Repressed Memories

So im pretty sure my entire family was abducted or experienced divine intervention in 91 or 92.

For some context: it was the 4th of July, and we were shooting bottle rockets in the front yard small town USA. It was a small house as we were pretty poor.

The air got completely still as a giant oak tree nearby started to sway and bend almost completely over. My sister shouted "Tornado get inside!" So we ran inside the house, grabbed a mattress, and all 4 of us (mom, dad, sister, and me) got under the mattress in the hallway as the house started the vibrate/resonate defeningly loudly.

Then all 4 of us experienced a time skip. This was around 9pm the night before to 9am the next day. We were standing at the edge of the road looking at the house completely flattened with a tree on it. None of us remember the 12 hour time period from when we got under the mattress to standing at the end of the driveway.

The local weather man apologized the next day because they dont know what happened. They didnt see it on the radar and it came out of nowhere, gone in an instant.

I cant find any newspaper articles or database articles about this tornado. I find find literally thousands of others dating back to the 1800s with meticulous detail of injuries and paths. There is no record of this tornado.

For the must know, it was Brookland, Arkansas. I have reached out to people from the area that lived there at the time but so far have reached nothing but dead ends. My memory of the event was crystal clear other than the 12 hours we cant account for.

Does anyone have any tips on unlocked repressed memories?

I should preface this wasnt a suburd, this was more like a country setting. You would usually one 1 or 2 houses or trailers at most within a few square miles. There was one trailer on the property the house was on that was vacant that had a tree through one side of the trailer sticking out the other.

Thanks. I'm considering seeing a hypnotist as I haven't achieved the answers I seek in meditation.

I read up on repressed memories before and it seems like you cant really restore it. The brain doesnt store memories like that, and can even create false memories, according to science. I’ve yet to come across any esoteric sources on memory and the sort, so feel free to enlighten me.

A lot of what I have read and heard suggests the same. The hypnotist I reached out to specializes in smoking cessation, weight loss, and general self improvement. He hasn't responded, so I can only assume he's not interested in memory recovery.

Also something I would be worried about is the possibility of recovering false memories. I may never know what actually happened that night.

If it was related to ufology, it would make sense as my parents and sister have had a lot of UFO encounters over there life.

Once in the 80s, a few years before I was born, my dad left for a convenience store down the gravel road from where he lived with my mom, my grandma, and my uncle in tow to get cigarettes and sodas. They left around 6pm

On the way back, grandma tried to roll down a window with a bad regulator to smoke, and it fell. Dad stopped the car to pull the window up as it was super cold outside. While he was working on the window grandma pointed and said "son what's that?"

Over the ridge a cylindrical saucer rose over the trees, shooting out these flares of light that hit the ground making a noise similar to a bottle rocket. Mom and uncle were completely frozen and wouldn't look (they have no memory of the event).

They returned to the trailer, a 15 minute round trip, at 9pm. Grandpa had wondered where the hell they went. The sodas were warm. Grandma and dad both received radiation poisoning based on their description (itchy rashes that burned and subsided after several days). Grandma later died of lung cancer the same year the tornado destroyed our house.

Missing time is a common symptom of alien abduction, and a lot of abduction researchers believe aliens routinely suppress their victims’ memories. Many believe they target family lines as well. So alien abduction is definitely a possibility, though I don’t know what’s up with the tree.

The UFO researcher David Michael Jacobs used hypnotherapy to recover memories, though there is a risk of creating false ones.
