Be biologically female and don't try to be male or to compete with males in male paradigms. Be ok with being a mother and receptive female.
If you are a male, seek understanding and communion with your anima. Do jungian depth practice.

all spiritualism is metaphor for reality
WHAT DO YOU LITERALL MEAN BY "ENERGIES" AND ""REAL""
you wont answer this because you cant. I have answered it. It is all metaphor for experiential qualia. Yin is Female literally. Yang is Male literally. have a nice day.

what do you mean by worldview and asserting one? I am speaking of direct experience of reality. Yin energy is the energy of void which is literally the felt experience of being female. The End. Yang energy is the energy of singularity, therefore matter, the literal felt experience of being male. The End.

the larp is believing in the hocus pocus nonreality of energy beams and DnD style "magic" which is what im getting from you when you say unhinged shit like "the energies are real". If you mean real in the sense of visibile, manipulatable, and externalizable. NO. FRICK NO. It is only real as the concept of numbers are real. There is no phyiscal number 3, but the concept of 3 is useful. There is no physical manifestation of Yin outside of females and empty space, just as there is no physical manifestation of Yang outside of matter.

          >How to cultivate yin energ?
You can't cultivate yin separate from yang, they come together as a pair. When masters like John Chang speak of yin qi, they mean that in a very different way than what you people describe. Otherwise, yin and yang are manifestations of qi energies, they are not separate entities.
Just remember that yin-yang is just a way to describe complementary systems. Inside and outside are considered yin-yang. Ascending and descending are also considered a yin yang pair. So is qi and blood and so is qi and some different kinds of qi.
You can't just take these as you read them, they always have subtleties about it that are not correctly explained(because that's the eastern way unfortunately)

Finally some useful information, thank you for the clarity. I was born an intersex who was assigned and still identifies as a cis male, but I have a very healthy relationship with my anima. I like to protect her and feed her media and literature that suits her interests. I identify her with the sibling I lost; I am the baby of three siblings, but before my eldest sibling was born there was another sister that was a miscarriage - I feel like I was that sister but I came back as a male.

Ironically my main internal hiccup now is my newfound hateful self-image towards my male side - which is the side I always present as. I identify very strongly with the pain of all the women in my life (with the notable exception of my older sister, who is much more like a mean older brother in my mind because of how aggressive and antagonistic she has always been - she is very domineering and manipulative, especially towards my mother), I've seen all the hurt and betrayal they've gone through. It makes me never want to date because I don't want to be yet another man who just hurts and betrays yet another woman, but I don't want to give up on my male identity because I want to be that man who doesn't betray them. But I also know from my sister and my aunt on my dad's side that women absolutely can betray you as well - and my heart would shatter if I go through that. So I just don't bother with dating or anything of the sort, I just go it alone and have never bothered. I guess I'm working towards self-love.

I need to find balance, and now I feel too strongly attached and protective of my feminine side. But this overwhelming part of me still wants to present as male and my spirit still feels male: if I had wanted to be female I would've stayed as the first born. So I know I need to instead work on my balance. For the first 18 years of my life I leaned on my masculine psyche, for the past 10+ years I've been leaning on my anima. Now I need to balance them. Sorry 4 dis blog

        >I identify very strongly with the pain of all the women in my life
let me save you some time and just say it outright, women live lives of heavy priveledge. there's no pain in current time for women, all pain is of their own making, they're housing demons. their egos have become too big, which we see at how many marriages end in divorce (majority of which is because woman decides "grass is greener on the other side", and because they don't put value on marriage anymore)

You identifying with pain that has no weight is worrying. I don't want to speculate but maybe there are forces manipulating you

I understand where you're coming from, but I feel I should explain my perspective more: my mother is secretly the pants in the relationship, and she naturally has a lot of testosterone whereas my dad has a lot of estrogen. My mom was my dad's first and only partner, my mom made the first move, my mom finished nursing school before my dad got his comms degree, and started working before him. She has always been the pants, but she's very sweet and kind and passive too. My dad is very aggressive and argumentative, but he's also a total weenie when it comes to his own feelings. My dad wanted to be an actor, then a news anchor, now he's a lawyer, and my mom supported him unwaveringly and let him do whatever even after they had three kids (not that he was neglectful he was still more helpful than he wasn't, just should've done his fair share).

