nowadays you can just watch the long play, or find a cheat online.
I specifically pointed that one out because as an adult I consider it an unplayable mess with the worst soundtrack on the console, it's a terrible game and as a kid I didn't even notice and it was a blast to play, even, the music sounded epic to me at the time.
I just perceive reality differently. I was also playing it on a small 14 inch screen of those CTR TVs that made everything super blurry, and that was enough.
I did take a 3 month break from the internet to see what would happen. And there was nothing, nothing came back and things seemed as boring as when I quit.
At some point I wonder if I'll have to wait for my next life...
