Glitch in the Matrix

Many years ago I witnessed a couple arguing by a capital city river late at night, the couple were meant to head to the airport to travel to italy to meet the girlfriends parents but due to an argument she told him he cant come anymore, the guy managed to grab her passport off of her and then some guys intervened and started chasing the guy, he ran over to the river and said to the guys, if you come any closer im throwing the passport in the river, they came closer and he threw it, it flew deep into the middle of the large river in the dark of night (3 am) and the guys beat him up...5 minutes later a delivery truck pulled up and a guy got out and said he found a passport and it was the passport belonging to the girl.

I have thought about this so much for years and it doesnt make any sense whatsoever, i saw it flying into the middle of the river, it was gone, forever...until this truck driver pulls up with the passport, it doesnt make any sense, turns out that action saved their relationship because if she didnt make her flight no doubt theyd of been toast there and then.

how the hell can this be explained, the city was dublin and the river was the river liffey and it was about 4 in the morning

yeah if you actually saw the thing fly into the water it doesn't make any sense, just one of those things you'll never truly understand

it floated in the river and the truck driver got it

that's plausible with divine intervention, it's a huge river splitting the city requiring bridges to cross, unless he saw it thrown in, jumped out and some how it floated over to the side perfectly for him to get it i just cant imagine it not to mention barring street lights it was pitch black and there's no lights in the river

Pic is the river nearby bridge where i witnessed this happen, this is during the day time and as you can see there isn't any "easy" way to retrieve it

Was it a glitch, or was this thing specifically designed to frick with any (or a certain) onlooker? I know this sounds crazy, but I have experienced very strange things that could only be some kind of glitch or a set up. And which is more likely really? I know it might sound mad that people would specifically do something strange like this, but some people out there seem to be attempting to drive some of us to madness on purpose.

This isn’t crazy at all. Gangstalkers put on what has been called “street theater” to mess with their targets. This could’ve been such an instance

It sounds like it could have been such an incident, and I think all this simulation shit is getting pushed so that people like OP are more likely to doubt their own reality than the people in charge who are actually fricking with us.

This remind me of a time I had business in a small town. Couldn't sleep so I went exploring on my own at night on a near full moon. I wasn't staying in the actual town so everything was dead quiet, just me, a fresh breeze and a calm river. Then all of a sudden a man in an anorak pops out of a bush on the other bank and asks me for the time. I tell him it is 3am. He thanks me and walks of away from the river.
Once back again I look where exactly on a map i came across him. There is no town for miles and no bridge either. I never did figure oit why a frown man was sitting in a bush at 3am 15 miles from the nearest town. Why did he need to know the time. Where did he head afterwards? One of the weirdest encounters of my life.

He accidentally threw his own passport, or maybe on purpose to frick with her. She dropped hers before

no it was definitely hers, i was with a group of myself and 2 other girls consoling her after the incident hence i know somewhat the details, the dude got the shit kicked out of him but kept getting up and coming back at the group of brazilian guys who attacked him, my girlfriend spoke with her on facebook a few weeks later & she confirmed they were still together & that the boyfriend whilst elated has no explanation for it either, he went on to join her in italy a few days later and no reports of him losing his own passport

It's actually funny that you mentioned that because he used a similar sort of ruse to actually get her passport, he told her he has her passport and that she has his, she said , no i have mine and he said no you dont, take a look, its actually mine, then when she took it out to look he snatched it off her lol

Yeah, i reckon it was still his. They might have actually swapped by accident and not known. Maybe drugs were involved.

well all i know is i saw him throw the passport in the river & no mention of him losing his own passport in follow up conversations via facebook, plausible but i dont think so, also he had both passports in his posession when he snatched hers because he took his out and said look ive actually got your passport to induce her into taking hers out so he could take it so at that point he was in posession of both...i dont know man its melted my mind for years, one of the only few experiences ive ever had where it just doesnt make sense

Oh, so you know both these people? You phrased it like you were watching strangers from a distance.

If that's the case then you either have time travel or something even fricking weirder at play

No I don't know them personally, myself my gf & and a friend observed it & we consoled the girl after and brought her back to our hotel to wait a few hours before she could take a taxi to the airport, my girlfriend and her exchanged facebooks and spoke a few times after the incident, 100% something weird at play

He probably tossed in while running away and the driver saw it and picked it up. How else would he have known who to return it to, unless he knew it was involved with the guys in the chase?