Then my mom got really sick when I was around 7, and my dad had to start working two jobs because my mom was so sick that she nearly died several times. It's around this point, a year into all that, that this woman shows up at the house and claims my dad slept with her and her friends a bunch and got her knocked up - she got an abortion and wanted him to pay for it after the fact. This was fricking terrible for my mom and it almost killed her. She stuck by him though, her excuse being "most men leave their wives when they get really sick like me, and instead he stuck by the four of us no matter what" - but she always leaves out the part where her pension + her disability checks (she's now considered disabled) were the majority of our family income until very recently, and even now they're still almost half of the income between my parents (I don't live there anymore). My dad isn't cruel or abusive or insulting - but he's pretty grouchy and insensitive to others.I just wish he'd recognize how much my mom did for all of us - even my extended family on both sides have this misconception that it was all the other way around.

So essentially, I have this strange contradiction where I saw my male role models inflict harm on my maternal figure, but I also have an oldest sibling - my sister at that, this conventionally attractive blond woman too, who is manipulative and mean towards my mother and always has been. My sister is very passive-aggressive and loves to start trouble.

I want to find balance between my distrust of my masculine side and my over-protective nature towards my feminine side.

            >Finally some useful information
lol that info is not useful at all whatsoever

I would love to read your perspective then: I'm just seeking information, I am open to multiple opinions and none of my positions are static - I want to change my mind, but I am also cautious about who I trust, if anyone ultimately. I am also looking to overcome my insecurities and weaknesses; or at least integrate them into my core psyche in a holistic manner.

Yin and Yang are relative to each other. Male is not yang, Male is Yang in relation to Female. People that say Yang is this or that and dont put it in a relational framework are asshats and know nothings and are not to be listened to on these matters. You dont have Yang without Yin and vice versa, its like saying you have a coin with Heads and no other side for Tails.

Honestly I feel that very strongly, which is the main reason why I didn't just transition to transfemme so many other other intersex men in my positon. I just think my issues stem from the environmental factors that influenced me. Thank you for telling me more, it's honestly very helpful. I also quite like being a man, even if I do have this very negative perspective on men when it comes to our treatment of women.

Ultimately I'm seeking balance and understanding, which is why I'm trying to overcome this baggage, I know it's holding me back. Thank you for your time and words, if you have anything else to share I'd love to learn more.

That's valid. I don't know why I'm carrying such things, it just sorta happened I suppose. I just gotta have faith in myself to stand by my principles and not succumb to temptation like my dad and my grandpa (both of my grandpa's are cheaters), while also keeping faith that I'm strong enough to endure being on the receiving end of betrayal - I've been betrayed by friends in the past, and my lack of romance in my life stems from that fear.

I just gotta let go and move forward. Will letting go of this baggage help me cultivate energies?

            >(both of my grandpa's are cheaters),
when a woman fails to fulfill her marital duties and drain the nuts of her man regularly
there's simply going to be a lot of men who go elsewhere to drain 'em when wifey says something asinine like once a month should be fine enough
so in reality its a case where both parties have failed in their duties
stress kills chi, dont forget this

That reminds me of that woman who founded the first official, battered women's shelter in the world - Erin Pizzey - and interviewed a huge amount of her patients over the decades.

Her conclusion was that most of the battered women had actually been equally abusive towards their spouses first - actively antagonizing them and verbally and even physically abusing them - knowing men can't normally hit back without facing serious consequences - as well as emotionally neglecting them whilst simultaneously expecting fiscal and emotional support.

It really is a two-way street, and my mom definitely can be controlling in her own weird, sweet, and subversive ways - but I will say that my dad and my grandpas fricking broke those women in retaliation to whatever perceived slights there were especially my mom's mother that women is completely mentally broken and now she's a fricking lunatic. With my dad I really feel there is no excuse, because I was there for it and saw how he was treated versus how he treated my mom - and yeah, he wouldn't hit her or berate her, but he shattered her heart when he cheated on her - and he fricking gave her CERVICAL CANCER because neither of them had their HPV vaccine because my dad was my mom's second and only other sexual partner her entire life - still is too.

The men in my family have been incredibly cruel to the women in my family, and if it wasn't for the childhood exceptions of my aunts on my dad's side and my sister all being needlessly manipulative and domineering towards men, I probably would've transitioned as a teenager (or at least went gay, but I find men to be both physically and emotionally very unattractive - especially penises they're fricking nasty to me, so I really don't think that was ever in the cards for me).

