hearing my name being called at night

has anyone else heard someone calling their name in the middle of the night? It happened to me when i was like 7 years old. both of my parents were asleep so it wasn't them. the voice was weird, it was like i couldn't pinpoint where it came form. still scares me whenever i think about it. does this have a natural explanation or is it paranormal? I know i was not dreaming

Could be someone reaching out to you telepathically, I’ve had that happen to me.

yes I had this one that was like "anon we missss youuuu" and i just started viscerally crying. It was crazy like a foreign long lost family or something... bizarre stuff.

Hahahaha yeah…. That’s definitely your Galactic family reaching out. Man they must have started official first contact protocols then.

i dont know it was something though. like instant primal crying and i rarely cry at anything. I couldn't really understand what I was crying at either.

It’s… weird. I’ve had stuff like that too. It’s Something like being reunited with long lost family. The bonds that we’ve made with those who aren’t here span greater than decades, multiple thousand tear lives. Then imagine your wife after spending multiple thousand year lifetimes together was like “Hey babe, Earth needs volunteers and I’m going to answer. I’m going to forget about you and everything we’ve done here together for a time, but you’re going to help me remember and it will be the greatest love story of our lifetimes together.” At least that’s what they tell me it’s like.

why would someone that knows telepathy if that is even a thing reach out to me at the time? (a stupid ass 7 year old kid)

Well you still think about it all these years later when perhaps if that were to happen to you as an adult you’d probably convince yourself you were just hallucinating. Then many years later you and I had a soul contact to tell you that this is your wake up call. But who knows?

This hits home. I remember something like that happening to me. Maybe we aren't as alone as we think. Maybe we're the reincarnated souls of fathers, mothers, daughters, and sons who once had different families. Some of the souls that haven't reincarnated or are in another realm miss us. We miss them deep down inside too. I hope we can meet again.

ignore them. also DO NOT investigate the direction they're coming from under any circumstance. they'll go away eventually.

    Happens sometimes during meditation

It's hypnagogic reaction anon. Extremely normal if you dabble with lucid dreaming or meditation. Infact you will hear alot of strange things. Its just your brain being aware during NREM1

Had one instance when I was like 13 or 15 I was alone in my living room, then I heard
“Anon” from behind I instinctively turned around and said “yeah?” There was no one there, no reply either. I remembered just looking towards the door that opened to the backyard. This was waaaay before my druggie phase, so I know it was legit.

I’ve done dmt when I was 20 and now that I think about that instance. It might have been myself calling to me, aliens or magical elves.

I'm sure this happened to plenty of people. I've had it happen on occasion since I was around that age. It's always the same woman's voice. Due to that and several other things I believe I have something following me. Not malicious in the slightest thankfully.

Yes it's paranormal and it can happen when you're in your liminal state which is basically when you're half asleep.

    no, buddy

Once while hanging out with friends in my living room we all heard a low male voice shout my name. It was startling. Though, there was a lot of poltergeist activity in that house, so maybe it was something different than what you heard. On other occasions we saw an empty closet's door shake violently for a couple seconds, heard glass sliding doors slamming shut upstairs, and saw pictures and mugs fly off walls and counters.

Did you have a family member or friend die recently? Are you at an important time in your life, like young adulthood? All people can subconsciously hear the spirit world. Meditation can help you hear more clearly.

I heard a voice calling to me one time 2 years ago while I was in bed, it was a young girl type voice, and I kind of regret not talking back since I have an interest in /x/ stuff. But my natural instincts were telling me not to.
Could've just been in my head

I used to have sleep paralysis and watched shadow people walk around my room as a kid. I still have some PTSD from the choking feeling of trying to scream for my dad and only being able to just barely push out a whisper

Sleep Paralysis can be pretty rough. I had it at least twice a night (falling asleep and waking up) for years. As soon as I got used to it it stopped. Though, I have a lot of bad memories waking up to a giant spider or wasp landing on my face - the hallucination lasted a few seconds even after getting up so sometimes I was so unsettled I had to move to another room.

After that stop I talked in my sleep for a while and just had extremely vivid sometimes lucid dreams. In my late teens it became vivid nightmares of grey aliens testing me with symbolic situational riddle games and shit like that or the the government at my door (what a surprise, that's when I started using EerieWeb) and I screamed a LOT in my sleep in those years. Nowadays my sleep is fine. I've been afflicted with serious insomnia my whole life though. That I haven't been able to fix (insomnia meds frick up my headspace)

Yeah, sleep issues tend to come in batches. I was a big sleep talker in my early life. In summer camp I had a dream where I was a toddler again, and the kids in my room recorded a conversation with me in my sleep talking like a baby - very embarrassing.

It wasn't until my mid 20s that I stopped having insomnia and stopped dreaming altogether. Turns out that fixing it was a matter of fixing other things in my life.

I do have a lot of current life stressers which are sadly unavoidable at least for the next year. Hopefully when those are cleared up I can finally have a normal peaceful rest

When I was 17 or so I would play guitar in my basement at night into head phones. Sometimes I would record and go back and listen. When I listened back sometimes I would hear someone saying my name. Wild shit.
