Pride is a weakness

Pride stiffens you; giving you a reactive and brittle psyche. An ego is a calcified facade from too much emotional intercourse with the external world. But humility loosens you up, making you far more effective at flowing through the world. This grounding gives you unrivaled awareness. No amount of lifting, grinding, hustling or self-improving can get you to this place. But humility is only found in the silence of mediation. Ultimately the only identity that matters is the one you derive from your relationship with God. This is the supreme peace giving you a strength nothing can defeat.

Responding to criticism correctly will either teach you somwthing about yourself, or your critic. Finding this deficiency is the key to filling it and learning something valuable. God answers all your questions.

Criticism without correction just makes you look like the moron. But since you're so learnered, I'm sure you can provide the right definition. I'm sure it will be a simple matter that won't have anything to do with splitying hairs over srmantics to evade accountability.

Pride is a survival mechanism to maintain freedom.

Those without pride, or who supress their pride accept a life of serf-dom.

        >but we dont need them anymore
Maybe you don't, because you live with your mother and she gives you everything you need.

Other people get trapped in life circumstances by devious manipulations.
Personally, I spent a long period of my life in an informal indentured servitude with no way out, like a prostitute whoring my body to the same person for drugs.
Refusing to get angry and feel rage is to suppress your pride, to supress your survival mechanism and to accept a life of serfdom.

Rage and anger are steps of the healing process when you refuse to be a victim any longer.

It's pride to the unenlightened because they are too prideful of the things they were taught (not by themselves) and reject anything that goes against it because they have a supposedly infallible thing to base the things they were taught on.

You never asked why. When someone asks one questions, they can reasonably expect a singular answer. When one *expects* two answers for one questions, then they, perhaps, expect that the questioned is irrationally charitable (such that they can have or take advantage).

You didn't ask why. But I'll tell you why: because a derived identity fails does not reach that-which-is-unexcelled. God wants for others that-which-is-unexcelled.

Lucifer that was cast out for the sin of pride.

But those who are in love of self and of the world have no capacity for receiving what is good and true; they loathe and reject it, and at its first touch and entrance they flee and associate themselves with those in hell who are in loves like their own. - Swedenborg

The evils of those who are in the love of self are, in general, contempt of others, envy, enmity of all who do not favor them, hostility, hatred, revenge, cunning, deceit, unmercifulness, and cruelty. They may also have hostility towards all things religious and Divine, as they sense that religion is opposed to their love of self. - Swedenborg

Pride is pride. For a common individual, too much pride and/or pride in the wrong things is a weakness.

Otherwise, pride, or rather conceit, exists in all beings to some degree unless they are enlightened.

Even in traditions that say to suppreas/discard/kill the "ego" the people at the top do the opposite and train it

Hypocrisy is a personal failing, not a logical failing. Being clean doesn't suddenly become a bad idea just because some drug addict told you to stay away from drugs.

Judging an idea based on its source is called a genetic fallacy. Very common with Americans.

And I'm saying pride and ego is the enemy of clarity and awareness. You are the ine who brought muh masters into this in order to create a genetic fallacy, likely because you can't oppose this original point above. That is actually the real argument here. Why are you on the wrong topic?
