    Possibly.

Once, I think last November, I was walking outside a Joann's craft store at dusk when the whole world was blue. For a split second, I thought I saw this weird, messed up, dead dog, that was the color bane and had skin pulled tightly across its bones. A split second later, I saw the beam of light from a window in its place.

This looked similar to an entity I had seen years before in a dream. In that dream I remember coming downstairs a seeing a huge dog that was mostly a yellowish skeleton, with a gross wrinkly organ from its mouth to pelvis. I think my mom was playing with the beast. Seeing this beast made me feel pity, as it should not be alive and surely must be suffering, but I thought more and wondered who was I to judge if it was worthy of life?

These entities weren't identical. The one in the dream was very large (like picrel) while the illusion in real life was rather small, larger than a miniature schnauzer, maybe like a 20 to 40 pound dog. The dream one was more skeletal. But they have a similarity: Both are undead dogs, and thus have a similarity to the Aztec god of death, Xolotl.

Nope, and I've died before. Didn't have any visions or see anyone; just got put under and woke up weeks later. Don't know how to feel about it to be honest.

Every living being on earth is the entity of death, as we all witness each other dying and will see it unil we die ourselves. Isn't all that we cling to and everything we have destined to end, too?

    Yes, here's a drawing I made, from a vision I had.
I was using Syrian Rue, which has the same effects as Ayahuasca, mixed with mushrooms.
I've met Holy Death a handful of time using that combination.

I saw someone die in an emergency room from a massive blood clot in their lung. I didn't see the entity with the robe and scythe.

often appears to me as a black hooded man with an obscured face or an ouright skeleton. he was not caring a scythe.

never really carried a fun conversation with the man. it was more or less under unpleasant circumstance borne out of hot blood between me and Hades as Gods. Me being JHVH, him being Hades and prophesied to go to hell, Charybdis was very quick to come to his aid.

When I was around my ex gf's grandad as he was nearing death, I could see a figure in the corner of the room. It was all in black and hooded, like the traditoinal representations of the 'reaper' character. Grandad could see it and he kept saying, 'he's here, that fella, he's come,' but his family couldn't see anything and told him he was imagining it.

The figure was still, and didn't move from moment to moment. I tried to interact with it but it ignored me. It just kept pointing towards grandad as if it had its attention on him. There was no sense of malice from the figure, but when I tried to talk to it I got a feeling of seriousness and focus from it, like it wouldn't be messed about with.

Over a couple of days as grandad was sitting in the same place in the room, it moved across the room towards him. As it did it seemed to fade and I couldn't see it so strongly. Then grandad got taken into a hospice and I couldn't see the figure in that room. He died about three or four days later.

I know someone who is sensitive and she described seeing the same figure in a hospital.

      And as with this description

I couldn't see a face, it was just dark.

Can confirm, the grim reaper stereotype is based on the actual thing.
