It's not a detriment to spirituality, but it SHOULD be a starting point to realizing this realm is only suffering.

if youre ok with eating meat, but get mad at people that eat dog, you quite literally worship dogs. Dont Hindus worship cows and get angry when Christians or israelites eat beef? there is an entire israelitetube channel dedicated to morons flying to China to rescue stupid mutts from being eaten and they are so proud of themselves and so rightious. Dog worship is rampant in the west, why is that never brought up on this board?
Dogs are deities to the common westerner, they cant stand to see a dog in pain, and equate caring for them with being a good person, just the same as obedience to God hundreds of years ago automatically meant you were good.

Why do people talk about the problem like it's something else?

The problem is animal suffering. It's not about eating meat.
You just come to the conclusion that it's about eating meat because you associate it with animal suffering.

That association is how the Matrix binds you. It uses parts of your reality that it already has control over to take control of more parts of your reality, by getting you to associate disconnected things and treat them like they're the same.

Meat is not alive. Meat does not suffer. Meat does not contain suffering. Meat does not even really exist. It's just a form. An unreal form that the Matrix is trying to use to control what's real.
The real problem has absolutely nothing to do with meat whatsoever. The problem is suffering and lack of freedom. Which is the same root of every single problem that exists in this fallen world.

Well...it served our human ancestors plenty in the human evolution process.

If they chose to remove all types of animal-based foods and replace them with Synthetic foodstuffs then I'd be all for it.

This makes me wonder why they haven't made moves to do just that.

Synthetically made food that would stimulate further beneficial evolutionary traits for generations after.

This is true, industrial meat comes out of Satanic Hell Mills. Enlightened souls always prefer to eat plants. Eating meat is not evil in and of itself, where survival and necessity meet with compassion and gratitude, then all is as it should be.

Animals are our friends, and God said part of their duty is to feed us, rather than see humans starve, so they are even kinder and gentler than we thought. We should love them that will lay down for our life.

How exactly do you achieve this though if hunting is not an option or at all feasible and plants cause you health issues.

        Anonymous

nta but you should starve to death.
If someone else was dying of organ failure you'd expect them to just die instead of murdering you to steal your organ and save their own life.

Humans are never called to give up their health or vitality to sustain another. Mothers are called to breastfeed, Fathers are called to sleep on cold floors and let children have the bedding. That kind of sacrifice is Highest Good.

A father asking a western surgeon to harvest his organs to satisfy the arguments of a philosopher is nothing but Confused Evil and it should sicken us to even imagine it.

Do not confuse my point, I do not hate animals or call them worthless. I love then and wish to care for them, but I am not so stupid as to think a cow's life can ever have more significance than a human's. WE are higher. Not Highest, not even High. But WE lord over them, and should be kind and gentle lords.

I think by feed us it is meant that we are to partake in the milk and egg abstain from the flesh. Just my thoughts.

Yes, I think we humand should seek a future without animal slaughter, but we are a long ways from that, or even imagining it. That would be a totally different system of industrial ag and probably a different international trade system.

In the meanwhile the world's poor often have to hunt, scavenge etc. and God does not mind this at all. I think even the "spirit" of the animal accepts it, out of love for the human who is closer to the Divine. In the meanwhile the corpo overlords have made McDonald's a necessity for some. Such conditions of economic depravity do not allow one to reach a higher consciousness of animal intellect. We forgive all the working poor and those in traditional societies (Traditional meat production is nowhete near the horror of mass production, and traditional ethics of animals evolved with that low output model, and are applied with confusion to the New Horror Meat)

I am willing to agree. I have worked as a trucker and while I have never hauled livestock I have seen the livestock haulers at truck stops and seeing those animals confined to a giant metal trailer in blistering heat with their destination being a slaughterhouse made me disgusted at being an American. I will leave this cursed and doomed society begins to wander the mountains and I will put all my trust and faith in God above to sustain me, or I will perish, but in either case I no longer want to be alive if survival means such inhuman treatment of our fellow living creatures. May God have mercy on our souls for participating in such atrocity.

I went from average American meat consumer, to locally raised and hunting only, to just occasionally fishing with a vegetarian and backyard chicken egg only diet.
I did notice it increase my sense of peace, and I also feel less conflicted now that I'm trying to live more in line with what I know to be right.

I did try going completely vegan for a while, and even with rigorous nutritional tracking, I experienced memory issues. So I'm not sure we can fully disconnect from the need for at least eggs and fish.

Do not let this distract you from the fact that Indian men have less grip strength than a Polish women and have engaged in veganism for millennia.
Veganism leads to a society of subhuman, immoral low iq bugmen that eat and spread like a motile life infection, no different than the very cattle they idolize.
The predator is like natures immune system more than anything. Herbivores SHOULD die.

Vegans usually self insert as the (inhuman) animal. Most of them consider themselves equal to a factory farmed pig which they anthropomorphize. Which is their perogative. I just think no one else should be obligated to live like them. And they usually have this moronic habit of projecting their own morality onto you, as if its objective, in hopes of getting you to admit a sin of some kind.

Yes veganism is an artificial state of being.

They're not "prey animals" if you're breeding them in captivity for their meat.