And you saw him throw the passport in the water, or throw something? He could've thrown anything, or even his own passport. He'd have been panicked with an ass kicking imminent, so adrenaline might've been messing up his thinking. "UHH, G-GET BACK OR... ILL THROW IT!"

If you can clarify who exactly the driver initially spoke to and/or handed the passport to I can figure closer to the heart of the thing.

I definitely saw him throw the passport in the water, what happened is, when he took the passport off the girl, these guys ran up and jumped him, beat him up a bit and then went over to the girl, the guy got up and started walking away, then the girl shouted " he still has my passport!!" then the guys started running towards him again, he ran over to the railings at the side of the river, pulled out the passport & told the guys " if you come any closer im going to throw it" they kept inching towards him so he said "frick it then" and he threw it, i saw it flying towards the middle of the river, he tried to evade but they jumped him again and started stomping on him, at this point myself, my gf & friend are trying to console the visibly distraught girl, seeing how we can help etc, then a few minutes later, a truck pulls up next to us from a side road, not main road we were on and hands the girl her passport, so he some how knew it was hers...this was just minutes after it happened.

we saw him with both the passports & then we saw him throw one in the river, there was never any indication he threw his own in and according to reports he is as confused as i am about how the passport was retrieved, whilst obviously happy as he went on to join her a couple days later in italy

Well to be fair he did appear to be the bad guy in the situation & it seemed more on her to stop the guys, i got the sense he put it on her to call them off so he wouldnt throw the passport but she didnt, think they argued earlier in the night but both passports were at his house so she pretended everything was okay and once she retrieved her passport she told him to go frick himself basically, which caused him to act how he did.. i respect how he handled himself afterwards he kept coming at the brazilian guys and challenging them to 1v1's saying they fricked if they ever walk around streets of dublin in ireland again and shouldnt be attacking nationals in a country they are not from etc... wasnt really in my capacity to intervene, i too was just visiting on holidays

The last i saw of him he was following the group who attacked him who were trying to get away from him at this point, the girls in their group were telling the guys not to fight him 1v1 and one tried to hit him with something from behind which he avoided and tried to get the guy who actually ran back towards the group, brazilian group were a bunch of cowards, its true what they say about the fighting irish he was like a terminator lol, wonder if he ever caught up to them, that night or another, id say they were concerned after that more than him

so basically, in this crude drawing, he threw it from the side there, into the river, then the truck pulled up from the road behind him and driver got out with the passport, there is a one way system so if he did retrieve it from river it would make sense he would approach from here as he'd have to drive down main road and loop around to the side adjacent road

well then the driver also saw from a distance, waited for the passport to float down to him, retrieved it and drove over??

          Anonymous

yeah its plausible but just seems so unlikely, as you can see from the pics, there's no easy access point into the water, let alone odds of him locating it in the darkness and it floating towards him so he could retrieve it and then have driven around in such a short timespan, possible but just seems mindboggling, its a flowing river with a strong enough current many have drowned in it, also other than street lights it was pitch black, even if that's what happened it must be miniscule odds of that working out the way it did, we were all flabbergasted when it was returned

            >just seems so unlikely

More unlikely than there being two copies of her passport? More unlikely than a guardian angel and divine intervention? More unlikely than time travel?

Right now, the most logical explanation anyone can give you is that he fished it out from the river. Who knows, maybe his truck was carrying a thousand telescopic fishing nets.

Yeah you're right, the most likely explanation I can think of is that he saw the situation & some how retrieved it, just seems a million to one shot given how it all played out.

was the passport wet? i dont think there is much more that matters

was the passport wet? i dont think there is much more that matters

This I don't know, I saw her with the passport, looking through it and breaking down in relief that it was okay and that she had retrieved it, wish id done further investigating in hindsight but there was a lot going on and our main focus was on aiding her out of the situation

yeah barring them two, our group & the group of brazilian guys who intervened it was dead quiet, between 3 & 4 am on a week night, as far as i was concerned there was no chance anyone else particularly a driver would have seen and been able to intervene, none of us saw a truck passing & stopping on the main road

“Guardian angel” story it seems like. So many similar stories out there. This one is interesting. Withholding someone’s passport/keeping them from their family is textbook abusive/controlling behaviour btw. Seems like her guardian angel was saving her from him.
