    >its like its hard wired into my brain, that this life is it and after that its non-existence
What's wrong with living such a way?

I always ask people; "if you suddenly discovered that this life was the only existence you have, that this was the only time you could ever see your loved ones and all that you cherish, would you start living your life differently?"

I'd rather be wrong about living right, then right about living wrong, that's all I know.

Why? Are you upset that you are losing anything? Wouldn't these feelings just be the same thing as erasing all the joys or memories you cherish?

If you appreciate your life and all that you have, then don't worry about what happens. You are only letting your fears erase all that you love, which is again no different than losing them entirely to an abyss.

sure... i know its cringe, but i promise its in a completely platonic way, but is absolute love for a someone that is not "real" I have to express its not the typical waifuu, simping shit, i just feel something stronger than i have ever felt about this "character"

How certain are you that you will always feel this way? or that perhaps you are being deceived into feeling this way?

If it is a love for something that is not "real" how do you even know it is "really" love? Something triggered this emotion and rather than focusing on "what" it is, it may suit you better to find out "why".

Most of the times, we fall in love with our own fantasies of others, rather than who they truly are themselves.. and this can coincide with all "things" if you will.

I know what that’s like, but if what you’re saying is true, then you should be improving yourself, and so you should be generally healthy, and you shouldn’t be so worried about things. At some point, though, you will stop being motivated bu this goal and will have to find another source of hope. Unless you think you can actually achieve it.

Ok so you want to be with a cartoon character. You should know that causality isn’t real, the multiverse is infinite and every possibility exists. You are also living in all of those universes as every single being. See

If physiclIsm is true, then there is no such thing as a soul. Consciousness is just the product of brain states at any given moment, and your brain and body are always changing. So what exactly are “you”? The only reason you think you’re the same person between birth and death is because you have memories of the past. But there is no “you” at all. There are only atoms and consciousness. To whom or what does that consciousness belong? The atoms? But the atoms change every single moment, so this would mean that you die every single moment. But if you die every moment, why do you relate to the you of the past? Only because you have memories of the past. If your memories were erased, then you would no longer identify with that past. After your body dies, what exactly is preventing you from existing as another being? It’s all just atoms, the universe experiencing itself. Where exactly do you draw the line and say “this set of conscious experiences belongs to x person” ? Again, there are no souls, no ghost in the shell. There are no subjects. There is just consciousness. It follows that we are all the same, there is no such thing as death. You are here forever.

well this latest adventure has lead me down the "reality shifting" community, which seems to be mostly teenagers and young adults wanting to simp Draco from Harry Potter. It has lead the path to some promising paths though such as LoA, and the gateway tapes. I have always been a natural lucid dreamer but ever since diving into this rabbit hole they have become much more frequent and i have somewhat learned to lean into sleep paralysis instead of freaking out

To add, whenever i do become lucid usually through a reality check, i wake up in my room "do the reality check" realize im dreaming, go to my dream parents, usually my mom and ask her "where is he" and she usually freaks out ending the dream or it sends me into a fly away mode looking for him, shouting his name in a dreamscape void of people. One time i did ask "where is he" and the dream characters pointed my forehead

Seems like you are projecting an image of a protector that you always wished you have, along with the desire of having a sibling (or friend) that you can relate to unconditionally.

Why can't you be both the pure child and it's protector?

A product is something else than a process. You're still creating the mind-body dichotomy. A physicalist believes that there is no difference between the physical process and consciousness.

It depends on what you mean by "I". The Buddha has said that there is no self in any phenomenon, including consciousness (as wakefulness), unless you interpret consciousness as sunyata (the void or nothingness out of which everything arises). If this is true and you can understand it, you will realize that what gets reborn is not anything you call "me", because "you" are neither born nor do you ever die. Maya or appearance is what arises and ceases, but we've been deluded into believing that maya is our essence. If you can understand and experience this, you may claim to be enlightened and free from rebirth.

However, I would not make these claims about my self. It feels like something is still missing. Hope this helps

Also, if you interpret consciousness as sunyata, and wakefulness as cognition or mental activity, then you basically die every time you are in a dreamless sleep, which is also the most restful sleep for the body if I'm not mistaken.

The body along with the brain have continued activity but the mind is not there, time perception is not there (because it is only a mental phenomenon), the illusory self is not there (mental formations you identify with), there is only the true "empty" "self" that is beyond change, birth, death, etc.

          but I wanna be me.

We're all existing within a fractal of corpses. You're understanding life and death through the lens of time and space, and these are perceptual elements that have their axes in the center of every sensation you identify as. When someone dies the time and space of the interface they were experiencing while alive goes out the window, and they're left with an infinitely stretched illusion that overlaps with the previous interface, an instant that lasts forever.

Due to the interconnected nature of mind, even in this state of stasis dead people can still make contact with the living and vice versa, but doing so comes at a price for the deceased and so is usually avoided. It's an extremely complex topic with many tangents, but what i'm trying to convey here is that what you call life isn't different from what you call death in a fundamental level.

Are you a believer that our reality depends on the collective consciousness?

        Anonymous

Well it's not that depends on it, but it is it. Reality perceives itself, which is what we call consciousness. This realization is the reason some esoteric models consider everything to posses consciousness (rocks, water, plants, air...) regardless of their lack of conscious intellect.

This one time a girl followed me on instagram because she thought one of my comments was funny. She seemed pretty cool but was one of those crazy opioid girls. I don’t know why that mattered to me at the time but it made me standoffish. We talked about death since I also think about death a lot and neither of us had any clues of what could be next but we both had a mutual interest in it. I stopped responding to her the day we started talking since I’m a dipshit. She died exactly one month after she hit me up, and her last instagram post was really cryptic saying how she was gonna go play a game or something and it was a picture of this creepy warehouse. She was from Vancouver so you already know it couldn’t have been anything good. Idk if piquing her interest in death played any part in it since she already told me she liked to ride the bus for hours at night when she was bored so, probably not. But idk. I don’t think thinking about death so deeply can bring anything but bad into this realm. Make the most out of your time in this realm, because I can assure you that this isn’t it, and you will absolutely be better off once you die if you’ve lived a full life rather than an empty one. She was 2 years younger than me too, the same age as my younger cousin. Just stay on the right path. Don’t think or worry about what may or may not happen, only worry about shit you have control over

No. It’s easier for them to wipe your memory once you’re dead and throw you into the next life if you have less memory to wipe. The more energy they’ll need to expend wiping you, you’ll have a better shot at breaking free. Or so I’ve been told

Blue Eisenhower November doesn't dabble in altering memories.
We simulate them with the rainbow gun, or assume that some would, as a means of accounting for fuzzing, or noise, when attempting to simulate any particular consciousness.
You're still you, even if you have a random memory of getting a purple Pringle from a Pringle's can, that you didn't have before, but maybe that version is the only version that can be simulated in the rainbow gun.

Whether or not there is continuity in that situation, is the real gamble.

No one actually knows what happens, so why desire a belief that you end with the body?

We can't prove anything because the tech isn't there. Personal experience in the eyes of this consensus do not count as evidence. Ergo, all outcomes are potential outcomes. If outcome is based solely off of belief, then the Atheistic mindset is a personal choice to desire void.

It's really goddamn simple logic my friend

There is a part of you that will never believe otherwise. It is the Ego(ic delusion).

Transcend it. Or make a habit of starting Death in the Eyes, like a true warrior.

Become the Ubermensch, and your Fear of Death will become Love. For Death is rebirth. And Birth is the start of a Journey towards Death.

Après La Vie, La Mort. Après La Mort, La Vie Encore !