So I do have a series of internal contradictions I'm trying to work through, and I do have a strong understanding of both sides.

You don't want yin you want good yang. The world doesn't need any more hurt women. The world needs strong good men. Not pieces of shit wishy washy "feminist" men but good men that know how to be strong and confident. Unironically you should read PUA stuff and just don't use it to be an butthole. yin isn't cultivated

      Anonymous

this is technically true. what you cultivate are the conditions such that yin naturally flows.

with yin energy i mean meeditation practices to access the spirit world

cultivate stable attention. Once the skill has been developed then demonstrate to yourself until you cannot deny it that you can never not be fully aware. These two attributes will allow you to effortlessly rest your continuous attention towards any object. There are a number of objects that you can "meditate" upon to a greater or lesser effect, depending on your aim. To cultivate yin energy, depending on the level of your practice it may be most beneficial to become aware of the profoundly subtle flows of energy through your bodymind. Most common mistake is to try to direct energy through these pathways in the misguided hope that this will help. This is usually informed by a belief that the individual knows better than the whole, and reified by a felt sense of accomplishment and progress which for the most part tends to be imaginary. By being aware of and doing nothing to energy, especially as it naturally flows through your channels, without trying to visualize or generate any mental object, you will rapidly progress. Think of yin as a field of greater or lesser density which helps shape the flow of yin. It's orthogonal to, not parallel.

        shape the flow of yang*

        You need both

        YIN = Observing mind
        YANG= Intending mind

no idea why you're shilling pua here

honestly it's not a bad suggestion as a medicine to the mind sickness perpetuated across western civilization. Most contemporary males find themselves hamstrung from a very young age by virtue of indoctrination, which in many ways is addressed by the perspectives proposed by males who have a sufficient grasp of interpersonal relationships to be successful at dating.
For example, most of the perspectives involve ensuring that one's validation comes from oneself, and not from women, or that it doesn't matter what "she" thinks, or that you should strive against adversity and get used to rejection and failure.
This can be a very useful stepping stone, especially for males who struggle with being huge fricking pussies which is most of them. Ultimately the mindset needs to be left behind but that's par for the course.
Doesn't do anything about the xenoestrogens in the drinking water or the polyester clothing or the societal risk-aversion or anything else that completely destroys the male hormonal system, but it's not bad advice practically speaking.

you can't cultivate yin but if you want a good way to 'enter the stream' practice zazen
make sure if you have never sat zazen before to start with one leg (half-lotus) until it is comfortable then practice with the other

zazen is just sitting lotus pose, doing the cosmic mudra, and focusing on your breath

doing this practice helped me to center myself and ultimately led me to Christ, the only true pathway to Spirit

    Yang Energy = Sun
    Yin Energy = Moon

East Asian philosophy is too simple, because each of the planets has energies.
Venus is another yin energy, but not as yin as the moon is.

How to cultivate Lunar Yin Energy:
    (1) Moongazing. Stare at the moon for 10-20 minutes when its phases are full.
    (2) Female Energy: Lunar yin energy is one of the female energies, the other being venus yin energy. You absorb it by generally just being around young emotional woman, and having sex with them without losing your male vitality.
    (3) Lunar Crystals: Aquamarine, pearl, selenite, and silver israeliteelry.
    (4) Chanting a lunar mantra.
    (5) Swimming in a cold river.

There are lots of ways to cultivate lunar yin energy, but they tend to be more secretive and fickle than the solar yang methods.

Comes from both practicing energy work stuff, and from studying a lot.
The Tree of Life, with the planetary correspondences is a pretty decent map, but to understand the planets, you should study astrology, and chant their mantras, because kabbalah is kinda shit for that thing because the correspondences and attributions are purposely incorrect.
Spent a few years doing Chinese energy cultivation and Hindu yoga.
Spent a few years sungazing, and a little bit of moongazing as well.
Spent a few years doing lots and lots and lots of mantras, so learned about a lot of different energies that way.
Spent many years of meditation, occult studies of all kinds, astrology.
Picked up a lot of stuff along the way.
Developed a lot of energy sensitivity as well.

