There is nothing truthful about breatharianism, right? There is no silver lining to this??? This is just as crazy as Flat Earth. RIGHT???? I mean take it from me: A person who always had the desire to eat less. I literally only eat for pleasure. And I get full really fast. So my weight always stays around 70 KG because I dont care enough to eat more. But this is just wrong right???????!!! Fasting =! Breatharianism. And most people who claim to be breathers are just fasting

obsess over your feelings and thoughts is usually what people say
except i'm supposed to make up a word too, so the correct answer will mirror this:
"through exciting the mensilia as a process on top of self deconstruction. read the baghivatimbdas"

You're allowed to glean for any spiritual food, cause nature has wasted food everywhere. Most people just be eating meat if it was roadkill or died from exposure to cold.

Yes but everyone’s path is different.
I can share with you things from my life but it may or may not be relevant to yours.

Generally, the lighter and energetic you feel, the closer you will get to this.

More like the manna will make you “pure”(cleansed) and you don’t need ‘calories’ to the same extent for energy

Zebra shit grows more plants, but lion shit is the end of the chain.

All shit can fertilise the soil, carnivore manure smells worse but it's still manure

It has to be processed first. That's a different chain entirely, where the sun breaks down the fertilizer and empowers micro-organisms. Most of the energy in this process doesn't go back to plants either, it goes into outer space.

I can't speak for Breatharianism, don't know enough about it. Honestly though, it sounds moronic. You are still a physical being that need protein and so on.
Neither does dry fasting sound too good. Kidneys.

Water fasting however does feel like picrel. Once you get over the suger withdrawal headaches etc. On your peaks you should feel pleasantly trippy at the very least. Mental clarity & reset. 10/10 would recommend.

      No it fricking isn't.
Catholicism, Islam, Hinduism, all mainstream religions are pro-life.
There are 9 billion people alive today. More than there have ever been. The pro-life moment is at its apex right now.
Wherever you turn, quantity of life is hyper-abundant

I don't think he's just talking about abortion. Consider for instance that Gnosticism is anti-life, because it demonizes our physical existence.

It's just a well known example here, there are countless others. Any ascetic traditions are anti-life, Christain, Muslim, Hindu, or otherwise. The same is true of many dualist perspectives.

Your idea of good is too limited. Who else is going to clean my mess?

            >it's bad because it gives me the ick!
does that mean your response is bad too?

            >it's bad because it gives me the ick!
Does it give *you* the ick, is what I am wondering

            Anonymous

Yes, your response gave me the ick. It's gross to see someone with a limited sense of good/bad.

Oh, you meant from wienerroaches? Sometimes I guess, and I appreciate that because it's an instinct for self preservation - you know, for the benefit of life.

I think what you might really be stuck on is the question of is one life better than another?
To answer a question like this objectively you need a framework of judgement that takes into account all that life has to offer, within and outside the context of our experiences. Obviously that isn't possible.

In situations like this spiritual tradition turns to faith. If you believe life is good, vs neutral, vs bad, what then is the impact on your life and others? Testing these assumptions, this faith, is what led to our current spiritual understanding.

    >(…) Before Dajjal (the antichrist) appears there will be three difficult years in which the people will suffer severe famine. In the first year, Allah will command the sky to withhold one third of its rain and the earth to withhold one third of its produce. In the second year, He will command the sky to withhold two thirds of its rain and the earth to withhold two-thirds of its produce. In the third year, he will command the sky to withhold all of its rain, and not a single drop will fall, and the earth to withhold all of its produce, and nothing will grow. All cloven-hoofed animals will die, except those that Allah wills.' It was said: 'What will the people live on at that time?' He said: 'Tahlil (saying "there is no god but God"), Takbir (saying "God is the greatest"), Tasbih (saying "glory to God") and Tahmid (saying "all praise is due to God"). That will take the place of food for them.'" Abu 'Abdullah (Ibn Majah) said: "I heard Abul-Hasan Tanafisi say: 'I heard 'Abdur-Rahman Al-Muharibi say: "This Hadith should be sent to every teacher so that they can teach it to the children in the schools."

I am going to eat 4 eggs, two chicken sandwiches and 3 McDoubles tomorrow. What other meat should I eat lads. No pork, no fruit, no opinions from skinny and frail Europeans, only vegetables will be pickles. Hmm I think salmon for second dinner would be good. I would top all this off with 18 beers but I haven’t had any booze for over a month now. I’m doing all this out of spite for vegans and op.

Daoism has legends of people surviving on qi and talismans. I remember reading about a daoist who was claiming to eat only water mixed with talisman ashes. At the time the rumor greately interested the emperor, and he summoned the dude for a demonstration and jailed him for a few months to see if it was bullshit or not. Apparently the daoist was still alive after fasting in a dungeon for a month.

I can't remember which emperor it was and I don't have the book on hand, but I think it was in "taoism: an essential guide" by eva wong
