Can we bring back the medieval idea that Satan is an ugly fool? I'm sick of this clever and powerful Satan.

Can we bring back the medieval idea that Satan is an ugly fool? I'm sick of this clever and powerful Satan. He's a deceiver but he is fundamentally deceived himself. Making people believe good doesn't always win. Making people scared of him. What a joke.

Not all things outside of Christianity are evil and some things have depth meant to be understood.

      >Not all things outside of Christianity are evil
You won't get that into their heads. Abrahamic religions are some of the most effective mental compartmentalization measures ever devised.

Seems like all religions of some form are. It's the only way to understand the world sometimes.

Men become fixated on blood, it just is. We can only keep helping even if we are ever wiped out or tortured or worse. It's happened time and time again, it'll only happen again. It just is.

They’re 100% not all the same in that regard. The god of Abraham is an especially childish, jealous butthole. Plenty of other religions don’t demand nearly the same level of exclusivity.

Good is something that always refines and evil is something that always grows on it

One can just do what one can. Good grows tired, evil does too. One can just wait till this God burnt itself out for anything else.

Why? People would still try to worship and frick it.

He is an ugly and evil fool, but like you said he's also deceptive. People want to believe something beautiful that isn't God, because God asks things of them that they aren't willing to do. Satan doesn't ask for anything but worship, and gives you whatever useless garbage you ask for and he deems necessary for his goals. Satan presents himself as an angel of light. If he showed people how hideous he really is, they would be less receptive to his nonsense. He wants to be thought of as the tragic Lucifer from Paradise Lost, not the hideous and stupid moron he really is.

How do you know he even has a choice? Read further down to get my point.

Pic Related is why everything you're saying is bullshit.

If anything Satan is just a slave like the rest of us being forced to play an assigned role in God's game.

Ask yourself, does Satan even have a choice on whether or not he gets to tempt humans to sin?

If he stopped doing this one day, would God cast him into his own hell?

I don't think Christians understand that they more they describe their God as being all powerful and all knowing, the scarier and more psychotic of a being he becomes, because it begs the question - "Does the villain of the story have a choice?"

We could even look at this another way. What if the game that God and Satan played with Job was just a microcosm of the larger game at hand being played with all of us an our souls.

What if the entirety of existence is just a game between two friends. Like a game of chess, and Satan is playing with the "black pieces" (the bad guy) for this game.

What if to higher beings were no different than how we view the NPC's in a game. Do you feel bad when you kill people when playing Grand Theft Auto?

If not, why would higher beings who are so beyond us feel bad when playing a game with your lives, our souls which from their perspective are just artificial creations in the same way we look at code.

There's just too much about the universe that we don't understand and everybody just playing a guessing game while being arrogant and asserting that their theory of existence is the correct one.

        >If anything Satan is just a slave like the rest of us being forced to play an assigned role in God's game.
No, he chose to be who he is. He was given that choice by God. Every angel was.
        >Ask yourself, does Satan even have a choice on whether or not he gets to tempt humans to sin?
Yeah he does lol. He can just not do it. God doesn't force him to tempt us to sin, he wants to do it because he hates humans and gets a measure of comfort from seeing us frick up and get fricked up in the way he did. Misery loves company.
        >If he stopped doing this one day, would God cast him into his own hell?
He's an angel so all of his decisions are final. He can't stop doing this, but also doesn't want to and is incapable of wanting to. Again, God didn't program him to do this. Angels perfectly understand a concept the very moment they become aware of it. He knew what rejecting God meant and did it anyway.
        >Does the villain of the story have a choice?
Again, yeah, he did. Every single angel was given a choice. He chose to be what he is.
        >All the other teenage pothead tier new age slop you said
No. God created you because he's the source of all good and wanted to share goodness and love with other beings. He won't ever force you to do anything. You aren't a pawn. He didn't force Lucifer to do anything either, both you now and him then have a choice. Just know, willingly separating yourself from the source from which the concept of goodness itself emanates might have some negative consequences. God doesn't send anyone to hell, people would rather go to hell than defer to God.

Did you even read over your own post.

If he can't stop doing it, and God has designed/compelled him to not want stop, that by definition means he doesn't have a choice lol.

          That was literally my point.

You contradicted yourself in a single post.

          >God created you because he's the source of all good and wanted to share goodness and love with other beings
You don't know that, that's just what you were taught to believe. It's really arrogant to say shit like this when we literally don't know. It's all just pure faith, there's no evidence for any religious belief.

Yeah I realized I worded that poorly after I posted it you aggro sperg. Lucifer and all angels were given a choice at the moment of their creation whether or not to serve God and eventually humans. Every angel perfectly understood the nature of God and humans at the moment they were made aware of them. Satan and one third of angels chose to rebel. Because they have perfect knowledge of all things they're aware of, and because they exist outside of time, all of their decisions are final. Lucifer CHOSE to do this. He COULD HAVE not done it. But he's prideful, and failed to overcome that pride. He completely understood the consequences. You can make decisions and go back on them because you're a human. You're ignorant, your knowledge is imperfect, time is linear for you. This is also why you're eligible for salvation, and Satan isn't. Satan doesn't want salvation, didn't want salvation, and because he chose at the very begining to reject God, is incapable of wanting it. But he knows it's good, and doesn't want you to have it.
            >You don't know that, that's just what you were taught to believe. It's really arrogant to say shit like this when we literally don't know. It's all just pure faith, there's no evidence for any religious belief.
I've had unambiguously supernatural experiences na na na boo boo I don't give a frick how arrogant that sounds you profane normie materialist. You're a stubborn imbecile.

            >Yeah I realized I worded that poorly
You didn't word it poorly, you worded it honestly, and now your brain is going into mental gymnastics mode to try and back-peddle and think of ways to reword it, but it's too late for that and it wouldn't make sense anyways.

You guys can't even make up your mind on whether or not Satan has free will or is another pawn of God. Stop speaking as if we haven't all seen this very same contradiction dozens of times.

You didn't word it incorrectly, it's the same shit I've seen already, it was your only response. There's an inherent contradiction when it comes to the doctrine.

            >God is all powerful and all knowing, Satan is so stupid to defy God
Ok, so the all powerful and all knowing God created Satan to specifically fulfill that role in his prophecy, so isn't God actually Satan by proxy. Why blame Satan for being at the mercy of God's prophecy?
            >Uh.. uh... no, angels had the freedom to choose to rebel and Satan along with a 3rd of the the angels decided to rebel
Ok, so God isn't all knowing as there are things that can happen outside of his knowledge, like the ability of his creations to choose to do something he didn't decide for us (free will)
            >No, free will exists even when God simultaneously forces us through design and prophecy to fulfill specific roles.
That doesn't make any sense. If were designed to follow prophecy and make specific decisions, then we don't have free will. You can't have it both ways

Basically, pic related refutes any nonsense you have to say. You aren't saying anything new, these contradictions are old as dirt.

Time for me to sleep, good night. Try and think it over.

Satan is literally the metaphor for our own spiritual laziness that makes us for example binge on candies. Makes sense that in current day it's someone that uses talk over brute animalistic passion. "Science says red wine/masturbation/chopping off genitals is actually good for you!" yeah sure.

The teachings of "Satan" are your way out of here.

"As above, so below" refers to the mind. Your perception of your life above in your mind is how your life will appear below in reality.

The image of Baphomet being both male and female simply says that the world consists of both male and female qualities, people, and energies. It can't be genderless.

The great deception is not realizing this.
