is knowing about spirituality just a mistake in the matrix?

we live in a very physical world, but the meta-physical can only affect the physical indirectly. but look at how hard it is to get anywhere in spirituality, it feels like human beings were never suppose to know about spirituality and its actually a mistake that the creator forgot to fix. you can be a spiritually dead souless businessman and still make it to 100 years old because spirituality doesnt account for your physical survival, unless you're talking about souls and willpower. which has its own arguments. thats just it though... everyone has had a lucid dream atleast once, so we all know spirituality is real. even the most spiritual people still have to do live an average life, whether they work a wageslave 9-5 and still contending to their basic duties. like yeah you can astral project and blow wind into my ears during sleep, but you still gotta piss shit eat sleep and get sunlight

Yes that's the problem with most of us here, stuck in the middle between two worlds. You have a choice to either go with the grain (samsara) or to put effort into walking against the grain of sensual pleasures. This won't be pleasant (gradual training towards stream entry). Lord buddha called it the holy quest that either leads to total mental derangment or seeking a solution. If you seriously want to practice towards stream entry you have to take 8 preceipts indefinitely and not fall back, enduring the pain of withdrawal until things become peaceful.

What is this logic? I'm sure there are plenty of lucid dreamer materialists

Are you realizing what you just wrote? You're saying the same thing as saying "Someone who has Astral Projected is a materialist"

Perhaps I am, but I don't think it's absurd. If you think materialism is incorrect, then you should be able to acknowledge that humans are very good at finding crazy ways to be incorrect.

I was a materialist for most of my life, including when I was most active with lucid dreams. I still don't view lucid dreams as a fundamentally less materially-based experience than any other.

I think that's exactly right. What we think of as "reality" is a trick that's slowly trying to make souls willing to give up everything they are.

I really don't think it's just our imaginations or whatever, this world really does reward the ones who play its game, and its "game" is clearly one of survival, domination, control, power-over-others, a "game" where life must consume life to live, and every living thing is in debt to its own existence and must labor every day to pay it off (even nature labors).
This absolutely is a world that offends the soul, because it's trying to BEND the soul into a living contradiction of itself.

It rewards those who play its garbage game, so others who haven't fully submitted will see others "winning" and want to be like them (i.e. want to also play the game).

The way out is not found in the rules of the world. It's found beyond. The "world" is not a place, it's a state of being, so to go beyond it is to seek a state of being that's beyond these limitations.

      >The nuns taught us there are two ways through life, the way of Nature and the way of Grace. You have to choose which one you’ll follow. Grace doesn’t try to please itself. Accepts being slighted, forgotten, disliked. Accepts insults and injuries. Nature only wants to please itself. Get others to please it too. Likes to lord it over them. To have its own way. It finds reasons to be unhappy when all the world is shining around it. And love is smiling through all things.

It's not a trick, it's a challenge. There are no ways out, there are only ways forward and backward. Obviously it's not a very fun game from our perspective but we have a duty to make it more tolerable for those who come after us

Nah, if anything that's likely what they would be simulating: the fractal nature of awakening in order to comprehend the origins of the infinite root consciousness.

the matrix created spirituality to give you false hope. its really just a nightmare hell of torture and pain all the way down.

try looking in the opposite direction.

That doesn't make any sense, if they wanted you to suffer why would they give you hope?

I would say the reason you see them involved in spirituality, like trying to give spirituality to people, is because they're trying to distort the truth which is there.
If there was no truth there then they wouldn't bother at all...
