Do we go to hell for our internet troll posts?

Do we go to hell for our internet troll posts? I tend to keep my hateful remarks only for people in positions of authority and power, but sometimes I broke and hurt people directly, people who didn't deserve it. It haunts me some nights. I feel like a lot of it is because we didn't evolve for the internet. We evolved for social encounters. It makes us all incredibly cruel, and the human animal is pretty sensitive. It is a deadly fricking combo.

No. The worst that can happen to a somehow normal human is a rebirth as a rat.

Thats a nice prayer and shows repentence. I never really made comments i can tell were particularly wrong but i hurt a couple kids in school and i meditated and prayed on that quite a bit. I also hurt some animals before when i was going crazy but i do not feel like its me. Very sad about that

    You're growing as a person.

Acting like a bratty internet troll is residual toxic behavior left over from childhood and highschool.
People have it even in the workplace, in adulthood who never use EerieWeb.

It's a kind of cognitive dissonance, to know you're two-faced but you want to do good in the world.
So what are you going to do?

To reduce all of this life to one giant test of how slaving you are willing to be and then suppressing all human emotions out of fear of being tortured..

you raise a good point. what are we being redeemed to being exactly? we are already human albeit sinners. when we're redeemed are we "good"? is then, what you are describing, "good" since that is what we'd become? it doesn't stand to reason

Well, ultimately in the Christian sense redemption is hollowing yourself out and becoming like Jesus, sport. You’re meant to become as slave fully embodying your master. This life then is intended as basically a giant test for the other - and you must deny all that makes us human, all pleasures and emotions and self-actualization. You view the negative points of life as of demons or the devil and a torturous thing to be avoided, instead of yet another facet of human life. The Greeks made beauty out of tragedy, the Christian line of thinking ultimately leads to assisted suicide.

But I digress, then in the next life for the obedient Christian.. it’s an extension of this. But in heaven it’s said none will even conceive of disobeying God, and some theologians put it as essentially eternal spiritual intercourse with God. So for the Christian who obeys it’s a lobotomy of the will and eternal pseudo-sexual submission to God. And of course, for those who disregard the rules they instead are tortured..
In any case, this is the problem with Abrahamics. They don’t actually *like* life. They hate life. They only like the parts of simple, ignoble, mild pleasures and content themselves on it, like cows chewing grass mindlessly in a field. And that is their ideal of humanity.

Depends on your intention. I know of people that will experience a hell of sorts for their internet activity. Being angry and vicious is one thing. Trolling someone to death? Extortion? Psychological torture?

Yeah, that will get you mandatory forced empathy course. And no court in the universe can save you from that.

This is why the Abrahamic religions are stupid. You end up with people believing they will be tortured for eternity for calling someone online a homosexual. What an utterly waste of life, if it must be spent policing yourself so.

In my opinion hell is a state of mind as long as you learned from your mistakes and do not condemn yourself to those actions then you are karmically absolved.

I try not to be mean when I'm on here anymore, because I know we all have bad days and for a lot of people on here that can be most days and I don't wanna add on to it. I avoid escalating incendiary statements, I generally avoid responding to posts that are nothing but insults, I've even managed to salvage some discussions that started off as flame wars into something useful.
That said lately I've been relapsing and posting angry shit lately. I don't know if it's because I'm regressing or if I'm just at my limit with all the LARPers and fake spiritualists on here but I do still feel bad about it after the fact. I'm a little worried.
