Creepy phone call incidents stories

'Call from 666'(not my story)

"I got called by 666 when i was high outside of a nightclub, chilling with friends. I showed it to other people they have seen the caller ID and i took the call. Literally someone talked to me and told me "he will come for me, he waited for me for 2000years, he will besiege me this time. Im already dead" in a dissembodied voice but not in way like its foolish, its sounded really bad. I told them or who ever it was "go and burn in hell, were you already are, god send me and you will not intimidate me". Then he hung up...

Not joking. Dont even know how its possible to call you with a 666 caller ID. And if its possible i dont know anyone who could have pulled this off or even tried so at 7 or 8am on a sunday"

Do you anons have any true stories about creepy phone calls you or others have received?

Thanks in advance as always!!!

Well, let's say I got a call from someone close to me, so I knew what type of a call to expect
However, the moment they started speaking, their voice had this weird robotic echo to it, how I would describe it, is that it was "metallic" and monotone and slower than how they usually spoke

When I said something, their responses were slow and slurred as if I was listening to a recording at half the speed, their answers were completely sound and reasonable, but it was like speaking to an entirely different entity, just hearing the voice gave me goosebumps.
I talked for a short while and then told them that there was something wrong with the call, I hung up, called them again and their voice was back to normal and at normal speed.

This was way before there was any sort of AI voice technology and I've never experienced or heard that type of voice anywhere else throughout my lifetime, no voice filter can mimic the eerie tinge I heard that day.

IDK if this is too personal, but how long ago was that? Did they remember what you spoke about when you called back? Also, what do you think it was that was mimicking their voice?

            Anonymous

at least over 10 years ago, I don't remember if we spoke about anything that crucial before I called again, nothing worth "remembering", I don't know whether it was mimicking or something else, it was just really weird and unsettling, don't know about evil.

This isn't that weird. I'm guessing people are so used to texting nowadays that they just don't do calls often enough to run into stuff like that often, so might get confused when it happens, but it's not rare if you talk on the phone a lot.

I only use my phone for calls, I send maybe like 10 texts per year, I haven't had another incident like that after

Hm. Weird, I've had it happen a lot. Admittedly much less so nowadays than back when landlines were common, but still enough to where when you described it, I was like, "Oh, that shit". It's always solvable with a quick disconnect and callback, just like you experienced.

      >I'm afraid to call them back
Research shows that 90 percent of Gen Z are anxious about speaking on the phone, and some say an awkward phone call is one of the top three things they would want to avoid in life.

"I do get a little bit anxious," said 23-year-old Destiny Quesadilla, of Biggs Dix Hills. "It's a lot of effort to pick up a phone and talk all the time."

One day while sitting on the toilet, i got what appeared to be another one of those Amazon Scam text. I always ignore the minor nuisance, but then, i got another text message saying "test1", then "testing did this go through?" right before a barrage of calls. I cut my phone off. Made my shit easier is all I can say.

    >Be asleep at 3AM in the morning
    >Home phone is near my bedside table
    >starts ringing, very odd since people rarely call anymore, never this early
    >don’t pick up, I’m so groggy from waking up I don’t know what is happening
    >Goes to voicemail, the phone plays the recording live
    >it’s an old lady whispering “help me” and then starts punching numbers into the dial
    >hangs up
    >Feel this really weird feeling that something is off
    >Call immediately back
    >old lady answers, asks if I can come help her. She is very insistent I come over.
    >I ask her what’s wrong. Where does she live.
    >She just gives me the address, it’s on the other side of town
    >Frick That. Call up police and inform them what happened
    >Go back to sleep, I got work tomorrow
    >Wake up, go to work, on way back check the address
    >Tons of cars are parked in driveway, see people wearing all black entering the home
    >Read obituary, apparently the old lady’s husband died that night
    >She must have been panicked and in shock called the wrong number and got me
    >Still think about it sometimes

You got pranked. 666 is generally a number to be feared but if you ask me it predicts a coming change in mentality or life style or sudden event. It’s almost like a trophy when you get a 666. Statisically you are likely to see a 666 at some point, and i think it’s interesting how you can forget the ones you’ve seen before during the journey to the next one. I don’t know anything about 666, all I know is Monster Energy, Louis Cypher address, 666 internet facts, mark of the beast, Satan, and edgy music.

Back when I was maybe like 8 or 9, I was hanging outside of this run down/out of business grocery store plaza-thing.
The payphone started ringing, so I answered it, and some random guy started talking to me, ends up asking me, "guess what I have in my hand?", Go figure he responds with "my penis".
I was just a dumb kid, so I thought it was a joke or something, and was kinda laughing about it, but he wasn't acting funny about it, and he ended up saying that he could see me, right now and stuff. (which the area did have apartments and stuff in view, where he probably very well was telling the truth)... so yeah, thankfully there was a couple other young kids there with me and I didn't get raped or abducted or something.
We left and I ended up telling my mom when I got home. She called the cops but I don't think anything ever came of it.
