As a Mahayana practitioner, I ascend really far and I realized that when I noticed that I don't argue with anyone anymore. That's one part of the middle of the Bodhisattva path. I become exhausted from working in the garden with my dad and he tried to literally gaslight me into thinking I'm not actually exhausted lmao. And I just say yes true dad. You're right dad. Hahaha. Buddhism is so awesome.

Um. It is very clear what I'm on about. Anyone with no autism in his mind could know it. I'm not gonna explain it because I want you to understand it yourself, why someone would make such a post as this and then you will have achieved something by yourself, we don't need nannies going around explaining everything to us we're not babbies.

The real reason is emptiness. Nothing has inherent self-essence. That is why there is no reason I posted this thread. It is simply a thread.

Yes. Nothing is important. Be full of compassion and meditate.

I'm saying not anything is important. Not, "nothing" itself is important. In case you misunderstood. Just meditate and chant the heart sutra mantra, Om Gate Gate Pāragate pārasamgate bodhi svāhā.

why would I chant a mantra if “not anything” is important?

Vedic person here, I just wish to say, frick buddhists, because of your impersonal paths you fall to instinctual primordial nonsense very easily.

If you dont focus on god, then the beast of "compassion and love" will come out, along with other shadow elements. Buddha was cool but by no means better than a regular demi god lmao. The god head that is krishna beats the ever living shit out of you lol

Most arguments are pointless - it is wise to realize this. However, in the case where someone is trying to impose their version of reality on you, like your dad was, you are being attacked and it's completely reasonable to set a boundary and say, "No, you can't tell me what I'm feeling. I know what I'm feeling." Not that this particular example is dire, but by accepting other people trouncing on your boundaries, you're setting a precedent for them to do so in the future, with more important things like finances.

I'm all for letting sleeping dogs lie, but sometimes you have to have a backbone and establish yourself as a being worthy of respect and dignity. This, I believe, is the root of most people's gripes with contemporary western Buddhist philosophy and the like.
