Losing faith

I oscillate very rapidly between having a strong faith in a higher power and deciding to hell with it and embracing a very cold, materialist (in the economic and historical sense) view of the world. Am I just wishy washy or is this a common sentiment?

Oh I'm sorry for asking a question on a personal level in order to start a conversation on the nature of faith, I should've made the millionth bait thread about any of the dozens of overdone concepts on this board.

      to stop believing a larger
universal power such as the sun makes you moronic anon why would you give up on FACT? and in turn resort to moroning yourself
to a calcification of your spiritual potential lol tf bruh? so many people are making this utterly dumb fricking mistake and unfortunately will end up petrified/calcified spirit sediment/matter as afterlife. lol spacedust is quite ironically like deadspirits who just gave up on common sense/spiritual freedom

Are you a sun worshiper? Do you venerate it?

      do as I do
first look for the materialistic answers resulting from the present
then look for answers in the traditions, then make an analysis if it is a superstition or something interesting.
and finally you are left with your idea.
just respect the experience of others.
      >also
and yes, I oppose cults, idiotic thinking and woo woo.
especially when it is something dangerous to health or the ''family money'' damn fricking thief gurues.

Don't burn your brain cells and don't get into something too sickly cultist.
      I don't know if it's all a brain thing
or if the spirits are real.
      it's probably all a lie
or it may all be partly true in each of us
The truth is that I'm somewhere in the middle and nowhere.
      all its fricked up.
      I am an apatheist.

Yeah, I think more than anything I crave a balance. I'm open minded like you are about finding answers in collective knowledge as well as the more baseline material reality.

I am sure that there are secular humanists and atheist who are mindfricked by doing magic rituals (traditional or not) or chaoism kek

Would explain all the tech guys who get absolutely fricked on ayuhuasca

      >view of the world
The first thing to understand is that there is no "world". There is nothing outside the Mind except the formless Absolute. Materialism is the opposite of the truth.

But ultimately if materialism provides a way to alter our primary means of perception, is it not ultimately the same thing as far as we are concerned?

This oscillation is common sentiment to those who consume both secular and religious media. Just try to balance it out with more of an emphasis on your religious media.
