What's with this crabs in a bucket mentality? How can non-enlightened people think they know better than the enlightened?

Most people are so unenlightened especially on this board that they can not and will not be able to discern an enlightened sage from a commoner or even a criminal.

I keep asking myself why I would want to know that I'm God. If God is all-encompassing that implies that God is all alone. And by choosing to go on these threads and interact, I'm really just interacting with myself.

And I've always known that I'm God. I don't think existence would be so bad if I knew that others actually existed.

Entertaining this subject is the most unenlightened thing you could do, as is self-proclaimed enlightenment, publicly or privately. Enlightenment isn't a fixed state and it never stops expanding, to say you are enlightened is to draw a line on something that can't be contained in definable categorization.

To go beyond fixed states is the enlightenment, you are a gatekeeping moron.

Well, you are just a plain moron then, because that's exactly what i said. To proclaim enlightenment is to go against enlightenment, defining the ineffable experience is to decapitate it, similar to how religious people decapitate their god by defining it or even humanizing it.

For something to be a state it needs to be fixed in categorization, therefore i have already stated enlightenment isn't a fixed state. You can't read but you can call others morons with ease, quite the enlightened cognition you have there.

Can you read? I plainly stated it's not the state but the shift. Not the state, the shift.

You're repeating yourself again. I have already stated twice that enlightenment isn't a state and that trying to make it a state stops it from being enlightenment.

            >Can you read?
Can you? Take a valium or something and stop responding to people before thinking.

So you are not actually aware and just repeating a mantra that you think makes you look enlightened.

I don't know from where you're deriving this thought. Enlightenment is simply realization or cultivation of insight, the sensory plane is a fractal loop therefore the cultivation never ends, experiencing never ends. Cultivating enlightenment generates wisdom, which is a connective, discerning integration of knowledge, people tend to describe and measure enlightenment through this because enlightenment itself is ineffable, this obviously leads to misconstrued understanding.

            >Enlightenment is simply realization or cultivation of insight,
imagine thinking the pinnacle of achievement is but knowledge
reminder that the renaissance idea of intellectual enlightenment is diametrically opposed to akshual enlightenment because akshual enlightenment is not an intellectual process whatsoever

Insight is experiential realization, and this will reflexively be turned into knowledge through allegorical elements as is necessary with the ineffable. I don't know what this pinnacle of achievement is, sounds like you're glorifying enlightenment.

No, the reason there is so much misconstrued takes on it is because of people like you who are adamant on categorizing and limiting enlightenment. Specially when they try to sell it from a second-hand perspective where they aren't even the ones with the insight.

Okay so this is wrong we actually can speak of the tao.

There is one universal consciousness. But there are nodes on the consciousness. Like a lot of them! And each of us is ONE of those nodes. And we're all interconnected and we make up the ONE universal consciousness. It really is we!

the spiritual light manifests from correct cultivation
if correct cultivation is not kept up, the light does not return
if it is well kept, it eventually becomes an ongoing state
sorry for all of yous that think there's some intellectual component to this

    Four quadrants of enlightenment dogmatism:

    1. Real Enlightenment has never been tried. It's something impossible difficult to even imagine. Anyone who claims to have experienced it is a liar. We must hold endless intellectual debates about the minutia of phraseology in various classic enlightenment texts, because to actually even inquire into the nature of enlightenment itself is still so far beyond us.

    2. Enlightenment is real, but only as laid out in [my preferred text on the matter]. All other sources of information are completely wrong & doomed to fail. The world itself is evil & seductive. Only the particular body of information I happened to gravitate towards is perfect & infalliable. So infalliable, in fact, that I myself cannot question it. I can only aggressively promote it's superiority to the heathen.

    3. Enlightenment is a fluid, formless thing that can only be known intuitively. Enlightenment is whatever I think it is. External information that contradicts my intuition is just an attempt to get me away from my own inner knowledge. My intuition is always right - it's impossible to imagine that I could ever be deluded on matters of the spirit, or acting on some kind of lower impulse.

    4. Enlightenment pluralism. Every possible belief system & practice is a valid path to enlightenment. Enlightenment is whatever you want it to be. To associate enlightenment with any set of particulars, or to suggest paths to enlightenment that might cause others to feel oppressed, is a sin and not to be tolerated. We must validate and embrace every individual's beliefs regarding enlightenment, so long as those beliefs also validate & embrace the beliefs of all other individuals. Enlightenment is not something to be worked towards - to suggest this reeks of a toxic, patriarchal mentality.

Hi, enlightened person here. Why do you care? A man stands by a candle, he is enlightened. A man stands under a lightbulb, he is enlightened. A man stands by a fire, he is enlightened. A man stands under the sun, he is enlightened. Wherever there is light to be grasped, there can a man find it.

What's the point of defining something that's semantically ineffable? People define enlightenment through derived qualities, such as wisdom, knowledge and equanimity, this is why people will expect these self proclaimed enlightened individuals to always be wise, knowledgeable and unbothered, but the possession of certain qualities isn't enlightenment. So most people when they talk about enlightenment or claim to "possess" it as a state what they're really doing is referencing and engaging with a shadow on the wall.

The people that go around saying "I have found Krishna" have never seen Krishna.
The people who scramble like mad asking, "Where is Krishna? Where is Krishna? I must find a way back to Him!" are the ones who have seen Krishna.

To come onto the board and say "I have achieved perfection" instead of coming here to say "please help me further, fellow adherents" is to show that you are far from perfection.
