Prophantasia

Hey guys, I don't know where to post this, but I've found this game that is supposed to "train" your prophantasia.
https://apps4lifehost.com/WN9/

Basically, you press on "Access Mode", then on Start.
The objective is to see as many afterimages as possible.
When you get advanced enough, you can try to change the afterimage or see if you can hold it for longer.

I have incredibly vivid "prophantasia" but mainly for super traumatic experiences I desperately want to forget. I wonder if there's some kind of link between the intensity of what's being conceptualized and one's ability to do so in detail. That's my guess anyway.

I have hyper-phantasia and advanced prophantasia. You might think I'm just bragging but I can clearly describe how it feels.
It's not as nice as people make it out to be. You can visualize a lot of fricked up shit especially when going through traumatic events.

I would like to recomend the method described by william atkinson. The method he describes is to get a simple object, then analize it and engage with it will all your senses, then try to recreate the mental image of that. I recommend to follow that method and complement it with method.

    >Tfw lack of prophantasia and aphantasia

I see only what is before me, my minds eye is as blank as the black static that greets me when I close my eyes. Yet I still dream, and know intuitively how things work. I think in concepts, feelings, and inclinations. It's all so peculiar, I love to reading in preference to any visual media, but will never be able to picture those worlds that literature allows me to visit.

One of the creators of the Disney Fantasia film actually has aphantasia. He's gone on about his art process being that he has to actually draw and create any ideas he has because he can't otherwise imagine anything to judge whether its something he should make. I saw a recont headline about him and using ai art generators for people with aphantasia but I didnt read it

I sometimes have ungodly vivid visions, often of cartoony looking other worlds, and have the mist vivid conscious control thinking of entropic things like fire + smoke, flowing water, etc. other times my mind is completely dark and I've had twilight sleep "dreams" of entities smothering my eyes or throat to prevent higher connections (greys and deformed lizards mostly) saying shit like "he's coming online". Clearly having my imagination suppressed by dark entities, apparently it's an indigo child probablem that they started rolling out on Blavatsky. I'm all open for tips to break through, because when I am "online" I seem to tap right into the wisdom of the void and an ability to manifest timelines with eyes open. Clearly a "threat" and I can't be the only one.

Well, for one thing, in phantasia, you decide what you're imagining, and the more phantasia you have, the better what you imagine looks.
With prophantasia it's like the images you see in flashes before falling asleep, which you usually don't control and appear briefly.
You are actually seeing them, and not imagining them.
Advanced prophantasia would be like watching a movie on your eyelids.

        Anonymous

I think I got both then.

I haven't really had a 100% 1:1 on real life imagination moment. though

        I have gotten close.

lthough most of the visions are horny fanfiction or fricked up images.

          Anonymous

I think the main difference is you can leave prophantasia on its own, like, create a scenario and watch it, and what happens in it is outside of your control.
With hyperphantasia you're always in control and decide what happens next.

Your page with that game is for what? I don't see the point of memorizing something if the images go so fast.
It reminds me of Dual N back more than anything else.

Just make circles or paint-draw them like the buddhists do in Zen and then try to visualize them (or imagine them let's say).
But anyway, any new method to training is worth it if it works.
    Thanks.

        I meam seeing the list.

I guess it could be discrived as a mixture of level 2 and 4 external halusinations , with also internal and a entity tecnically?

I mean I can do those (baring entity) on comand just imposing stuff and the like just imagening stuff with music for fun , or while walking down the park.

I was not on any drugs at the time as well and have never tried anything more than a beer , granted thats just cause I am always high.

Thats not really what I find wierd , I had like alters , tulpa like ? stuff , just system like stuff.

I had 1 tulpa? use my imagination before and force it and the external halusination is just something that tulpa? does constanly of imposing herself all the time if healthy , so the wierd guy could been an alter tulpa frick up whatever.

