Buy a book on Yaqui culture and compare it to his claims if you don't believe me

Do you suggest any in particular?

I would start with the first book, A Yaqui Way of Knowledge and then move on to The Art of Dreaming. The other books should be read in release order.
I was really into him in my teens but couldn't get a hold of any DMT to try out his philosophy myself

How is simple enough: books. Why? Best to find a shaman of the mexican tradition. They are all over. The books were bait for people with potential but Don Juan and Castaneda are no longer among the living.

At any rate one of Castaneda's students said that the books were partial fabrications with huge omissions because some knowledge was too far out for people to digest. An elaborate psy-ops by a tradition that uses deception at every step of the road.

By definition they say people are dumb and they need to be tricked. If you go for that, what does that make you?

Unironically, go to the /r/Castaneda subreddit. Do nightly open eye meditation in a pitch black room to move your assemblage point annd rebuild your energy body while doing Tensegrity and shift into heightened awareness. Reach Silent Knowledge as often as you can.

Even if a text is based on fictional experiences it can still be useful as a means of better understanding how people at a given time/place related to spiritual/occult concepts. The key is to understand the "normal" perspective from which the person wrote the text as not actually reflecting objective reality, but rather to itself be a magical enframing. The late 20th century postmodernist worldview positioned itself as this detached, fully self-aware observer of the entire historical process, who could rationally draw from & make use of previous spiritual position (whether this be through actually taking psychoactive substances or merely making up stories about what it would be like to do so). So if you read texts from this era with that in mind it becomes an interesting exercise in recognizing how that particular worldview operated, what its aims were, and the tools it used in order to recode other worldviews as merely being subsets/precursors of itself

If you want more sorcery then this site is a good reference imo.
    https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/nagual/
Discusses sorcery under the paradigm put forth by Carlos.

Imo, sorcery is real and it works, but perhaps some of the conclusions drawn by ancient traditions aren't accessible to us on a level that we can accurately understand.
Just my take on it is that sorcery uses angelic abilities to do things that humans can't conceptualize as possible through the utilization of the lightbody awareness and its interactions with the spiritual substrate of existence. Some sensations I have gotten are the feeling that I'm not really this body I'm more a focus of energy and I can project that focus of energy outwards and basically jump outside my body into space and directly perceive it as a consciousness, which basically means the internal imagination becomes colored with the full spectral intensity of 'real' light, except it can be dreamed into any configuration of existence possible to witness. The capability of awareness to perceive existence seems to be some kind of evolutionary imprint that the universe has imparted upon the etheric body over many lifetimes of experience. When you access the etheric body some of these capabilities come back into focus, and the possibilities for developing more advanced feats of psychic awareness through physical acts is also realized.
In this other space of sorcery you can meet spiritual entities from all across existence, as well as those who were here on earth before us. I searched all across the ancient world and found many secrets, but the gist of it was that all these secrets we seek are things we wrought upon existence from the soul, and so creation and discovery are one in the same.

      I like your interpretation, anon!
      >Some sensations I have gotten are the feeling that I'm not really this body I'm more a focus of energy and I can project that focus of energy outwards and basically jump outside my body into space and directly perceive it as a consciousness
Could you be describing astral projection?
      >The capability of awareness to perceive existence seems to be some kind of evolutionary imprint that the universe has imparted upon the etheric body over many lifetimes of experience.
Do you mean that our capability to perceive evolves over time? I think this capability might be outside of time, and we are always capable of accessing its full potential.

    Mexican and Yaqui here:

If anything Carlos said was true, he used it for the dark side after his master died.

The Yaqui aren't anything like how his books portray but at the same time they are. In the earlier 1900s they were all pushed out from their homes and forced to move further north, causing families to split and tons of orphans.

Three of those orphans were my grandma's.

Most of the true yaqui shamansims is related to gnostic beliefs, to s of law of attraction shit and your mind creates your reality shit.

The biggest thing that they have in the Castaneda books is "the art of stalking" basically a form of charisma magic. You can look like anyone and act like anyone and get whatever you want in life. Basically you realize life is a play and everyone is an actor so you learn to method act better to get your way. Shamans use it to get ehat they want, blend in, and avoid certain shit.

Come to the Sonora desert. Noagles/Tucson area. I know three shamans here. One works for the cartel and is well respected.

True magic would make you shit yourself. Most people aren't ready for that shit. Most of the shit on this boars is bullshit except for things like Goddards info but even that is misinterpreted because all you not mies still have the Christian programing and keep think outside that box even when you think you are. Everything is so polarized and stupid.

With that being said, thank God for you idiots
Makes it easier to get rich and have an epic life when 99% of people are completely moronic in comparison. We call you people useful idiots.

All you new age crystal holding weed smoking sage burning idiots are wasting your time.

The real work is when you realize reality is what it is. You can change anything about it besides your perspective of it. The magic comes with responsibility, hard work, and YEARS of discipline. Something all of you completely lack and will never get.

The man who gets everything is the man who wants nothing.

      Are Yaquis related to Wixarika/Huichol?
Are they a tribe that uses peyote

      > Most of the shit on this boars is bullshit except for things like Goddards info but even that is misinterpreted
      Can you explain this
      Why is Goddard the exception

How did he learn Kabbalah as a Christian

What makes him different from people like Abraham Hicks or Napoleon Hill

He claims to have learned it from an Ethiopian israelite named Abdullah whose existence is as dubious as it sounds. Neville was an active Rosicrucian for a while, so he most likely learned it from whoever he was grouped with. I dont know much about which sect he was with, just that he got tired of it and left. Then, Goddard decided it was time to write a book about what little cool shit he could learn. Same thing Castaneda did and what countless New Age authors do. Everyone wants to write a book.

            >What makes him different from people like Abraham Hicks or Napoleon Hill
IIRC Hicks puts a bunch limitations and caveats on manifestation, none of which exist. Havent touched his books in a long time. Hill is just grifter bullshit id say more but dont know more as I stopped reading "Think and Grow Rich" very quickly.

Don't bother expecting a reply he's clearly schizophrenic or drunk. But if I understand him correctly he basically believes real magic is /LoA/ shit, but thinks Neville Goddard is held back by his Christianity, as a Christian this sounds deluded since Neville Goddard literally believed he was God and LoA doesn't work anyway.

If fantasizing about something in first person was enough to get me laid I'd have been molested by my teacher when I was 12

So where does your spiritual lineage come from, if you had to guess? What sorts of myths or ancient beings did your people claim to know?
I as a western have a very limited understanding of native American shamanism and what you believe about how it works.
I do live here and dream here though, I've seen many things that appear to be connected to the ancient world here.
Do you believe you came here from somewhere else like another world or something? Basically who were your ancestors and where did you live before you were Yaqui?
Perhaps a better way to ask would be where do you believe your soul came from, or where do you experience remembering yourself from before you were on earth, if that is a thing to you?
