How do I become smart like you guys

I feel more mogged coming to this board than any other place on the entire internet. I'm a severe victim of arrested development but I've always felt untapped potential inside of me, and I feel like if I don't perform some kind of huge spiritual corrective action it'll be over for me. I feel like drugs will only set me back because I'll be confronted with information I have no idea how to detangle. Where do I begin. The Bhudda said to never concern yourself with metaphysical problems on this plane since it'll all be revealed in due time, as long as you make the most of your time down here. I don't know what to believe anymore

What do you want to know more about?

That's the problem, I barely even know when to start. Even the most mystical seeming things can seemingly be perfectly explained with le math and le physics and le chemistry, with black holes keeping some stuff inexplicable. Like yeah maybe it's all been intelligently designed but, why should we care while we're still living? It's not like anything can be done about it. Even dreams can easily be explained away with DMT.

I don't want to default to physicalism, but I really struggle to come to any other conclusion. I can't find it in myself to entertain anything else.

        >That's the problem, I barely even know when to start.

Don't think of it as book learning or flexing your intellect. Spiritual truth is felt, not thought. So just focus on the simple things in life you can be doing, that is acting on good thoughts and not letting bad thoughts control you. Spirituality can be practiced in hermit mode or in the busiest sectors of industrialized society.

        >Like yeah maybe it's all been intelligently designed but, why should we care while we're still living? It's not like anything can be done about it.

This is the perfect realization! We shouldn't be concerning ourselves with anything but the present moment. It's when you turn off the thinking brain and enter a flow state that you begin to FEEL in alignment with spiritual forces.

        >I don't want to default to physicalism, but I really struggle to come to any other conclusion. I can't find it in myself to entertain anything else

You default to physicalism in your default-mode-network consciousness but what if you were to expand your consciousness via meditation or psychedelics? That's when people start having paradigm-shifting experiences. Our sober minds don't utilize much of our brain power because it's concerned with survival, not discovering metaphysical principles.

Thankyou, I’m not surprised to see such a knowledgeable and beautifully thorough explanation of the process from Campbell’s corner of the world. I bet he gets contacted by private groups all the time for special projects.

Heart intelligence is far superior. The irony is, when your heart is properly developed, you are directly tapped into the fabric of reality itself, able to commune with the akashic records. All knowledge plus perfect understanding, leaving IQ nerds in the dust. Learn from people like Ryan Cropper, perhaps

Excellent. All entirely accurate from what I can tell. I can’t emphasize enough though, the HEART is the KEY to EVERYTHING. It is the seat of consciousness, not the brain. it is the central chakra upon which the spirit is anchored to the spinal column. And it is your portal to the akashic records, astral realms and beyond.

Seek the truth within. Everybody offering it to you on a silver platter is usually a liar. Think for yourself, investigate the nature of reality as best as you can and do a lot of meditating. The material realm has a lot to teach you, thats why you are here and somewhere else.

Like half the people on this board are schizophrenic, you are not missing out on much. If you seek the truth and you are really determined to get it, you will find it eventually, and then you will find even truths that you didn't know you wanted to find. Be patient and keep walking your path, with faith and consistency.

Looking to books or media or the internet, even to other people, for 'knowledge' - for data, information, news, hot takes, whatever - can only lead to learning by rote, to memorisation and repetition.

If you actually want comprehension, you have to utilise your own mind, your own intuition.

Find an environment you would find suitable for meditation, and then do the *opposite* of what people tell you to do when meditating. I mean sure, it can't do you any harm to 'clear your head' of all those smaller temporary, daily thoughts of what you're going to do later that day, or how you messed up some social situation the day before or whatever.

But my main point is, do the opposite of 'not getting attached to the thoughts that cross your mind'. Instead, pick one alone, 'attach' to it, and do precisely what some normie may term 'overthinking'.
Stick to any one single problem you have, and don't stop thinking about it until it leads you to a solution, or at least a conclusion. No matter how long it takes. Don't reach for Google at any point along the way. Reach into your own mind for the answers.

Personally I would argue that, only when you reach those conclusions, when your own mind and intuition feels truly exhausted of anywhere left to go, only *then* should you reach for a book, for 'information' - and you'll find you'll be much more able to parse the truth from the bullshit in that set of information.

Actually, if anything, you help the most because you can ask things from a reduced angle. If something doesn't make sense from a simplistic manner, or if people cannot simplify how they feel or theorize something works, they're not as smart as they claim to be.

Opposition of forces coming together and the proper application of these opposing forces is the very spirit of alchemy. In short, whether great or small all have their place.

    >Where do I begin.
self-knowledge. understanding yourself is important for understanding how what is within yourself affects the world around you, and you can make very little progress at anything without first understanding your own strengths. shortcomings, and repeating patterns.