        .

what really messes me up are 3 things that it did while active.

duration: the thing managed to hold that long for an hour strait when me and my tulpa can only do so for seconds , she used to be able to do it for similar time when she first was created and I was less braindamaged though.

object permamence : the first is that it started in my minds eye as the idea of it being behind me , not 1:1 of course very stylized , which I think its an internal alusination since its minds eye , but when I turn around its an external alusination , this kept going back and forth , this btw was something I consider it imposible just mixing minds eye with imposition stuff, it was also an inmubable alucination exept it wasn't , you could tried moving it in both forms and it worked but then it just self repaired itself to its original status quo , sometimes it whould move by itself but moving it whould revert it , also I manage to turn it into a circle and that change remained for some wierd reason.

stupid: well then I think that it most be a tulpa that knows more stuff than me , but it was non verbal and non comunicative during the whole thing , I also didn't feel any other person thier.

This thing basically just flexed on me his imagening skills (someone who is very narcisitic about it , although not that good) , scared me by how good he was and teached me some new tricks to reinvent my mind which revolucionice it.

all while not being sentient or smart from my perspective or really thinking anything.

I was also completly sober and don't do drugs outside of maybe music and sleep deprevation , but I was extremly well rested that day.

I still have no idea what it was halucination nor tulpa add up , it was just a random thing that forced me to use my imagination in what I thought an imposible way

Exactly this, at least for me. I've used mushrooms and street drugs that claimed to be LSD. Not being a moronic hippie, I was easily able to figure out that the visuals were the results of the brain trying to make sense of overlayed after images caused by small eye movements. Under normal circumstance your brain ignores the after image, but it's always there. On these drugs is possible to perceive the image you're looking at as well as the image from a fraction of a second so when you're eyes were a few degrees different. You might interpret this as any number of things. This is why repeating patterns are so good for this. Also, if you really pay attention (even without drugs) you can become aware of the physical structure of your eye within the visual field. The blood vessels are always visible, but your brain edits them out

I cant help but feel like most people just cannot understand their thoughts clearly and objectivley. I dont literally see anything but I do create the most detailed image in my mind that also builds its own context around it without my consent. I can picture an apple in the void but it prefers to sit on a bench in a rustic cottage with sunbeams and a rustling huge tree outside.

Yet I dont see anything. I can see with my eyes and my inner mind at the same time. The way people describe it is as if they literally see the object with their eyes. In that sense I can visualise an object with my eyes open and closed while ALSO being able to think of an object without visualising it.

Also the idea that its a "spectrum" is ridiculous, you either can do it or cant. There is literally no way there are people out there imagining a grey cat which leads me to think that the entire concept is conformation bias, if you think you can you can and if you think you cant you cant.

My minds eye is, at worst a black void, but i can imagine basic geometric shapes up to maybe a rubix cube in complexity. I can also 'see' places that i have been in my minds eye, and even invent them, but at most they are black and white, and i cant make out any of the detail. I can compose polyphonic music, and imagine melodies/chords as if hearing them and blend it with real music in my head though.

I also don't get this tbh , like it makes me feel alien (not literal)

I can kind of see it in terms of details and complexity.

its wierd they talk about colors since simple colors are so easy to render.

you can make the geometry of a entire space but can't add in color seems silly.

I mean anon you can try the spectrum claims by using your imagination when you are mentally fukcked or very mentally healthy.

I think the meaning of a spectrum is to communicate detail of the "image". you can't really take nor draw a picture of what your mind can't render.

Sounds cool, but there is no benefit in being able to spontaneously produce hallucinations. Sounds like something that could go bad if you lose control over it. Now if there was some way for the hallucinations to interact with physical reality I'd see why it interests you, but outside of that there's no reason to learn this.

I score on the hyper end of both both. I realised that I could very vividly imagine and "project" anything I wanted, even from a young age. I vividly remember playing with Legos in my head on long car rides when I was 6 or 7. since the age of 15 I have been actively training this ability, imagining things, often mechanical in nature, and then drawing it down.
I also have a very photogenic memory. I can't remember dates and numbers. this might have a say in why my mental image is so good, as I naturally have to imagine things visually. idk
