Eternal Life

What is the true path to eternal life?
It seem that most religions believe that we will be annihilated into the source or God, a form of death. Even the esoteric core of Christianity and Islam believe this.
Only a few systems like Zoroastrianism, Jainism, and the Left Hand Path desire eternal individuality and therefore true eternal life.

You and your wife are returned to youth and virginity in Heaven. If you did not have an earthly wife you are given a heavenly wife who is untouched by any man. That's all, everything else written about sex in heaven is not from the Quran, it's from the hadiths.

The number of hadiths aren't important, they just need to be fact checked with the Quran, and even earlier scriptures.

“ Two exceptions I can think of immediately, though:
Zoroastrianism (dualism with no reconciliation), and contemporary Setianism (it's basically about breaking away from the unity of the natural world and strengthening one's individualism - even though that of course at least should lead to more unity within oneself).”

    >It seem that most religions believe that we will be annihilated into the source or God, a form of death.
And you can see how that's bullshit by 1 simple realization - if you become joined with God then it implies you aren't already. It implies that right now you're separate.

The true teaching of oneness is that it's not something you become, it's what you already are... And this means that the true nature of oneness is utterly bizarre beyond human comprehension.
And it also means that what you know as "individuality" is a PART of what true oneness is, and therefore there's no reason it has to cease.

Any path to true oneness will be a path of SELF discovery. And when you know your own Self you will know the Self of others.
I'm pretty sure that every spiritual tradition or philosophy that teaches you to give up your self, or teaches you that seeking oneness means opposing everything about what comes from within you (like suppressing desire and crap like that) are deceptions. Those teachings come from darkness and ignorance. That's why they're mainstream.
The darkness likes to mimic the light, but through an inverted way of seeing it so it takes you in the opposite direction of the truth.

Based and this pilled. The "you" that you have realized so far is a subset of the bigger you. There's no "becoming one", there's just increasing that self realization so the subset grows to realize the superset it already is. The subset will always be a part of the superset.

If psychology doesn't interest you then call it the soul instead of the ego, in mystic models it's regarded as the same by definition. Even in buddhism they don't give up their individuality, that is a conflated myth developed in the west, and that's because individuality isn't placed in the soul or ego, but in the spirit or awareness.

Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven."

    > René Guénon (1886-1951) was a French metaphysician, writer, and editor who was largely responsible for laying the metaphysical groundwork for the Traditionalist or Perennialist school of thought in the early twentieth century. Guénon remains influential today for his writings on the intellectual and spiritual bankruptcy of the modern world, on symbolism, on spiritual esoterism and initiation, and on the universal truths that manifest themselves in various forms in the world’s religious traditions. His writings on Hinduism and Taoism are particularly illuminating in this latter regard.

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

There's another thread like this one so you must be the same homosexual. Christianity and Islam don't believe that, they believe in eternal life, what are you smoking?

Also i can't think of a single tradition that talks about merging with a source while also worshiping death as a desirable dynamic, i can already guess which ones you'd name (if any) and i'm ready to prove you wrong. Funny though, cause the ones who actually seek eternal life are actual death cults (christianity, islam).

Not only that, if you'd bother to study these models you've mentioned as seeking eternal life, you'd know they also consider that "dissolution" is inescapable. So in other words, everything you've assumed is wrong.

    What is “eternal life”?

Do you mean an eternally continuous consciousness? If so, what about sleep; would you never truly dream again? Have you experienced being awake and continuously lucid for a week - if so what did you learn about sleep?

Do you mean that you will always eventually wake into a conscious reality no matter what, like an infinite transmigration of the soul? If so, would you only restrict your domain of existence to time and space? What if there was “more” that you did not know about?

Many wish to enter heaven. None know what heaven is. There are holes in the veil of death if you know where to look.
