Dream Interpretation

I have a lot of dreams where I am navigating unfamiliar public transportation, usually an airport or train station. I often almost miss or miss the transportation.

What does this mean?

Do you feel dissatisfied with how things are turning out in your life or do you often feel that what you're doing isn't sufficient or fulfilling? Maybe you should work harder and concentrate more on the things and activities that you already have in your life.

In other words, instead of always chasing after the schedule of an unfamiliar form of transportation, you should try getting in the habit of taking the same route or just staying home if you're constantly feeling rushed or too late

Hmm I wonder what this would mean in the context of my life. Focusing on the basics, I suppose.

I moved a ton while growing up and in early adulthood, and I have had a relatively crazy life. I almost never feel settled and safe. I have a solid set of friends here I probably don't spend enough time with. I'm in my head too much, always trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong, fretting.

Committing to a certain routine or habit can seem boring or frustrating at times, but if you adjust to a consistent and long-term routine, it can give a stronger feeling of control over your life, and you can have a steadier and more reliable way of getting to the things you want. Maybe you should examine your working life or your hobbies

My working life is okay, though not perfect. I'm trying to get used to not quitting jobs once things aren't going ideally. This is the chillest one I've had so far and I'm trying to stay in it for at least a year or two.

My school is causing me a good deal of stress because of technology problems submitting my assignments. They cause me hours of grief weekly and sometimes the teacher stills says she doesn't see everything on her end after all the effort. Seeing a bad grade gives me a near heart attack. I also have an upcoming in-person meetup for this program which to date has only been online. I'm very nervous to meet my professors.

My hobbies are somewhat fulfilling, but there's only so much I can do with them without a lot more money. I'm going up against large, powerful special interest groups and the people who are organized are mostly super old and/or all over the country. Getting together protests with a bunch of poor and disabled people against powerful interests is going to be tough.

I do often feel dissatisfied. I feel like I'm doing all I can and still not getting the returns I want, especially romantically and financially.

I usually spend most of the dream wandering around the unfamiliar place trying to make it on tome, feeling out of place and behind everyone else. Almost like imposter syndrome but in travel.

Does sleep inertia impact dreams? It's always been a struggle for me to wake up, because all of my dreams feel like I'm right on the cusp of something, and so right when I wake up, I'll be on autopilot, and turn off all my alarms, to try to keep dreaming.

... I've had deja Vu way more often than anyone else in my family and they've all been dream based, from several years prior. I don't know how many dreams I've had that I remember, that are just deja vu waiting to happen.

Maybe my issue is I'm trying to force my dreams to tell me something?

I used to have these a lot before, usually some airport transfer that i dont make.
it stopped after i left university though, i guess i "arrived".

Is this a dream interpretation thread now or? I have one recurring one that I would love some input on, but dont want to hijack your thread

what is your opinion about not remembering dreams? (and knowing for sure i had them, i even have deja vus during the day about the dreams but they are very abstract because the actual memories dont come up)

Most dreams aren't worth remembering anymore than the 3 hours of youtube a night you watch aren't worth remembering. Your brain is undergoing a rest period and is processing old information. Most old information isn't worth recalling, and so you don't. Your brain actively filters information even when you are awake. If you were aware of every single sensation at one moment, you would be overwhelmed by sensory overload. That's why you don't think about how your toes feel touching the socks in your shoes, or why you don't think about your breathing, or why you don't feel your eyelids flutter, etc. All that information is there, but mostly useless, so why keep track of it? Therefore, your brain doesn't focus on it unless you actively choose to do so.

Same thing with dreams. You can force yourself into lucid dreaming, but most lucid dreams will still be chaotic since it's semi-consciously rolling through an information dump. You're focusing on your eyelids fluttering.

It means you are confused about your life and are unsure about the decisions you are making. That's obvious.

I'm walking a dog on a beach. I can't remember the breed of dog. The sky is low and cloudy, it's windy but not unpleasant. All along the beach there are doors, dozens of doors, all in the water. The kind of doors you'd find in beautiful mansions of a historic european downtown. Wooden doors framed in masonry. They don't seem to be symbolic doors, because the back is walled up as if to contain a narrow room.

The purpose of these doors escapes me, but some of them are open and reveal a function that is trivial : there's fishing gear inside, boats, oars, fishing nets, ect. Some are furnished with shelves.

Others have no doors at all (just masonry) and are wide open, empty.

But most are closed, without locks or handles.

The atmosphere is gloomy, but I feel no threat. Eventually I leave the beach and head back inland. Then nothing.

Last couple of weeks I have for the first time the northern lights in my dreams. Again and again.
