>be me, train hoppers
>caught a freight from Jacksonville Florida, was going to ride it in Birmingham, instead got caught in the rain in Jacksonville
>had low supplies, so we had to bail at the next Crew Change, which was Manchester Georgia, a small SMALL town in the middle of the forest in East Central Gerogia
>get off the the train and notice it's quiet, too quiet
>the town itself has a eree feeling to it

    >go to the only store in town, a Dollar General and get supplies and some beer
    >head back to the hopout, which is about 2 miles down the RR tracks into the woods, with a semi steep grade of ballast to walk on.
    >we made it to a small clearing of woods that isn't up a fricking hill
    >only one house near by
    >we roll out and camp to catch up on sleep, figure we catch a train the next day
    >wake up in the middle of the night to a disturbing howl, it was way to loud to be a cyotoe, and sound deep, almost like an ape, than it stopped

woke up the next morning to find my dog cowerd in a bush, scared put of her mind, I figured it might have been a bear(there are black bears here) even tho bears do not fricking howl like that
    >so we pack up and wait for a train, any train
    >5 hours later a junk train pulls up, we start walking down the tracks
    >no rideable cars, all sucide(no porches, just cross beams) we walk the entire length of the train, hoping to find SOMETHING rideable, anything nothing
    >train airs up and leaves
    >we sit, 4 miles from town down the tracks into the woods
    >night falls
    >fall asleep
    >wake up to howling again, this time my dog starts to whimper, usually she is aggressive and is fearless(even tried to kill a Gator in Florida) but she was crying
    >I hear pounding and the howl get louder, I wake my road dog up, I try to turn on my phone, but it's dead, so we get up,pack up and start running to the town.
    >I hear branches break.

    >a train pulls up, fricking finally, perfect time.
    >as the train passes and slows down, a fricking TREE TRUNK, lands on the ground in front os us, it wasas if something threw it at us
    >we hear gunshots, like that of a rifle, and he someone shouting in a really thick southern drawl "GTFO away from my house you big ape frick!! You won't kill me like you did my goats" *gunshot x4
    >the train stops, my road dog and I look at each other and bolt for a DPU(an unmanned Locomotive usually mid train) and get on.
    >we lock the nose door, than we hear something on the ballast, the grade is to narrow for vehicles to drive down, but it sounded like a truck, the crunching of the rocks
    >we hear a loud thud on the nose door, something was outside the DPU
    >The train aire and starts moving, the sound stops.
    >as our train approaches the town, we both seen a big mother fricking figure jump off into the trees, I am talking MASSIVE, like the size of a moose, but Georgia doesn't have mooses.
    This happened two weeks ago.
I couldn't figure out what IN THE FRICK we saw.
Until I researched and came across Bigfoot sightings in Georgia, than I listened to audio of Bigfoot, SURE AS SHIT THAT WAS EXACTLY WTF WE BOTH HEARD! Why oh WHY was my stupid phone dead, really wish I could have recorded that shit!
Idc if you believe me or not, I know wtf we saw and heard.
I was a skeptic, now I am certain, BIGFOOT IS FRICKING REAL!!
I am getting goose bumps just writing this /x/
What does /x/ know about Bigfoot or Cryptids and Georgia(mainly Manchester Georgia)?

I heard they have been moving north from Florida. Basically, it's getting too hot and wet in Florida for the bigfoot population, so they are moving to more comfortable climates. Florida also is starting to get a lot more tropical beasts and I don't blame them for not wanting to tangle with anything moving north from South America. It's not just Gators and Boa in Florida anymore...

look at this YouTube channel "Sasquatch Ontario" on youtube. he says he's in contact with one for 15 years "which i believe to be true" he has lots of audio recordings that im sure will spook you.

also another channel is "SUBARCTIC ALASKA SASQUATCH" tons of story's from Alaska re sent in/ told from the channel owner fred. great teller of these encounters love this channel. real deal.

I never cared for cryptids or thought they were real, until i decided to watch some big foot stuff and got hooked. went down the rabbit whole on that and 100% believe all that shit now after hearing countless stories from people of all walks of life.

Interesting story, but I have a question, why are you train hopping whilst having your dog with you?

      I also have a cat.
Both were trained from birth, idk, they were strays.
It's simple, not hard. It's only dangerous if you do not know wtf you are doing

Yea, when I was green I climbed on a hopper car while the train was moving(DO NOT DO THIS) and my foot slipped, while my other one got caught in the ladder and I was dragged for a few feet and my shoe slipped of and I hit my head on a switch...had a nice gash for a good month, I lived and learned..

Yeah you gotta be super athletic, calm under pressure and most importantly sober in order to not die horribly from freight hopping.
I know guys who've seen people die from slipping and getting ran over.

That only goes so far since without sufficient upper body strength you can't pull yourself back up if you fall from a moving car, you don't need to be superman but you've gotta be something. Also can't board moving trains with heavy packs or at all you could slip underneath.

            I guess.
I don't get on them if they are moving, there are places to catch them.
And the train speaks, you can know Whether or it's gonna move or stay sitting by the sounds it makes.
Trains use air brakes...you can tell by sound if brakes are applied, meaning it will not move until it airs up or makes a hessing sound.

Good stuff anon. Spooky af. I'm always interested in train hopping stories. Couple years back I watched a ton of youtube videos of some Russian dude ride trains and sneak into Chernobyl and military places. Definitely would do that sort of thing in a different life or if my life takes a drastic turn.

Nothing to add but just want to say it's pretty cool that me, my brother or my dad may have been your unwilling conductor(s) at some point. We all pass through Manchester a good bit.

He ever see anything strange there??? Something about that town is unsettling, almost like a small Midwestern town, like Missouri Vally, Iowa, but, different. In those small Midwestern towns, you can FEEL eyes on you, EVERYONE is watching you.
This town however, you feel eyes, but, it doesn't feel....human...idk...that experience literally shook me, I have had a lot of shit happen to me, but this one, was, very very I guess..."supernatural" why I posted this here, on /x/ I wanna get an idea of wtf this was we experienced.
Mind you, I am a skeptic.
      And this was pretty convincing.

Some guy saw you, made crazy howling noises, threw the stump himself, shot into the ground and yelled the words you heard.
Or who knows anon, maybe a skunk ape threw a stump at you just as a means for you to get out of dodge showed up while a farmer did battle with it.