So in eastern energy systems, an East Asian female definately has an abundance of yin energy, which I would call Lunar Energy. East Asian woman have the most of this energy, more than other races, whereas other races have stronger Venus-heart energy, but Asian systems would give it a weird name like "middle dantien", rather than calling it a totally different frequency of energy.

Do you know if that's why East Asian women have a demureness and femininity not seen in the other races (not even the most feminine and womanlike ones)? The only other example I've seen are petite Hispanic chicks and/or Latinas who I assume have East Asian ancestry. Might you happen to have a Pastebin of general resources you've read over the years? This is the best resource of yin-yang I'm aware of. I usually include a warning whenever I post this site (I doubt you need it, so it's mainly for others). He's under the influence of demons. So he's Demiurgic and a israeli apologist. He's also autistic. So sometimes he provides harmful advice (like male circumcision and giving tap water to cats). Despite all that, he sometimes brings something to the table.

You'd get a general idea if you read "the magus of java", i mean it's the easiest read i can think of on the topic, specially for someone who's calling on schizos to get information.

But if you want to cultivate ying energy with low effort which i assume is your only intention, the most efficient way would be killing yourself.

dynamo jack is the reason I first heard of this practice. How deep did you go to research this guy?

I'm chill, i'm just saying most beings are purely ying (magnetic) when they die, in fact the whole point of these taoist energy practices is to drag your yang into the "afterlife" or next stage.

John Chang practices neikung, as for the specifics of his school that's mostly a mystery since allegedly he learned from scrolls passed down from his master. There is a "general" skeleton for this type of cultivation, so you can follow that, if you're interested in him you should read "the magus of java" after all.

yup, got it downloaded already. There are some groups dedicated to his practice but it seems most of his students don't have any real internet presence and that code of secrecy is taken very seriously. Did you come across other books or resources which touch on similar techniques? I'm very interested and have scoured the internet for any hints.

I'm not an expert on this type of cultivation, meaning i don't possess the framework for it so i wouldn't be of any help in a practical sense, i practice theravada and the psychic aspect of it is more subtle than the chinese stuff.

Many people here have concrete knowledge about taoist cultivation practices though, just open a thread asking about it and they'll show up, check 4plebs too, there are a bunch of threads about it archived there, just search for "dantian" and related keywords.

Also i'd like to add that it is a waste of time to practice this on your own if your objective is to produce "paranormal" physical effects with yin since by the time you reach a point in your practice where you'd be close to achieving it, you'd die most likely die because of it.

It's a heavily internal practice and it's easy to frick it up, there is key step in that process that is what it allows further cultivation of these "psychic" phenomena, and that key step can kill you if you don't do it correctly. Jhon Chang himself says that back then schools would use students as guinea pigs to determine the right method for cultivation of these specific effects, and that many students died in the process to pave the way.

so I was wondering if by stillness these teachers mean the body free of any tension ( basically asleep) but the mind awake? I realize that I come into this high state when I also slow my breath down while actively de-tensing all my points of tension (usually stomach, eyes and forehad for me)

Stillness is a state, 5 elements of mind need to be gathered to reform innate nature and fix Spirit behind the eyes. At the beginning outward movement is somewhat normal, as long as it's done by Spirit it is stillness. After a while Spirit will enter the practice of refinement. This is the sudden method of alchemy, jing, qi and shen are refined at the same time, this is the method for those with intact Yang principle between the age of 16 and 24 and uses the Central Channel, which makes the method risky.
The gradual method is the good 'ol jing>qi>shen and gradually opening Du Mai and Ren MAi, It starts the same as where one tries to practice the sudden method, but the body is not up to par, therefore energy is refined gradually at the three passes, it starts below the navel(ground Spirit within breath) at first pass, it's complete when original Yang rises to the heart(White tiger=cold fire), then you move on to refining qi to draw out original Yin(mercury). When original Yin&Yang act out on their own to fuse, one moves on to not only refining Spirit, but the complete sudden method.
The third is the direct method for children to directly refine Spirit and enter the Void.

        Fix Spirit, guard the navel.
"empty the mind, fill the belly"

As far as stillness goes, as long as you're not compelled by Spirit to move, you should not move a muscle. Listen for tension and relax those areas. When the spine opens and there's space between the vertebrae for qi to flow, sitting straight will become much easier, when the 8 vessels are full, your legs will not go numb even if you were to sit for 10 years.
